Great location on Cobb Parkway. Near Starbucks & Walmart. Plenty of parking. It's a large shop with plenty of room so you can push carts around and not bump into other customers. So far they have had everything that I have needed for gardening & landscaping. They helped me identify the type of grass in my yard and recommended the proper grass seed to fill in bare areas. read more

This is my happy place, and I drive 25 minutes from the Cartersville area to shop here. I can find such a better variety here than our options, and there hasn't been one visit that I haven't been offered help. Normally, I'm asked by many associates if I need help, and each has been so knowledgeable. I'm come several times a year, but as for bigger projects, last year, we built a new large pollinator garden with only native plants and this spring, we basically started over on an overgrown landscaping island, and both times, associates helped us for quite some time using their knowledge of the plant, garden positioning (relative to sun direction), soil conditions, and required maintenance to plan the projects out without upselling anything, which I appreciate. I believe they said they do have guarantees on their bushes and trees. read more

They lost a life-long customer this past Sunday. ... I've spent over 20k with this company.. Sunday they wouldn't discount an over $1000 order... so I left it at the checkout counter (all three overflowing carts)...and walked out. I've always praised this store, I've always recommended this store and EVERY TIME I go there the manager is nice enough to knock a little money off this tree, and little off this plant and save me money.. Usually I get 10-25% off the purchase for that day. Sunday, they weren't having it.. I believe the manager was Mike. I want to give a shout out to Glenda Erwin in the house plants area. I came in Wednesday looking for a gift. I did not like any of the arrangements they had pre-made, but Glenda dropped what she was doing and let me pick out my own plants and then arranged them in a pot with soil and rock. Visited this location on 1/14/19 (mid morning). Granted it was cold, but not one employee in the greenhouse. Needed a particular shrub, and had to walk (severe arthritis) 2/3 of the greenhouse, before I "found" what I needed. I did not make a purchase, because the selection AND quality were unacceptable. I know it is "off season", and will try again in March. read more

Update: I was contacted by the Regional Manager and he apologized for my visit to Pikes yesterday...he stated that he would be sending me a gift card... Below is the same email message that I sent to Pikes Corporate office: I would like to lodge a complaint against the cashier at my Acworth store... I went there today to make a purchase and she rang up my items and quickly packed them up and I was on my way... I thought the amount was high considering what I bought so, looking at the receipt, I notice that I did not get the sale price on the herbs that I purchased... I took the receipt back in and told her that they were supposed to be on sale ... She asked over the walkie if the herbs were on sale and received the answer that yes they were 30% off... She rings up the refund but it would not allow her to return the money back onto my debit card... she proceeds to ask me if it's OK that she gives me a store credit... I told her no...she checks with the manager to see if it is ok to give me cash back...she returns and finishes giving me the $9.50 that I was overcharged...as I'm walking away she stated to me that it is not their policy to give cash back...I thought that was VERY RUDE and reminded her that it was her error in the first place for not knowing what items are on sale and for not ringing my items up correctly in the first place...no error on my part... Needed some shrubs to replace others that had been victims to a plight.... Pikes on 41 in Acworth was our first stop... great selection, very helpful folks.... had to visit the big box places just to see and made a b-line back to Pikes!! Purchased our shrubs and headed home to start digging, had them in place within and hour.... looking good!!! I am a regular customer at Pike's. I purchased 3 hanging baskets with beautiful petunias and calbrichoas, and within two weeks they started to die off. I understand that sometimes bad batches happen, so I decided to call the store (receipt in hand, just in case) and discuss a possible return or exchange. I was told that they do not take back any plants that cannot be resold again. What? Now, I'm not exactly a garden pro, but my green thumb won't go so far to kill plants I paid $30 a piece for! The policies should be a bit more lenient based on the customer's issues or circumstances. Not accommodating a customer in any way whatsoever means you lost one. I'll be doing my shopping with Home Depot from now on, as they have a one year guarantee on ALL plants. Enjoy embracing your green thumbs with this in mind, people! If your plants die, Pike has nothing to do with it at all. read more

Horrible. Waited 4 months and finally had to go to manufacturers to get replacement parts. Send thousands of dollars at store and that's going to change . Time to find new nursery. read more
