There is a food truck that sells Vegan Mexican food. I had never eaten at a solely vegan place and it exceeded and set high expectations for future establishments. Great idea with lots of potential! It's super family friendly and it's very cool that they have a co-working space. I haven't had the chance to use the coworking space, but I have gone to a handful of their events and have had playdates with other mamas. There are two things that I would love for them to improve. I'm a little disappointed that they don't offer a water station. The times I have visited I have run out of water for me and my daughter and instead of being able to grab a free cup or two of water, I've had to purchase bottles of water. I've also found the event communications to be confusing and contradictory at times. I saw today's event advertised with 3 different times on different social media outlets. I hope they are able to work on these problems, I truly do enjoy my time when I am there. read more

Looking at the reviews, I really thought I hit a goldmine here in Austin. The service was great, they were all sweethearts. The coffee on the other hand... it is not that good. I ordered their signature honey vanilla latte. Since it was their biggest hit, I thought I'd try the safe route. I was disappointed, it's bitter and not flavorful. I thought it was just a bad cup so I went to order their iced caramel macchiato... the same bitter flavor unfortunately. Their burrito and breakfast taco is something I would recommend. You can never go wrong with that. The pastries are delish too. The environment is such a vibe. It's huge and so many cute spots to chill in. All in all, if you're looking for a cute study spot, this is the place. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee, turn around. read more

This place is super cute and hip, inside and out! I went around 6pm on a weeknight and most everyone indoors were either studying/working quietly on laptops. They also have a spacious outdoor patio with plenty of chairs and tables. After sitting outside for a bit, we moved inside to a cute table they used to be an old arcade game! Super retro. The only thing I wish they had (or didn't see!) would be heat lamps for the outdoor seating because it got chilly! Other than that, it was the perfect place for a quiet drink and chat. read more

Just discovered this little coffee shop. My spouse and I went on a Saturday or Sunday and they had a little artisan market in the back. Their garden was beautiful and added a nice touch when we drank our coffee and ate our food. The coffee shop has breakfast tacos but we decided to eat at the vegan food truck. My organization recently sponsored a training session and I ended up in charge of food. I ordered breakfast tacos from the Hive and several people commented that it was one of the best tacos they had ever eaten. The chicken sausage was yummy and the tortillas were home made. Ordering and pick up were both easy and Michael was great to work with. I will use them again and highly recommend them for anyone else. read more

Went for the first time today. I had high hopes for it but left a little disappointed. 1. Tried the childcare for my 4 year old. He's use to preschool but not places like this. Within an hour of him being in their playroom, they texted me to say my son was bored and he wanted to go outside and play. So I had to get him early (even though I paid for 2 hours). Just would have been nice if they had tried to entertain him a bit more, and maybe they did... the sign clearly states they are not a daycare, so I guess that's on me! 2. I mistakenly thought it would be pretty quiet inside so I could have a quick conference call. There were some older kids running around and one got hurt, so it was pretty loud. Again, maybe my fault for expecting quiet time when kids are obviously very welcome (which I like). I should have planned better for work calls. 3. The outside area worked better for myself and my son- it was quiet, shaded enough, and he had much more fun running around out there! read more

Not the place to go for a holiday brunch. For Mother's Day, it was rainy outside. We had made a "reservation", but that didn't guarantee a seat as it is open seating. Due to the rain, we had to wait with everyone else for a table to open up, but since it's open seating, it's whoever gets to the table first wins. Also, there simply wasn't enough food. It was touted as a buffet and they were making food as quickly as they could, but it was generally a 15+ minute wait in line to be able to made a plate. It may be a great place to go when it's not a holiday weekend, but I won't be back to find out. read more

There really should be more places like The Hive! Stay at home mamas or work from home mamas would thrive here! It's also a great place for parents to have a nice night out with both alcoholic/non alcoholic drink options & food and a safe gated place for your kiddos to run around. The childcare area is nicely kept and have both an indoor and outdoor play area. It was $10 an hour for childcare, with 2 care takers and I believe they max out at 10-12 kids. There is a 2 way mirror so you can check on your kiddos as needed. They will call you if your baby needs a diaper change or is unhappy being there. This was my very time ever leaving my baby anywhere and I felt very comfortable here. I was able to enjoy a nice quick lunch with a friend while he played with other babies, it was a nice balance! Coffee & breakfast sandwich were both delicious and reasonably priced. Lots of toys and playscapes to play with on premise. And lots of tables and chairs around too! Can't wait to return! read more

Fun place off of Manchaca to grab coffee, grab an adult beverage, a sandwich, a snack, and let your kids run around and burn off some energy in the back patio/playground area. I've been frequenting the hive since they were a tiny trailer behind Manchaca and it's been awesome to see them continue to grow and expand throughout the years. Ample seating, decent amount of parking, and lots of syrups if you'd like extra flavor in your coffee! They offer alternative milks and lots of pastries. I wish they had more plant-based/vegan/allergy friendly options but hopefully that will come with time. read more

This is a sanctuary for parents! This is a co-working space with food and drinks for purchase. There is also childcare during the day, which you can book online in advance. But there is also free play M & T from 3-5 and W-Sat from 3-8! I can here with three other mamas with kiddos ranging in age from 6 months to 18 months and we ALL had a great time. There are food trucks and live music and special holiday events. They do everything to make your time enjoyable. I literally think I will be here like 3 or 4 days a week.
