Horrible service. Couldn't get down an isle because a guy with a Pitbull or pit mix couldn't get his dog to ride the cart, all while he was talking to an employee. Said something to the employee who said "yeah, he shouldn't have that dog in here". On the COVID precautions...there are none. Masks are not required, no social distancing. One employee wearing mask under chin, and another pulling it down every time he talked. We've been getting our real Christmas trees from Home Depot for the last 12 years. We were very disappointed last year since our tree dried up within 2 weeks.. I am always careful to water regularly. When we picked up our tree this year, I told the guy working what happened last year and he said "yeah, we had lots of snakes in our trees last year and they suck all the water out". I guess it was not Home Depot's fault but we had to throw our tree out way before New Years Eve. And through Christmas we couldn't turn on the tree lights in fear of starting a fire. Been standing in the appliance section, waiting to buy a fridge. The only associate in this department is to busy talking to people he knows, instead of either seeing what we need or trying to get someone else to help us. When we asked we were told he was helping these people still and could help us when he was done. The guy commented that it was rude of us to have asked if any other associate could help us. The associate Don gave the guy the military discount, even after he was told neither person ever served in the military. When informed that we needed a counter depth ( which is roughly 31.25 deep) he tried arguing that the 34.88 one was counter depth. He was talking down to us like we were idiots. read more

I am so done with this store. I tried to buy a door here over the span of 5-6 months. The size of the door was wrong everytime it came in. We were willing to pay for installation and everything. They ended up refunding us for the door and installation saying it was too much work. I also got yelled at today for sampling the spray paint because it doesnt match the cap. The attendant for the department was a crotchety old man. He yelled at my fiance and I in a threatening manner saying that the paint matches the cap, stop testing it. It was kind of embarrassing. Purchased a Samsung refrigerator... the buying experience was pretty good! Don in appliances was friendly and knew what he was doing. He was a good representative for Home Depot. My only concern with Don is he never mentioned anything about a shut off valve requirement for the install/delivery. And I mention this because I would totally be giving a ONE STAR REVIEW for Home Depot's delivery crew/company because they were completely unwilling and inflexible! They refused to touch the shut off valve because it wasn't behind the frig... so My husband turned the water off (shut off valve) that was not in the location they preferred... and then they refused to install the refrigerator because of some 6 ft requirement about the shut off valve? Which really had nothing to do with anything once the water was off! The installers called their warehouse supervisor who tried to give my husband and I some lame excuse(s) but we had already told the delivery guys to just bring the frig in and leave it -- we would install it ourselves!! They had their supervisor on speaker -- I could hear her telling them to make sure to have us sign some stupid waiver about damages, etc. to our frig (which "we" had already disconnected because we are capable)! The entire delivery was a total cluster!! I'm not handy but my husband is... once they had left -- he took the already existing water line (in the wall/behind the new frig) and twisted it into the new frig... tightened with his pliers and turned the water on -- and DONE!! WHAT WAS THE BIG DEAL?? Please tell me why they couldn't attach-twist-seal and turn on water? It was not complicated but they sure wanted you to believe it was. Oh and BTW... as they moved the existing frig out of the way they left damage in my wall that I'm going to have to repair! THANK YOU HOME DEPOT DELIVERY! read more

I use a handicap cart when shopping and had trouble navigating the store as associates left lumber in the middle of 2 aisles blocking them none of the items were in the location the store app said 1 item that was said to be available in-store was not, and I would have to order it online associates seem to be untrained on the location of items outside of their own department(the person that was most helpful turned out to not work there but was a vendor and knew the store layout himself, and the topper was I accidentally left a bag containing the nails I lost and the shut-off valve for a toilet replacement job I am doing at my home, and the store told me there was nothing they could or would do about it. read more

After comparing price, which is higher than Home Depot across the street, coupled with the fact that their employees ignore he looking for items. i saw the same employee circle the aisle and not say anything. We were tossed around and around like a merry go round to so many people during our concern. It took us many, many calls and calls to attempt to reach someone that could rectify our problem. Oh man, I'm not impressed with the customer service from this location. My in laws ordered our house appliances here and we can't get them delivered when we were told we would be able to. Needless to say, they were so upset, they canceled the entire order and then went to buy them all at Lowes. The other day my mother in law and I were in need of help when a teammate approached us. He was yammering away in the phone, came up to us and without even acknowledging us, he stopped and turned away from us and whispered into the phone that he needed to help a customer. My mother in law and I stood there for another 30 seconds, finally got fed up as he continued his call. My mother in law stormed off to find someone that would help us. I stayed behind, got this person's attention so I could get his name. I literally scanned his apron without saying a word to him. He asked if I needed something. I smiled and responded "Not anymore, Jay, just wanted to make sure I had your name." Guess who was suddenly very interested in helping me. Yes folks, that would be Jay, who was not only suddenly very interested in my existence, but seemed a little panicked, as he very well should be. I would like to point out that the older employees, esp the door greeters, very nice folks and they always make me smile. Jay? Not so much. I was so put off by him, once I'm finished with all this work on the house, I may well find myself with time to call the store manager. Something has happened in Home Depot lately. It used to be that the stores were disorganized, dirty and getting help was near impossible. The last few times I was in a Home Depot I actually liked them MORE than Lowe's. In fact, I think they may be winning me back. The store was nicely stocked for Christmas (unlike Lowe's who sells out of Christmas decor by thanksgiving) and they had tons of staff, many just dedicated to helping those shop the Christmas section. We even went back post-christmas and found several great items at half off. Staff seems fairly knowledgeable too. read more

We have lived in Apopka for over 10 years and I remember when this was basically the only thing out here... We wanted to purchase a tool box for my husband's truck. Went in and looked at one-- turns out it was the last one and a store model. Found a store associate (Andy L) and inquired about buying that one. He asked the size of our truck and said he might have something better and on sale. He measured the other box and then came out and measured our truck with us. He even offered to get the tool box down and let us fit it into the truck. Perfect fit and $80 off-- YES Please!!! The box was missing the hardware to install but Andy grabbed all of that for us ($2!) and off we went, I will forever be loyal to this store-- this is only one out of many amazing experiences we have had here- and I'm so thankful for their great customer service. Be careful! I was just there today looking at flowers. Their outside display of Dipladenias were full of Aphids. I wasn't sure what they were at first. Took a photo and looked them up when I went home. I called the store and let some one in the gardening department know. They thanked me and said they would take care of it. Just wanted to let people know so they check their plants well before purchasing. I bought plants from here about a month ago and everything has been great. Maybe a bad shipment? I'm only giving the 1 star because of the bugs this time. I feel like the plants should be checked for bugs before being sold. My other experiences have been great. read more
