Homemade angel food cake and whipped cream with strawberries

Oh my goodness. They did it again. Shrimp scampi, spinach salad and garlic bread. Topped off with a delicious angel food cake, strawberries and fresh made whipped cream. This is how a coffee shop shows off its mad food skills of all types. Coffee. Check. Breakfast. Check. Dinner. Absolute check. If you get the chance to try out their dinners, I highly recommend it!

There's a hidden room in the back! Be sure to find it!

Oh. My. Hive! I would come back to Jefferson JUST for The Hive! I love the intentionality of the decor. The atmosphere is welcoming, peaceful, and created for connection. The service was outstanding and the food incredible! We had the sweet potato frittata and before judge me, it was delicious!! I love this little shop! It's a must visit location on your Jefferson visit!

Enjoying our drinks in a cute private room.

So cute! Such a cool vibe and so friendly! Coffee is amazing. I HD the Bumble Bee Butt. So yummy! Honey and lavender latte with bee pollen on top. Hubs had a French press. He said it was smooth and low acidity with a great robust flavor. Will be back EVERY time we visit Jefferson FOR SURE!!! And not just because they appear to be the only game in town. This place is a must stop!! Came back for lunch. Yum!!! I had the combo and got the spinach salad and chicken salad. The balsamic is to die for!!! Loved it! Hubs did the combo with the ham and cheese sandwich and chicken soup. He raved about both! Loved the spicy pickles on the sandwich and the pepper in the soup. Fruit salad was exceptional, too. Didn't take pictures at the start. It's not as attractive as it started, but all yummy!

Worth the short walk from the main down town area, the Hive is _NOT_ to bee missed!! ;-) We're in town for March Miata Madness and already had our eyes on this little local spot but happened to bump into the parents of the owner, Kristi, who were also in town for the Miata event, so there's no way we're not going to bee here! From the moment you lay eyes on this house-turned-coffee-home you're going to smile. You'll meet B-Rex on the front lawn, have a chance to sign the guest book, Kristi will make sure your order is well taken care of, and you can then wander thru the rooms to find the place you want to bee. The front room is just buzzing with strangers becoming friends as we share coffee and stories and live in this moment together. Ordered our usual: decaf flat white with heavy cream. Not on the menu, but Kristi was confident she could still make it happen. And she did! Ratios are right, no foam, SUPER hot, and the kind of velvety deliciousness we've come to enjoy. Hubs prefers his with a slightly stronger bite of coffee flavor, but this sits just right for me. Big selection of breakfast and lunch items (we'll bee back for lunch!) and the pastries look utterly devine. If Gerry and Kathy (mom and dad) are hanging out, you're sure to meet the Welcoming Committee. They are genuinely proud of what their daughter has built and have every right to bee. She is sweet as honey and it's obvious how much she loves what she does. As for us? Glad to have found this little gem in the piney woods and we will certainly bee back! Oozing with charm, this historic home turned coffee shop is perfection. Don't miss this if you're visiting Jefferson. They even have dedicated cups for the regulars! Get the Bumblebee But.

The food was good and the manager came by to check on us. We had chicken and waffles, shrimp & grits, that turkey sandwich and a cinnamon roll. The shrimp & grits could have used a little bit more sauce, perhaps on the side. They had a few large TVs on as well to keep the kids attention. Overall, I would recommend this place. Happy hour looks good too.

The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming--perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a solo meal with great vibes. The food? Fantastic. The menu is creative, fresh, and full of unique flavors that set it apart from your typical brunch fare. There are tons of thoughtful gluten-free options that actually taste amazing--not just the bare minimum. From inventive egg dishes to seasonal veggie sides, every bite felt intentional and flavorful. The service was equally impressive--friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating. Our server made great suggestions and made sure everything was just right, including pointing out which dishes could be made gluten-free. Bottom line: If you're looking for a fun, flavorful, and welcoming place for brunch or lunch, this one is worth every visit. I'll definitely be coming back!

To be fair when we walked in there were multiple big tables just sat in front of us. Took my Midwest husband here while we were in town for fights. And he got to eat REAL grits for the first time. He ordered Chicken and Waffles, and I just ordered side of grits with Cajun gravy and soft scrambled eggs. Eggs were not soft scrambled, but somehow that is always a big ask. That did not even matter though!!! Jazz was our server and she was amazing, the food was so damn good!!! The best chicken and waffles my husband has ever had, and grits that would put my Granny's to shame. Wish I would have taken pics first... But we devoured the plates! I normally eat like three bites from each thing we order, I was fighting my husband for the food until there was nothing left on any plate. If you are in Bossier/Shreveport area come here!!!!!! We were able to check in and sit in our car but It was about an hour wait for a party of two we ended up getting a sampler of breakfast options, which turned out to be really good. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the cornbread waffle. It just came across really dry, not really loaded with flavor and the worst thing about the entire experience for me was plastic cutlery. The food is too rich or dense for Thin cheap cutlery either

The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

It seems like that they have a lot more dining space too. I don't know if we really ever been charged extra for any condiments, I know that when we asked for extra butter or something like that we have received plenty of it. When I had a food choice dilemma, the server usually would give me both if it was a small order of something at no extra cost. They always go the extra mile to satisfy us. Today we even paid for an elderly couple's bill, and slid out the door without them knowing about their bill being take care of by us. Hopefully it made their day. We can't afford to do that often, but if we see a Veteran or an elderly couple, just our way of thanking them without them knowing who did it.
