It's about customer service and forming real relationships. They're a community based small business and their mission is about personalized service to make your life easier. Businesses like this need to be supported. And St. Charles is part of giving back to fellow neighborhood organizations. They sponsor the Anderson Humane, The Chamber of Commerce, St Charles Business Alliance, St Charles East and North High Schools. They have a terrific "Best Rewards" Customer Loyalty Program. It's a way for them to say..."thank you to those who have become part of our local, independently owned hardware store family", according to their website. A hardware store can be filled with an overabundance of supplies and gadgets that can leave the average household/business owner feeling overwhelmed. Here at St. Charles, it's their kindness and hands on human-element experience that go a long way in making the improvements journey...a fulfilling one.
