Came here last weekend when I was visiting my parents and building things. I needed some L corner…read morebrackets and I decided to run over here instead of heading across the river and over to Lowes or Home Depot. The website said the items were in stock, and they were. An employee asked if I needed help finding anything, which I appreciated. The prices are a little higher here than at HD/Lowes for equivalent things (the brackets I bought here were just under $5 vs $2 and change at the other places), but it's convenient and I like that it feels more personable. For the odd project and hardware need, I don't mind paying a bit more for convenience. But if I needed more than 3 sets of brackets, I would've taken the time to head across town to save the extra cash. Sadly their popcorn machine wasn't in use while I was there, though.

Case in point now - I wanted a very basic snowblower. HD and Lowe's only had giant expensive fancy ones, so I got the basic one from Menard's. Right out of the box it doesn't even start. Take it back to the service desk and they can't start it either. But they won't take it back because it has gas in it now.
