Nice hardware store. I enjoy shopping here. They always seem to have what I need. I stopped in recently to get a 21" lawnmower blade. They had what I needed. It's on my mower now. Friendly and helpful staff. Small store and lacks selection of a larger Ace Hardware that would carry a large selection of mowers, edgers, chain saws, etc.. Has the hardware and plumbing down fully. The value at Ace is service.. Someone will almost always ask "can we help you find something?" when you walk in the door. At the other big box stores the staff seems put out by questions and it's been my experience they don't have any idea what you are asking for and on the off chance the do, they don't know where it is kept. Value at Ace is service. It's my default store and I find pricing in line with the others. read more

Solid mini hardware store. I wouldn't say the employees are the most knowledgeable. They make it up in politeness. If you need basics, you might find it. Strangely they are constantly out of the inventory they do carry. Or... is everyone buying everything first thing in the morning? Either way, the place is convenient. Across the street. This location has a sign on the wall that says smile you're on camera for shoplifting deterrent which is ironic because none of the employees can be bothered to smile or even look up from their phones. This location doesn't adhere to the posted business hours. You never know if they're going to be open or if they just decided to lock up 30 (or more) minutes early. It's very frustrating to make a trip in the opposite direction than Home Depot or Lowe's only to find out once you get there the staff closed early. read more

The ONLY reason I come to this store is because they are close and convenient. I've been coming to this store for 2 years now, and I can honestly say the customer service here SUCKS every single time I've been here an associate has never asked if I needed help I've asked questions and the reply I've gotten is "you really don't know which screws to use" and laughs in my face and points me towards the back and never leaves the counter. Today on my visit the young frat kid behind the counter couldn't be bothered either. Not a single word from him other than "receipt?" I called the store to see if they had a specific product in stock. The man who answered the phone found the item, read the label information to me to confirm it was the product I wanted, then offered to leave it at the checkout counter for me, which I agreed would be a great idea. On arriving at the store minutes later, the product was at the checkout counter. The clerk at the counter was alert, friendly, and professional. While I was checking out, the person I had spoken with on the phone stopped at the counter to say hello. I really appreciated the prompt, courteous service I received. This store is amazing! I will never shop at Home Depot again unless I'm looking for wood. This location has everything you could want and the employees are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure you have a 5 star experience. I went to 3 auto zones and two Home Depot's both didn't have the right sized screw which this ACE location had. Went back for a bulb I couldn't find anywhere and there it was. I even bought a golf cart here just because I know if there's any issue they will go out of their way to ensure it's resolved. Absolutely wonderful shopping experience each and every time. No staff were wearing masks or bothered to maintain a safe distance away. I was just blown away by the lack of concern for the health and safety of both the staff and customers. The location is very convenient to large communities like Seven Hills and Bentwater. However, the selection of common items is extremely limited and what they do have is twice what you would pay somewhere else. Closing at 6pm on weekdays is also ridiculous considering most people are just getting home from work by then (Yelp shows 7pm, but they close at 6pm). read more

Hours posted are 5 to 10 minutes sooner. So if you are thinking you can rush over for something quick 5 minutes before closing your SOL. If you are looking for a chipped Auto Key to be made, search somewhere else. I spent $100 for a spare key and had trouble using it. My car wouldn't start but half of the time. I took it back to be reprogrammed and they told me it was my car even though I never have an issue with the original key that came with the car. But.. If you are looking for a house key to be remade, they do that well. That's the only reason they got 3 stars from me. read more

