The loud f bombs from the four guys in the bar resonating throughout the entire restaurant didn't help. Today was our first time trying the Heights. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly. My husband had the half rack of ribs and it was a large and delicious portion. Our server Mandy was professional and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place. The "greet" staff was absurdly rude. We arrived 15 minutes before our 6pm reservation on a Saturday night and we were told we would need to wait closer to our reservation to be seated. When we sat at an empty bar top, we were immediately told that we couldn't sit there. When I asked where he suggested we sit, he waved his hand toward the door. My intention was to order a drink and wait to be seated, but my presence was not acceptable at that table where NO ONE was looking to be sat. I stayed there. We were seated a few minutes later. Already the mood soured. Thank goodness the rest of the restaurant staff was pleasant, accommodating and kind. As I left, I confronted the rude young man and his superior. Both of them doubled down on the way they treated us, including why we were forbidden to sit at an empty bar top and order a drink waiting to be sat. No compunction for the rudeness. They were all on board with this ridiculous and rude treatment. How about hospitality? How about accommodation? It was MINUTES between our arrival and reservation time, but these young kids were intent on exercising their power to prevent us from being comfortable. Shame on you. Lousy food, lousy service this evening. Server forgot our appetizer and then blamed the cook.I had to get up and ask the hostess to ask our server to come to our table because our French Onion soups were stone cold! We came in around 8:00 P.M. they informed us that the kitchen closes at 8:30 and that's fine. The place was almost empty, and I truly believe the employees were just in a hurry to get us out so they could go home. I've been to the Heights several times, and the food is usually good, but tonight, it appears that maybe the dishwasher was doing the cooking tonight because when the soup came back out, it tasted like dirty dish water! What an amazing restaurant! I hosted a baby shower for my daughter in their back room that is private and has doors that can close it off if you wish. I arrived to decorate the room with my own decor and Clayton greeted me with a big smile and helped me with anything I needed. What a pleasure it was to have a beautiful, private room for my guests! Mandy introduced herself and was an excellent waitress who was right on target for everything we needed, but was not intrusive. She was a hard worker! The wine was replaced when needed after my approval which I appreciated. Food was delicious and plentiful, but I knew that due to being a regular customer. Everyone was delighted with their lunch. Mandy brought dessert plates for us to use which was terrific. We were allowed privacy and what a great time it was! All my guests raved about this beautiful restaurant! My spouse and I needed a date night, and the Height's is one of our favorite places. Even though Yelp say 'no reservation' I called and they took ours for 2 people. We had cocktails and fish for dinner. Their 'Fish and Chips' are the best! They let me split my chips with a few onion rings!!! We had no room for desert, but from what we saw being deliver to others there looked great. If your in the area I would recommend giving them a try. Service is great and the food delicious. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and our anniversary and I must say we were very disappointed. We had a party of 7 and not one person was happy with their meal. The filet was mediocre our fish dishes (Mahi and salmon ) were most likely frozen and over cooked. I sent mine back and and the dish was remade but delivered to the table after everyone had finished eating. All the side dishes were very bland and needed seasoning. I'm all about supporting small business but when it comes to bad management and mistreating your own employees, there is no way I'm coming back here. Overheard the owner talking down to one of the hosts working there and the language they used was just unacceptable. I'm sure the staff weren't properly trained and I do sympathize with them for putting up with that immaturity. Do better owners. I used to come to this establishment with my family when I was little and I was really hoping to enjoy this it after a couple years but my hopes were let down. The food was not up to par and the management was sadly lacking professionalism. I think the menu needs an update since the layout and even the items have been the same for years. My waitress was kind all though when I asked to speak to a manager I was told he was too busy with other things in the restaurant. The ambiance was very depressing with a dimly lit area and outdated music. I hope they do better. read more

I swear they have the BEST Ahi salad and Waldorf Salad- I don't even like salad!!! Every ingredient is high quality especially the salad dressing... and that's how you get an amazing salad ya'll! Went with a few friends. Food and drinks were pretty good and had a nice time. The servers and host was very hospitable. However, we overheard the management being very toxic to the employees. Not sure if they were aware of us but it was very inappropriate. A manager should never yell at their employees. Especially in front of the customers. Hopefully they don't steal the servers tip too. read more

This is one of our favorite spots for dinner after a hectic workday. We love the coconut shrimp appetizer and a cold Height's martini. Went the other day for dinner. My wife ordered the patty melt with no onion and cheddar cheese instead of Swiss. We were very specific that she has an allergy to onions. A family friendly restaurant that serves its locals. That is one of the best ways to describe The Heights. Living less than a mile away, I find myself eating at the Heights pretty often and the food never disappoints. This time around I started with the shrimp cocktail, for my main entree I had the filet and a New York cheesecake for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. Also shout of the staff here. This place is our local neighborhood gem! I can honestly say that I have tried about 80% of the food items on the menu and nothing has disappointed! From their steaks to seafood, totally scrumdelecioso! Their happy hour starts after 9:00 pm and their menu selection for appetizers and drinks can't be beat on price for the quality that you receive! Recently went to The Heights for lunch on a weekday. The service was sub par and we had to flag down our waiter (Ray) a few times. I ordered the Southwest salad and asked him to hold the chicken. When he asked for my dressing choice I requested salsa as dressing. He said he would have to charge me EXTRA! Ridiculous! After our food was delivered I had to ask another waiter for my missing cheese.
