UP for Brunch is hands down one of the best brunch spots in Shreveport! The fried fish and grits were absolutely phenomenal--perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and cooked to perfection. The grits were creamy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the fish. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was excellent, THEY STAY BUSY and every bite was worth it. If you're looking for a delicious brunch experience, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!
I tried out a new brunch spot recently, and it completely exceeded expectations. The restaurant is small, quaint, and very clean. The server was outstanding, exceptionally friendly, and took the time to walk me through all of the menu items, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. I ordered the platter. The standout items for me were definitely the potatoes and grits. Both were cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
When I say the décor is on point, I mean it! I loved the entire setup, it gives a stylish, welcoming vibe that works for family, friends, or even a little date night. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and just the right touch of cozy. Our waitress was so sweet and patient, which made the experience even better. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, but I decided to go with the fish and grits. The fish was definitely good, cooked well, and seasoned nicely. The grits, on the other hand, threw me off a bit. They were missing some salt, but once I added a little, they came together and worked for me. That could very well have been a one-off, so I'd definitely give them another shot. All in all, a solid brunch spot that I'd recommend and return to. Next time, I might just try something else off the menu because it all looked so tempting!
My only complaint is that the service was super slow, but honestly I don't mind because the food is outstanding and the whole place is a fun vibe to share with friends. There's rarely an empty table for any length of time which shows they're clearly doing something right. I've enjoyed all the dishes I've tried. The day we went there was a DJ which added to the fun. Overall I really love this restaurant and hope they stick around for years to come.
We love this dog-friendly brunch place. The staff are friendly and service is fast. We say in the patio because we have a big dog. There was enough space for him to lie too.
We were those customers who tried to come in 7 mins before opening (sorry lol) and Maddie opened the doors with the brightest smile & warmest welcome! They were fast & efficient. It was a little chilly inside so wear a jacket but who'd rather be hot than cold while eating, amiright? We got a bunch of different food, the eggs were my favorite, second to the french toast, crazy, I know. Eggs were cooked perfectly and french toast was so fluffy and tasty. We also got the coffee flight: french vanilla, butter pecan, white chocolate and brown sugar cinnamon and OMG the brown sugar cinnamon was SO SO SO yummy! 10/10 recommend - the experience all around was great. Will def be back when driving thru Shreveport!
I enjoyed our meal @ up for brunch, upon our arrival we waited maybe 15-20 mins for a table. The host had advised the kitchen would be closing soon and offered if we wanted to sit outside, while sitting outside it started storming so she offered to move us inside as a table had opened. The food was really good and the mimosa flight! Loved the ambiance great music playing and attentive staff! I would definitely try them again!
The food was good. French Toast and potatoes were wonderful. I wasn't crazy about the omelette, but everything else was really good. It's a cute, petite space. I enjoyed it. Service was decent too.
My wife and I came to town for a weeding. After looking for a place to eat breakfast We decided to give it a try. It has a nice vibe with all the bright colors and lots of windows. The food was delicious and service was great.
If you're looking for a relaxing brunch experience, this is a good place to go! It takes inspiration from other modern breakfast joints out in the upscale sides of the west or east coast. It's clean, sleek, very friendly looking on the inside. Service was very friendly. The food was pretty good, though I was very disappointed, but there were no eggs benedict. The catfish and grits were pretty good. The grits were a little bland, but overall tasty. The catfish always taste tastes good, though I wish there was more flavoring in the batter. I would come back to this place for breakfast again. Also, parking is a little confusing. There is the parking right in front of the restaurant, but it's usually full. On the other side of the road is more parking.
Loveddd this place for brunch! They don't take reservations so you scan a QR code and wait in your car for them to text you. We were able to speed up our wait time by agreeing to sit outside. We started with mimosa flights which looked like they'd be small when I looked at pictures online but they are actually huge! Definitely can be split by two people! All the food was soooo good! We had a little bit of everything and not one thing was a miss. The catfish and the chicken were seasoned perfectly. If I lived in Shreveport I would definitely be a regular here. The only thing I wish they had was some light music playing.
Wow! Where do I begin!? we drove up from Mississippi for a day in Shreveport for my birthday. We started off here. It was incredible. I'll think I'll dream about it every night until I go back again one day the food and the people were wonderful. We even got a sample flight of the hot coffee's not spiked and everyone enjoyed those as well. The atmosphere was perfect for a brunch. I love the bright colors and the photo wall where I made sure to get a family photo of me a husband and the three kids before we left. I'm trying to think of how we can get one here in Gluckstadt, Mississippi.
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Outside patio that overlooks the interstate. The location is in a historical growing part of town. I definitely suggest this place for a great affordable tasty breakfast in Shreveport. I will be back I would go so far as to call it a new regular. Mania was my waitress and she was very attentive helpful and courteous. My only one suggestion is that they start serving start serving a small variety of hot teas such as Earl Grey, Chia and Matcha.

