The selection is phenomenal, the business is beautifully laid out, and well tended, and the woman who assisted me was knowledgeable and helpful. Selections were reasonably priced. They have wagons you can use to haul your finds around, and I was even given a ride out and back to see some selections that were in their immense field. When you pull around to the parking area, you'll find a wonderful garden shed that serves as their office. Surrounding that are all manner of gorgeous plants on display. This is a family-owned business, and the family knows so much about each and every plant. All I have to do is tell them where I want to put the plants, what kind of soil, and how much light it gets, and they know just what to recommend. What a great place. The owner was exceptionally nice and helpful. I've never plant shopped before but had an idea of the look we were trying to achieve. Struther's is the best local nursery in the Lake County, FL area for the most popular landscape plants. It's a family business with a personal and appreciative attitude. The nursery is landscaped with lots of great ideas for your own yard. And the owners are always very helpful. They will answer all your questions and even drive you around the property to help you with design ideas and to select the best plants. They are also happy to let you browse around the property and explore your own ideas. The plants are very good quality. I've have purchased from Struther's a couple times a year over the past four years and everything I purchase thrives. Their prices are very good especially considering that the plants they are sell are more mature than what you find at the large retailers, they seem to weather better and are more filling in your yard. And Struther's always has a reliable stock of the most popular landscape plants so you can get what you need for your entire job with one trip. Struther's stock keeps up with current trends in landscape design and they carry some fruit and citrus trees and mulch. It would great if they had a larger selection of natives, but it's my favorite local nursery. read more

When you tell them what you need plants for, they are very quick to make suggestions, even going to the trouble to pull out plants and arrange them for you so you get an idea of how it would look at home.
