The qualifications to work here are to be rude, incompetent, and lazy. Terrible customer service, your employees want the customers to do their jobs for them. A tall Mexican girl at the Customer Service counter acted like I was inconveniencing her when I tried to get help with finding an item, all while a speaker next to the register blasted music at an insanely loud volume right in my face and we could barely hear each other. I even brought in the part I was looking for and no one could help me locate it in the store. Garden section only looks good because the slightest yellowing or curling of leaves gets tossed out. I went in today and saw 7/8 carts FULL of plants ready to be thrown out. When I say full I'm talking OVERFLOWING of the carts. As a plant lover it's so sad to see. I went to try to save a few as well as purchase a kiddie pool and they refused to let me save some plants from getting tossed out. You'd think it'd better to mark them down to 90% and make some money for the vendor but they'd rather throw out $1000s of dollars. 95% of these plants just needed to be watered but they'd rather just take them to the trash. He was knowledgeable, quick and was such a pleasure. He was able to locate additional material we needed and brought it down for us. If you have their credit card, they often send coupons for 10% off or no interest for a few months making it easier to pay on big projects. read more

I was looking to buy some for a friend and was about to give up, but my boyfriend insisted we stop by Home Depot. I didn't want to go at first because I've never seen flowers there but I thought well what the heck... There isn't any other place I can think of. Upon walking in, there were so many great choices! All healthy looking. I was very surprised. But Home Depot itself gets a two star because in order to buy a Christmas tree from them you HAVE to pay with a credit card! You can't use cash, your debit card or even a Home Depot card! Wow! I just want to say thank you to Hannah at the customer service desk. I had been trying to source a remote control for my Boreal mini split air conditioner for days with no luck. Hannah couldn't find the item on Home Depot's website but then took the time to find it on Amazon with Google AI photo on her personal phone. She even showed me how to access it on my phone. I want to say this Home Depot in Baldwin Park opened up a little over 20 years ago. When we bought our home in West Covina, they didn't have a Home Depot back then. We were so excited and here daily. It was conveniently close to our home, and so great especially when remolding. They have everything and anything for inside and outside of your home. In the beginning, everything was great. Most of their employees were knowledgeable and helpful. If they didn't know the product (location or about it) they would ask another employee or look it up on the computer to help you to the fullest. Today, they hired a bunch of kinds that are ignorant and rude. You ask then a question they just stare at you confused and say "we don't carry that item anymore." when you walk over a little more and find it right there! So disappointing they let go of all the good ones. It would be great if they can actually train these guys more thoroughly. read more

With this place being as big as it is, it has everything you could ever want in a home improvement project......everything but one item, a sales associate. Though they have improved this part a lot, there are still times that you can't find anybody within that dept., and if you do, it's not their dept, and they will call somebody for you.