We moved to Dallas 3 months ago, and every time we've needed something from the hardware store, my husband has bet me that this "small" hardware store wouldn't have it and we'd have to go out to Cobb Parkway to get it. Up until this convoluted situation, we have had great customer service. In the store, we have always been helped & items quickly obtained. On 2/28/18-I was needing major project items for controlling intense water damage to our yard. Rains were forecasted, rains were coming. Dalton helped me on 2/28: He helped with what sizes of lumber I would need to make the terracing steps on the hill; looked at French drain items for the next project; he set up a delivery for 3/1/18-he wrote the location to drop on the in-store invoice. I asked if I needed to be at the house he said no. I was excited as he stated they usually do not deliver such low quantity amounts, but knew my need. He got special permission to get the products to me & the company only charged me $15. 3/2/18 We left for the day. I put in front of the driveway a wheel barrow with a large sign with the words, "DROP HERE". I received a call from the delivery guy, "the 24 bags of pea gravel could not be located." I explained to him that I was in a pinch with a guy showing up Sat that was to be paid for his time. The delivery guy suggested I get a different rock. I further explained the rock was being used for steps so the rock was going to be traversed on & does not need to be sharp or fragile. The guy said he had red lava rock he could bring & we would just be even since that is more expensive. We were phoned again. Delivery guy stated he was at the house & had been trying to get in touch with me. He advised he had only found 13 bags of the lava rock & did I want them. I said, "no. I need all the rocks at one time so the will all be the same color." I asked when the pea gravel would be available. The guy said he would let me know when he got back to the store. 3/5/18, I called the store a male answered. I said, "My name is Katherine, I purchased 24 bags of pea gravel that were to be delivered this past Friday. Is there..." (I was cut off by the person on the phone) The male said, "That was me. I told you I would let you know." & hung up. I paused & was in shock. I waited a few days before calling again. When I called a young lady answered the phone. She put me on hold to ascertain about the gravel. She said the gentleman was on the phone right now & could he call me back. I told the lady on the phone that I was getting frustrated that I had purchased the pea gravel since I had a guy coming to my house on Sat. I had to pay him since I cancelled on him & he had arranged to get out of work to help me. That no one is telling me when the gravel is going to be here that I needed to know so I could arrange for help that this week was my only chance to get help. She said she understood & would get the gentleman to call me back. Later that day the lady called. She stated that the truck may come sometime that week & they would call me when the rocks got here. 3/9/18 came & no phone call. I called & an older lady answered. I told her my urgency of needing the pea gravel. She said that a truck was coming next week. Upon speaking with my mom since at this point I wasn't sure what to do or who to get to help me but an actual landscaping company. My mom helped me rationalize by asking why I wanted them to deliver. I told her that they delivered up at the top of the driveway & by unloading the bags of rock that is less work from me. That if they could put the bags in the driveway I could rip into the bags & shovel rock into the wheelbarrow a little at a time. At this point, I gave them yet another chance. 3/15/18 I realized I hadn't heard from the store. So I called. The older lady answers the phone & says it should be here on the truck since it was ordered Tuesday. The lady on the phone assures me that I will get called. 3/16/18 happens. No calls. 3/17/18-I call them. A male puts me on hold & finds out there is no pea gravel at the store. On 3/19/18 at 9:36am, I go to the store & return 24 bags of pea gravel for a total of $97. I went straight to the cashier, Andrea. There was no suggestion as to any part of the delivery fee to be returned to me. Albeit, it was only a total of $15 however, some of the delivery should have been returned since it wasn't my fault the pea gravel was sold out from under me or actually was never at the store. During this transaction, absolutely no apologies were made to me for this frustration or time consumption by them. The lady starts to turn her back on me. I ask her, "Do you carry children's wheel barrows or smaller wheel barrows" She looked at me without skipping a beat, without looking up inventory in the computer, without looking outside & said an emphatical, "no" & then started turned her back to me. I then stayed the course. I then asked for a stapler so for the receipts. She handed me the stapler & left the counter. So much is said on their demeanor on how the overall discussion on a situation has been spoken about amongst employees and mgmt. Had to get parents to haul rock from jefferson-2 hrs away. Fantastic Customer Service! I went in to purchase a door stopper and to have a key made for one of my tenants and upon testing the key, I discovered it was completely bent and couldn't fit in the door. I took the key back immediately to have it replaced and the manager Angie was quick to apologize and offered to make it right without any hesitation! She personally ensured the accuracy of the new key prior to me leaving the store and even had Chesley (whom I call the key-master) fix my newly selected key without any wait. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars renovating my house since September, and I can always trust that this Ace will have the supplies that I need to get the job done. The staff is super helpful and quick to greet customers giving me the ease and comfort of getting in and getting out. I definitely recommend coming here for your everyday project needs! They have always been very helpful to me when I have went in. They have great deals often. I love getting lumber from here vs Home Depot or Lowe's. The lumber is in a big open area and it's easy to sort through and pick out. This is my favorite store for all of my projects. read more
