I'm a disabled veteran plant lover who needed larger ceramic pots and more indoor plant soil. I park in one of those spaces reserved for veterans and went shopping inside. I asked a sales lady to help me with the big ceramic pots and saucers and she dropped shelf stocking to load them onto a cart, suggested plastic liners for under the ceramic saucers, and recommended soil with fertilizer and moisture control built in. She even pushed the cart to checkout, helped the cashier, reminded me of the Home Depot 10% discount for Veterans, then loaded it into my SUV!!! Amazing service, thank you Home Depot!!!!! read more

This place is GAF (ghetto as F^#K). Not only do the employees scatter like roaches when you walk in and try to make eye contact because there's only two or three of them running the entire 60,000 square-foot hardware but they don't know where anything is. I asked to employees wear something was located neither one of them knew but gave me a recommendation and then a fellow customer had their app on his phone. We referenced the app which told me a particular section and I offer this location and it was completely 100% wrong. On top of that I approached a gentleman in the lumber area asking if he had seen an employee and he replied that he was an employee didn't work there. He was in jeans in a dirty T-shirt with sweat stains... I was a palled. I never was able to find the simple screw and hook that I needed because nobody could find them and there appeared to be one woman running the entire front of the store. Nobody in customer service and one woman guarding the exit doors to make sure that the customers wear their own cashiers. I honestly hate going to this hardware but I had to because it was convenient but I ended up having to go somewhere else anyway. During Covid-19 the store was booming. Customers were keeping their appropriate distance. Employees had on masks, and were very friendly and helpful. Staff were disinfecting the self checkouts. One staff member tapped the screen for me so I didn't have to touch it. But, please don't touch my credit card. I can use that myself. read more

I am 65 and I can't load soil by myself and waited 30 minutes and nobody came they finally said that they don't have it outside you would have to get it inside the garden center and I got really mad and I had my grandson with me and he had to load it because no garden center worker and she said it wasn't her job. I am a huge fan of this Home Depot location. I always find the store to be well staffed, parking lot has easy accessible parking, always clean and organized. I've recently started the online order pick up, and Home Depot has definitely figured out how to do this right with a convenient pick up window at the entrance. Highly recommend shopping this way - their website always accurately reflects product descriptions. Customer service is all time high here -I've had a few instances where the employees are flexible and go beyond their job to ensure I have a positive experience. Obvious tip: avoid peak weekend hours. I find after 5pm on Saturday and Sunday to be excellent shopping windows to avoid a crowd. read more

