    I wanted to share my terrible experience at the Bartlett Home Depot store. I was in search for a new patio sliding door. I purchased a sliding door with built in blinds from Home Depot in Bartlett. Once after I had it installed by my installers, I come to find out that in Bartlett it is illegal to install a patio door with built in blinds. However Bartlett Home Depot never notified me that this is the case. Even they know my delivery address for the door is in Bartlett. No one ever told me at Home Depot I can not put in patio doors with blinds. I have now been trying to work with Home Depot in Bartlett to get this installed door replaced or fixed and everyone I have talked to at this Home Depot since has turned their backs on me. I have still to find a resolution on a $2,000+ purchase I have made incorrectly due to the negligence of Home Depot of Bartlett.

    I had been painting the inside of my house for a few weeks slowly. I usually get paint from the Home Depot's in South Elgin. I stopped at this Home Depot on the way home went to the paint counter gave them my order walked away for a moment came back and the paint was already done. I went home and applied it immediately woke up in the morning it looked awful. Dark spots and light spots everywhere. I repainted with the rest of the paint another coat and it looks terrible. I go back to the store he said he mixed it for one minute. I told him that wasn't long enough my wall looks terrible and he seemed he could really care less. I was walking out and I go to the service desk and asked to speak to the manager and what I got was well I'm the manager up here. I guess that's code for not wanting to be talking to the store manager. She was very dismissive and said she'll talk to him but I could really tell she could care less also. For a minute I thought maybe they were related and she was The kids mom who is working at the paint counter. anyway I'm in the parking lot A little angry not because of the mix paint but the careless attitude and he'll just keep doing it. I called Home Depot and they were very polite online and put me through to a warranty company. Not a big deal it was 1 gallon of paint but then I never received the return call from them either.

    I have a 5-year extended warranty on my Whirlpool heat pump dryer (now 4 years old) and scheduled a…read moretechnician through Whirlpool, so I had not read reviews of this company. I lol-ed when I saw so many others with poor experience. The issue with our dryer is a burning smell that gets into the clothes when the dryer runs. It's been worsening for months and I finally decided it was worth a service call. On the plus side, Ricardo called when he was on his way; arrived within the scheduled appointment window; and asked if he should remove his shoes. That's worth two stars. On the negative side, he clearly arrived with no expectation of having to do any work. I described the burning smell and showed him a buildup of lint past the inner filter that Whirlpool's design makes impossible to access. I thought it's likely the dryer is working extra hard because of that lint buildup (heat pump dryers have two lint filters instead of one, and need extra TLC to run super-efficiently). I had hoped a technician could clean out the lint, and I would have been happy to pay for it. But Ricardo claimed he was only sent to my home to make sure the dryer wasn't about to "blow up." He gave no indication of actual knowledge about how the unit worked; he man-splained everything I'd said right back at me, then started interrogating me as to why I bought this particular type of dryer, as though my buying an energy-efficient appliance was offensive to him personally. When I asked if he knew if any part of the clean-out work he proposed I schedule ("two technicians, $600-$800") would be covered under my extended warranty, he gave me the most haunting dead-eye stare I have ever seen. At least he promptly left when I asked him to. Ricardo is probably the rudest and most unhelpful technician I've ever interacted with.

    I have been waiting on a part since June 5. 2026. The first guy came on June 5, stated he needed to…read moreorder a part for the ice maker on my refrigerator. He took pictures of the tag with the model number & part numbers on the inside of the fridge. The part came in another guy brought it to repair it & it was the wrong part. How can you order the wrong part when you have the part number in front of you. Upon him leaving my home, I noticed that the water dispenser was no longer working. However, it was working prior to the 2nd guys visit. I called informed them that zi will not be paying another service fee and I want my ice & water dispenser fixed at the same time. It has been nearly a month (4weeks) and the ice maker is still not fixed. When I purchased my refrigerator I made sure I purchased an appliance that was made in the USA so that I would not incur the problems with waiting on a part from overseas. This totally unacceptable, I should be compensated for the ice that I have been purchasing since June 6. And let's not forget that items that I place on that side in the refrigerator freezes overnight. Needless to say I do NOT recommend this company for appliance repair.