Vibes 10/10 food 7/10, ambience 8/10. There's definitely a draw to this place. It's in the cut off of the main streets. We were able to check in and sit in our car but It was about an hour wait for a party of two we ended up getting a sampler of breakfast options, which turned out to be really good. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the cornbread waffle. It just came across really dry, not really loaded with flavor and the worst thing about the entire experience for me was plastic cutlery. The food is too rich or dense for Thin cheap cutlery either read more
Stopped in for breakfast while in town and the food was good, the restaurant was tiny but clean, and the service was fast. Nothing was particularly great nor bad. Overall, a good meal for a decent price. I was a bit thrown off by the plastic utensils while eating in a restaurant. read more

Monday 7/7/25 10am had a 40 minute wait. Restaurant is not very big/ no place to wait so would suggest sitting in car. Very understaffed as they only had one server for every table. Young gal was doing her best but had to apologize to multiple tables for lack of service. Other young guy working running food was a mess. Hair all over his face and covering eyes... it was a bit gross. I will say they were trying to get orders out quick but definitely took awhile and one guest with us received his plate 10 minutes later than the rest of party. Eggs on one plate were cold when they came out and unbearable to eat. Skillets were both good though. Nice spot for area seems to be doing well just needs a little extra help in terms of running the place! read more

We weren't sure if we could handle waiting 40 min for a table (came on a Sunday around 11am), but I'm SO glad we toughed it out. This place is special and the queue is a testament to that. The trendy atmosphere is fun, but it could be an outdated hole in the wall and there would still be a wait. The food makes me think these are hand-me-down secret recipes and made by a grandmother who is pouring love (and a knowledge of just the right spices) in the kitchen. My husband got their version of a breakfast sampler and I chose not to because cheesy shrimp grits did not sound appetizing. Boy was I wrong, I had to hold myself back from eating all of his. We went for the beignets and it was worth it. I had whatever their breakfast egg rolls are called and they were so crispy and fresh. Potatoes were pretty salty, but they were fried to perfection. We only had coffee and I think some variety of hot coffee would be nice, maybe some whipped cream. But I am guessing many people go for the mimosas and other mixed drinks. We will definitely be back when we come back for a weekend getaway and hope we get Casey, our sunny waitress. read more

- -1/5 - Disappointed! Not the Anniversary Brunch We Hoped For. My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time in Shreveport, LA for our anniversary brunch and sadly, it didn't match the vibe or the quality we were looking for. We waited 40 minutes for a table, and once seated, the space was so cramped we had to walk sideways to avoid bumping into other guests--or their food. One table even had a hot cast iron skillet handle sticking out, which was a safety hazard. If I hadn't noticed it, someone could've easily been burned. We were looking forward to enjoying their outdoor seating like in the photos, but it was closed. Inside, the ambiance was lacking: big fans were blowing so loudly that we couldn't hear the music, which really took away from the brunch vibe. Service was a redeeming quality--our waitress greeted us promptly and was polite throughout. However, we waited 30 minutes for our food, and I was disappointed that eggs didn't even come with the meals. We had to order them separately. My husband's chicken was so salty he immediately needed water. I tried a bite and felt the same--over-seasoned with what we could taste was white salt. It was so salty to the point where I couldn't risk eating more. When I asked the waitress about it, she explained that the chicken is seasoned in-house. To her credit, she offered a replacement, and I got turkey sausage instead. In summary: great staff, but poor food execution, tight seating, and a disappointing atmosphere. They've got potential, but we hope they refine their recipes and enhance the overall experience--especially for guests celebrating special occasions. read more

May 1, 2023. 10 am. Party of 3. I chose for us to sit outside and freeze our butts off. The sun rises on the other side of the building. It was windy and our napkins and utensils were blown all over the patio. I 20 is 50 yards away. Extremely noisy. Definitely do not recommend the patio in the spring. Our server offered the man at the table a coffee refill. But I had to ask for mine. I ordered the skillet. As did my friend. She called it too spicy. I call it to salty. But it was good and reasonably priced. June 30, 2023 8:15 am Party of one. The patio was closed. I don't have any pictures of my receipt (either visit) so I don't know who my server was either time.... This second visit was great. My breakfast taco plate was delicious. And really way too much. I wish mom was with me. I could see us and my Aunt hitting this place up on the regular. Second visit: read more

First time stopping in on our way back home. The vibe reminds me of brunch spots at home, the waist estimated was 30-40 mins, however, our table was ready almost instantly...surprising for a Sunday morning/afternoon. We had an appetizer of beignets...they were great-flakey and not overly sweet. I had the chicken and waffles and tried a brunch roll...the waffle was very subpar-no flavor. The brunch roll and chicken 10/10. The chicken reminded me of my grandmas chicken...so flavorful and good! Service was decent...it took a bit for our waitress to come initially. She saw I didn't eat the waffle, she asked about it, then said it wasn't her favorite either. If she would have taken the time upfront and had conversation, she could have given us suggestions. Overall, we would recommend and will be coming back on our next trip in town. read more

Amazing brunch place. Fast attentive service. Cassie was great this morning. Delicious brunch options. The dishes are interesting and plated well. Wide variety of options. The brunch boards are amazing to share. The breakfast sliders are perfect. Tasty cornmeal waffles. Eclectic comfortable dining room. Outdoor seating is available. We try to stop in whenever we are in Shreveport. Easy free parking. Sundays and Holidays there may be a wait. But the food and service is worth it. read more

We attempted to eat here once before but the wait for my family of 4 was 30-45 min., tried again today and we were seated right away. Seating is a little to close to other people. Not my preference, but lucky for me the guests on each side of us where finishing up and about to leave. Food was good. Coffee not so great, it was not strong at all. Ordered a side of waffles, I wished they put the syrup on the side instead of drenching it. Everything else we ordered was fine. Our waiter was friendly and we look forward to returning here again in the future. read more