The foolery of this store! I've been here twice in the past couple of weeks and every time I return it gets worse. The first experience I was trying to find a specific light bulb for a new lamp, a worker showed me to the light bulb section and then said "here you go!" Like boy! I asked for a certain light bulb and this man just dipped, I ended up ordering the bulb off amazon. Another time I was looking for a specific fan to cool my swine off in this sweltering summer heat. We asked 3 different people and they all just directed us to the fan section when we're specifically telling them the fan wasn't there! -This is mostly a review of the nursery section but also an issue we had- We went to home depot for one thing they said they had online. We went, we looked, they didn't even have one like it. We ended up going to another hardware store to pick up our item. We also stopped in the nursery to see if there were any succulents that i wanted to take home. They had a rack of new succulents that they just brought in all in great health for now. The rest of the nursery had some mildly nice houseplants in okay health and there was one more rack of dead succulents. The rest of the store is was fine. This place just made me a life long Lowe's customer. I ordered a grill gazebo on line because they don't have any in store. Had it delivered to the store or else I would have been charged a delivery fee. When I went to the customer service desk she had to call in the back to find out that it was already up front in her area. Then I have to listen about how someone else didn't do their job and mark it in the computer right. I also found out that they will not give the military discount for items bought on line was told I don't have that button. (Lowe's does for you vets). So now I take my cart of items I bought in the store up to an open line start checking out and grab my military Id to show it and she points to a little 4"x5" sight that they can't process military in that line so I go to the next line and she says nope don't blame us we're just following rules turns out that there is only one line that military can go through now and that happened to be the one with a line. Great So now I go outside to pull my truck and trailer up can barely squeeze in their are like 6 trucks parked in under the shelter but nobody is loading that's weird until I find out that they put up signs for pro parking under the shelter yep so 2 lanes for loading nope not anymore one is for parking and the hashed lined area had another truck and trailer in it. On the positive side I found someone to help load when I got in there when I made the comment about people parking and not loading he told me well we know them and they come here all the time. Great Home Depot here in Bainbridge. Perfectly located between Aurora and the Chagrin Valley so it is easy to access. Friendly people in terms of staff and as In typical Home Depot fashion, great selection and prices on many things to assist with any and all DIY projects- which I am a bit fan of doing . The best thing , to me, is that they will cut wood for me! Such a bonus when I don't feel Like dragging home tree size pieces of wood for projects. Had a great experience today. Had a very large paint order with some very specific needs. The paint department girl (sorry if this is not PC) was very helpful in providing a special ratio and was very knowledgeable. (June 29th and 30th at 10 am) . She had my order ready and waiting for me the next morning and said she could add more pigment if I needed, Also, there are major rebates now ($40 off every 5 gallons of paint). I have never in my life had Worse customer service then at this Home Depot in Aurora Ohio. We purchased a dishwasher several years ago and it was still under warranty and broke. They use a service company that came out "fixed" our dishwasher, then it broke again and water was leaking into our basement. Then we had to do another service call, and they canceled on us. Then we did another service call and they came out again and this time the guy did not fix the leak, he left and it continued to leak into our basement. We now have $5000 worth of damage in our basement from this leaky dishwasher that the service company fixed and broke again. And let me say that my husband made approx 10 phone calls to get the service company Out here each time with a minimum of collectively two hours for each phone call. It was ridiculous! AND all of this non- service spanned 2 months! So finally gave up because we did not have time to continue to do dishes by hand anymore so we bought a new dishwasher somewhere else. Now we are trying to get a refund from our dishwasher that we bought at Home Depot that was still under warranty that broke- and $5000 of damage to our basement later, they will not give us our money back for the original dishwasher which is now sitting in our garage waiting to go back to Home Depot! This is the biggest scam ever! They sell you a warranty but then hook you up with a service company that will not come out and when they do, they just continue to break things - then Home Depot will not step in and fix the situation- or take responsibility for hiring an in competent service company that damages your home! This is the worst non-service I have ever had and I am in disbelief that Home Depot will not give us our money back. We are still waiting to hear from them, and they are nitpicking and trying to find loopholes to get out of giving us our money back instead of just taking responsibility for their warranty failing. Home Depot is a convenient, big box supplier. My experience is that the associates are almost always friendly and not imposing. They don't aggressively invite themselves into one's shopping, but often ask if they can be of help. Sometimes they offer insights and explain differences in ways of tackling a project. Sometimes, they will indicate they aren't familiar with some expertise and offer a name to call back the next day at the store. This is 3.75+ star service for a home supply store. The selection is usually good. Prices tend to be high, but if you look for the post-peak season discounts you get a decent deal. (I have not used any contractors or delivery service.) This particular location seems well kept. We've bought a handful of potted plants, which seemed to weather their season well enough. read more

I absolutely love Home Depot it is my go to for all things that involve my home. Today I stopped by to see if I could find any winter shrubs. I hate seeing my empty planters without flowers. I ended up picking out some Holly plants that actually will look quite nice in the winter. Home Depot is the kind of place that you could find anything that you need to help make your home better I usually end up somehow finding hardware, door knobs, sometimes even some really nice mirrors. Did you know they even had drapery and curtains that you can custom order? I had no idea. They have an awesome paint selection. This Home Depot tends to be very nice and clean. The part I like best is that I can actually get help and a lot of locations help is very hard to find. It seems that the store in Aurora is very well staffed and the staff is eager to help the customers which is a plus because of the female and a home-improvement store sometimes I have a hard time navigating. This is our local Home Depot which we have been using for a while. It's a pretty clean store compared to other surrounding Depots, however, the customer service can't really be rated because it's practically nonexistent. During a recent visit on a slow Saturday night we were looking in the flooring area and were passed by the lone flooring associate at least five times without any acknowledgement of our presence. Once we completed our $200+ purchase in flooring we walked passed the desk and there she was sitting on her lazy ass surfing the internet and, still, with a flat cart of product, we were ghosts to her. We then went to hardware and the associate working those aisles passed us with no "hello" or even an "eff you". Terrible. Their employees are incapable of ordering the right carpet. Picked out the carpet, had Home Depot order and install it with their subcontractor. Subcontractor called to confirm with the carpet name and everything which was correct. They show up with the wrong carpet as Home Depot sent it to them wrong. It shouldn't be this hard to do your job correctly. I'm now in a bind because of your employees inability to do their job correct. I didn't spend $1200 for simple mistakes like this to happen. read more
