Very unprofessional business. Came to my community to service one of my neighbor and blocked off the entire street forcing everyone to have to reverse down the street. When I said something to the employee they were very nasty in their response and continued what they were doing. Yard Stop Customer Experience Review March 2026 Summary of Overall Experience My recent experience with Yard Stop was a disappointing disaster, primarily due to issues with plant selection, installation inaccuracy, and horrible customer service. Despite investing over $6,000 to replace freeze-damaged plants, the process didn't meet any expectations for professionalism, integrity, or quality. Specific Issues Encountered * Plant Substitution: The plants and sizes that were delivered and installed did not match the varieties and specifications originally agreed upon. For example, certain trees and shrubs were replaced with different species or smaller sizes without prior notification or approval. The classic Bait & Switch. * Installation Errors: Most of the plants were not installed in the locations we discussed with the designer. When I inquired about this, I learned that the installation crew did not have a blueprint and the designer never made one! (The first clue of a half-baked process should have been the designer wearing cowboy boots with shorts.) * Customer Service Issues: When I attempted to resolve these concerns, I communicated with an office representative named Christie. I explained that the lack of a planting blueprint was a major factor in the errors, but instead of my feedback being addressed in a constructive manner, she flew off the handle with saying "there is just no pleasing you people". Additionally, during a visit to select a replacement tree my wife was later informed by the office that she was not permitted in the store, and her purchase was voided without clear justification! Management Response I received an email from a manager I had not previously interacted with, although I requested to speak to him, but Christie refused to put me through to him. The message stated that if my wife or I returned to the store, the authorities would be contacted. This response was unbelievably disproportionate, to put it mildly. This group of ignoramuses should not be dealing with the public. I hope this feedback assists others in making informed decisions to never purchase anything from Yard Stop. read more

Yard Stop! I think it is one of the best nurseries and garden shops in the area. All the plants, trees and bushes and supplies are high quality. I've never had any thing die or wither. Prices are very fair for the quality you get. They source everything they can right here in central Florida. MOST importantly, they still have real, human, friendly and knowledgeable nursery personel that "get" Florida growing conditions. So go buy a box of Petunias or a bag of mulch just to see what you think of the experience. If you like Yard Stop, see how they can work their magic on other (wish i could...) help for your yard or garden. BTW, I'm just a LOMD resident that is not impressed with big box stores, especially plants and bushes. Needed some landscaping done. Had one of there guys come out (Granger Carter), to get a better idea of the job. Exchange personal phone numbers with him and was communicating. He eventually ghosted me about the job and to this day STILL waiting on him to send me the design ideas. That was a year ago. Just extremely unprofessional. I bought these planters from The Yard Stop about a year ago. Love them! Each planter flanks a column and anchors this entrance. I really want to thank Andre for a fantastic recommendation on the plantings. Andre suggested a pencil boxwood for the "thriller". Looks amazing and this tall boxwood is hearty and cold tolerant. Beware make sure that everything you need done is on the estimate and I mean everything. They tell you it's included it's not and then you have to fight for it. They say one thing and do something else. I had sod laid down and one of the pallets had bad sod and they still laid it down. So a little over half of my yard looks great and a little less than half is dead. I hired a company to try and help with the grass they told me the sod was damaged and /or they did not grade the land properly. The grass was watered properly and followed their directions on care and it still did not take or grow. It was just that one section with the damaged sod. Called to try and have them look at it , left a message with NO call back. I also have to hire a company to fix my fence door it was put back incorrectly. For the money I spent I am very disappointed! read more

Kay in particular was extremely friendly and helpful. Having visited many garden centers/nurseries in central Florida, I definitely say this is one of our new favorites. I left a message on the answering machine and never got a response. I then sent an email to them and again didn't get a response for help. I'll never buy another tree or anything from this place. I got quite a project with a decent amount of palms going into my backyard. The plants were great, and the price I payed for them was absolutely reasonable. I purchased the plants with the option of having them installed. Their crew just did the most amazing job I have seen in a long time and we're worth every penny I payed for the installation. Id love to give this company 5 stars, but I just can't. The work they did was excellent, it is the customer service is why I'm giving it one star. We had some problems with the plants/flowers that they used. One had a broken branch, several others died after being planted and a patch of sod never took. We reached several times to Jeremy and he assured us that he would come out and correct the problem. He never did. I even took time on my lunch hour to visit Yard Stop to speak with Jeremy. I was told he was out and they took my number and told me that Jeremy would call me. He never did! This is very upsetting and we paid a substantial amount of money. I had more work for Yard Stop to do, but after this I will look to another company. It's really is ashamed the workers do a great job, but the customer service sucks. So now I have to spend more of my money to fix Yard Stop's failures. read more

