It's a healthier breakfast with reasonable prices. The place is usually crowded. The yogurt fruit bowl and oatmeal that I ate on 2 separate occasions were fresh and filling. They also both came with a muffin. Coffee and water were both really good. Service is cool but they seem to get a little tense about servicing single diners and have a tendency to rush people out that come in by themselves. On what would have been my third time visiting, I walked in by myself and the hostess was telling everybody else that it would be a thirty minute wait. Instead of telling me individually that it would be a thirty minute wait or even greeting me with a "hello how many?" She just kinda weirdly looked through and around me until I walked up to her, locked her gaze and asked "so it'll be a thirty minute wait huh?" She said yes and then I left.

Brunch here was great! We went on a Friday around noon, wasn't too busy and was seated immediately! Our service was excellent, waiter really attentive. We had a booth by the window with a really nice view of outdoors. I had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes! These things were massive and probably could have had one! They had a really savory taste! I also ordered soft scrambled eggs and they were cooked perfectly. Orange juice was very tasty! My husband had the turkey burger. He had already started eating before I could get a pic. Hence he loved it lol! I would recommend this spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch!

seasonal french toast and pineapple juice drink were GREAT! not sure if the eggs benedict here is supposed to be cooked firm like this or if this is abnormal at this location, but i wasn't a fan. potatoes tasted kinda weird too. service was good. i still ate mostly everything else around the eggs and said i didn't need the whole plate removed from my bill, but it got taken care of anyway. i'll be back for that juice !

This widespread brunch chain graces the hipster part of Shreveport (it's across from Whole Foods) with a slightly healthier menu than what you'd find elsewhere. I put myself on the online wait list, and while this was unneeded, if we'd gotten there a little later it might have been worthwhile as the place did fill. I was a bit disappointed that the menu made it hard to get a salad without meat in it or an avocado toast without eggs, but I found something I wanted; a chia pudding with a side of almond butter toast. Both items delivered on flavor, with a sweet chia pudding having plenty of fruit and the toast adding a contrary flavor note. My tea made for a good start to the day. Realistically, I'd probably give it a star less if it were in an area with more competition, but I was glad to have found something worth eating in Shreveport.

I walked into this spot on a whim looking for a brunch place at 1230 that wasn't closed to closing. We were greeted immediately and told there was a 30min wait which was fine for us. Once we sat down after already scrolling the menu I went for the breakfast tacos and seasoned potatoes. I took a chance on the Kale tonic since I'm not really into green drinks and was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious and refreshing. My sister had the purple haze which tasted like it smelled, lavender. Not something I would try again. We ordered a side of monster bacon but there seemed to be an issue with it and it never came out. My daughter ended up getting her hot cocoa free for the inconvenience. Overall the food was great, service was ok. It honestly seemed like all the servers had attitude but it was the end of the day for the restaurant so we just chalked it up to a long day for them.

Us waiting on breakfast before a funeral. Very nice location. And we loved the outside seating.

My family was visiting from Georgia. The most important person's order at the table was wrong. She ordered NO CHEESE on her ferttata because she is lactose intolerant. The waiter, Drew, was very attentive, and he wrote NO CHEESE for the order. Apparently, someone in the kitchen can't read, and was very slow (adding insult to injury, as we waited over 30 minutes for all of our food to arrive. I ordered the advacado crab toast, and it was perfect. Not sure what my other guest had but they enjoyed the maple bacon and pancakes and some other type of eggs. The weather was great for outdoor seating and tables seemed to be further apart, which was great.

We stopped in right when they opened and the experience was great from the start. The owners are Venezuelan, and the hospitality really stood out. They were incredibly welcoming and even told us not to worry about paying until after we finished eating, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and personal. The food was incredible. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, and we both ordered full meals along with Cuban coffee. The coffee alone was worth it -- strong, rich, and exactly what you want after a good meal. The atmosphere honestly reminded me of being back in South Florida -- authentic Latin flavors, friendly owners, and a laid-back vibe that makes you want to come back again. Highlights * Authentic Latin/Venezuelan flavors * Extremely welcoming owners * Delicious Cuban coffee * Great change of pace from the typical local options If you're tired of the same restaurant rotation and want something authentic and flavorful, Miami Latin Kitchen is a great spot to try.

Guac was bland, queso was very loose and in my opinion not enough for the price, the rice looked as if it had cilantro in it but I couldn't taste it, corn salsa was mainly corn not much tomato or anything. Im kind of disappointed because it tastes like chipotle but add pineapples. I will return to try something else but this trip wasn't rememberable. The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Needless to say we have now been sitting in this restaurant for over an hour with a cup of coffee and no food. If you want a quick breakfast spot, this is not the place. I would not recommend coming here with children because I cannot imagine them waiting patiently for an hour for breakfast. I have yet to receive our food even after writing this long review. The thought of a large fluffy homemade biscuit with gravy or homemade jelly sounded so yummy. I was driving so didn't have time to review the menu, reviews or photos on Yelp that I usually do. It's really hard to disappoint at a southern breakfast spot. It is a very small very, quaint place which seemed perfect for just us. Like maybe 4 tables total small. Again, still perfect for just us two. Like having biscuits in your grandma's kitchen, literally. They have a ton of Louisiana items and foods for sale. Again, something I love!! They even had beeswax candles made locally. However, very few things, like one of the 4 items I looked at had a price. I should not have to go ask the price of each item. The menu was lacking and difficult to understand. After starring at it and not really seeing a perfect fit, just went to the counter and told her I wanted the biscuits and gravy, hash brown and bacon. There weren't meals on the menu. I love biscuits, I thought, as much as anyone else from Louisiana but that isn't breakfast. I need some eggs and meat for sure, grits and hash browns are expected on a southern breakfast menu. They have no eggs and no grits, just biscuits, hash brown, sausage and bacon. The biscuits were super tall, super dense and hard crust all the way around. So tall that the sausage biscuit is one that you can't get your mouth around and hard. My mom disassembled it to eat it and had to cut it with a knife. I had in my mind thick, fluffy, piping hot biscuits right out of the oven. These were dense, hard and reheated biscuits. I'm positive because some parts were hot hot and others cool to the touch. The hash brown looked like the one from McDonald's but maybe cooked in the oven instead and reheated. Definitely not worth the cost or calories. The bacon was delicious and crispy. The sausage gravy had an unusual taste. I couldn't tell if it was a different seasoning than I am use to or just cheap sausage that had an unusual flavor. I wish I would have taken more photos. I won't be back and highly recommend First Watch, Another Broken Egg or Strawns instead.
