I have been shopping at this Ace since they opened their doors 30 plus years ago, under those same rules, which i have accepted. The group of women that have run that place for years, or replacements cut from the same cloth, have always been rude, nasty, almost hostile........ALWAYS, and for NO reason. Today, as before on many occasions, i made a simple $15 purchase. In, out, no issue. Yet the simple act of checking out was i again forced to be insulted and lectured simply because the old gas bag didn't listen to my words, didn't do it right, and had to do it all over again which she didn't like.......and yes, she let me know. I'm done. I'd rather swim 30 miles to another store than set foot in there again. If you doubt my words, ask anyone that shops here....better yet read the one star reviews

Came here last weekend when I was visiting my parents and building things. An employee asked if I needed help finding anything, which I appreciated. The prices are a little higher here than at HD/Lowes for equivalent things (the brackets I bought here were just under $5 vs $2 and change at the other places), but it's convenient and I like that it feels more personable. For the odd project and hardware need, I don't mind paying a bit more for convenience. But if I needed more than 3 sets of brackets, I would've taken the time to head across town to save the extra cash. Sadly their popcorn machine wasn't in use while I was there, though.

I did research the lumens I would need for good light....too many lumens can look very blue, so I downgraded about 25% for the space. It was perfect. Got our fireplace upgraded last November just in time for the holidays and we have had a winter and early spring filled with nice ambiance in our den. The whole installation process only took about 4 hours from installing the gas line, putting in the gas logs, sweeping our chimney and painting the interior box. They came out a few weeks later and got our nice new glass doors installed replacing our dated old 80s brass ones. So efficient and couldn't be more satisfied!