Not a bad garden center. Some of the accessories are priced way too high for my budget. I'm not saying they are overpriced, just that there wasn't enough variety for it to fit my budget for those items (such as a birdbath. I didn't find any vegetable plants for my small garden, or any seeds, but my wife bought some flower plants. Be aware that there hours are shorter on Sundays, closing at 3:00. I have no problem with that, but I should have checked their hours before we drove over. Now you don't have to! I expect we will go back there occasionally, though we will not be regular shoppers with other garden supply options out there. read more

Contiplated on writing this reveiw because I don't usually publicly complain, but was compelled after repeatedly reached out the the manager. Bought 3 yards of crushed concrete for my driveway ahead of a large party I was having...the one star is for the salesman and for the delivery guy, they were both very nice... After delivery was made in the beginning of March, I was left with the task of spreading the concrete only to find metal spikes, nuts, nails, plastic and rope. Horrified, I walked the driveway and collected whatever misc garbage that I could see. Later my friend owns a large magnet that hopefully picked up the remainder of the damaging material. Just thinking about all the tires that will be driving over it... Later, I brought my box of rubbish material to the yard stop and left it with a gentleman to give to his manager "Amy" with my name and number...never received a follow up and after 2 attempts, didn't even so much as get an apology. Really aweful management and very disappointed...will definitely find another nursery. read more

One year later after Yard Stop installed our landscape, some of the plants are not doing well....they were not quality plants before they were installed. We spent thousands of dollars with careless installation. A plastic planter was found in the ground. We were promised red crape myrtles and got pink. I drove down to FL so I wanted to bring back some plants. After scouring Instagram and Pinterest, I discovered I needed a rope hoya or a heart leaf fern to take home. And, after a quick search, I found the Yard Stop nearby. They have a separate house for just for gifts which I took advantage of. Bought two recycled glass wasp catcher (cheaper here than any garden centers up North) and two mini butterfly kites. The Bloom Room was where it's happening. It has a cute trendy feel. Looks like you can assemble your own terrarium here with their help - cool! There was some selection for fairy plants but not as extensive as I would have hoped for. (I was looking for some baby tears, too.) Their selection of tropical plants was good. Found both the heart leaf fern and the rope Hoya. Saw some pilea, Swiss monstera, money trees and air plants. The plants are in 4-6 inch pots so not so tiny but not so large. Makes good gifts because I bought 3 rope Hoyas to take with me. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'd stop back the next time we're in FL. read more

Where to start. The crew who set and laid the stones for a patio and courtyard did an amazing job - I would highly recommend that crew However: the landscaping was horrible. Sent the wrong rock and when I went in to let them know it was wrong and that I'd been in numerous times to verify - I was told "it's cheaper". Then about 2 weeks after the job, I started seeing weeds come up. Imagine my surprise when I found they hadn't put landscaping cloth in a lot of the back areas. I have completely redone one area and still have 3 areas to go. THEN we just had curb put around 3 of the areas and in one place they busted the curb. I decided after talking to Chris the first time that all I'm going to get are excuses and no resolution. And here I was hoping that they'd landscape the 150 ft of sea wall that's going in. NO. WAY. Scott is so full of knowledge, he spent a good 2 hours with Michael & I helping us find the right plants for starting the transformation of our new yard. Do not use them!!! We had work done which was not done to spec. We had a bad weed problem in our garden bed. It was beyond what we could do. We hired them to empty the bed, replace the dirt and replace the plants. 3 weeks later 3 plants died and the flower bed is full of weeds. We called to see if they would replace the plants and come and deal with the weeds. We were told the weeds are back because it is raining. No, the weeds are back because they just covered them up with fabric never replacing the dirt. Then we were told to come and get new plants and they would charge 50% to replant. $1100+ job for a small plant bed should include some guarantee and replacement of the plants I would think. I had over $1500 of plants/trees installed 5 months ago. One of them was a $300 weeping bottle bush tree. The top became brown. Matt, who runs the garden center , told me to cut the top off. Each time we came to the yard, I told him the plant shrunk another 2/3". Now it is down by 12/18 inches. He told me today it's my problem. The 6 month warranty does not apply. He would not send someone over ( I'm I5 minutes away), but he may ask George- who I have to pay. Extremely poor service and a warranty that is useless. read more
