It's been so long since I was last here. I stopped by looking for a place to have lunch. Even on a Tuesday it was packed. There was something going on outside for the little ones. An Easter bunny making its first appearance with the little one. Plus the weather was great which brings people out. Location is amazing as there's shopping, and dining inside and surrounding area. There's plenty of parking with the massive lot all over. Inside, I did see some familiar places from the last time as well as some new spots that popped up. I don't know if a lot of them do well. But if they do, it means they're good. You have the food stalls, there's a brewery towards the back and also a Long Beach shop right in the middle. Seating is limited inside but plenty of seating right outside. Some covered and some out in the open. Loads of restaurants to choose from outside which is more full on dining experience. The concept is great. Nice options on places to choose from. A fun little place for a meal and mingling. read more

3.5 Star Overall. Very poor to zero internet connection on your cell phone while inside the building, biggest inconvenience. However, they do provide free WiFi access within. Plenty of parking - some right along the street, or in their large parking lot. Convenient cluster of restaurants to choose from with open seating. Depending on what you feel like eating, they have quite a variety to choose from. Most restaurants give you a pager to notify when your food is ready, so the service is convenient while you can walk around to shop for other food. We ending up getting poke bowl, beef skewers, a burrito, and some other stuff. Interior decor is comfortable and welcoming. Has an open and chilled vibe. Would I come back again? Maybe. No restaurant stood out too much, but they're not bad either. (Actually, the $13 Beef tenderloin skewer was really really good, but then again, those small 6 bites of meat cost more than a whole giant burrito I got.) If you want a place to eat and shop and enjoy the outdoors, The Hanger in Long Beach is the place. Inside of the hanger there are several eateries Ike's sandwiches, sushi, Wagyu, poke, and whole lot more. Service is quick and easy. There's also a place for ice cream. Hansel's ice cream is located on the outside of the hanger across the street in this area. There are also shops such as Old Navy, TJ Maxx, Ulta, and Nordstrom Rack. There's also a smaller size Whole Foods market and next-door is PetSmart. It's practically a one stop shopping. The only downside to this place is because it's near an airport. A side of garlic fries and a 16 oz tap room beer. My son got the Poutine Loaded fries. Wife went to a Mexican spot and had Birria Ramen. Parking is a tough find if you dont come early enough. They share the lot with other establishments around the area. However, if youre willing to walk, they have a bunch of spots across the way in the shopping center. They host mini small business shops just outside, and people are super friendly. Inside, think of it like a food court. Very similar to Anaheim Packing District. There are tables and chairs all throughout the venue. They also have little shops full of merchandise as well. The decorations are pretty cool and the images are just like all the other reviews have. We ended up choosing to eat at the Kroft. We will be back to try other foods! read more

Came here for an anime event and honestly not the best place to have it at. It was during the holiday season so a lot of the vendors were stuck outside in the cold windy area. Would have definitely been better for the summer time. Lots of stares from normies during the entire time which sucked not just for the cosplayers but vendors trying to do their business. Parking was absolutely fisted, not even because of the event but because all of the normies and families getting dinner. It's aviation style so it's like Smokejumper's Grill in DCA, but more modern and not as neat in my opinion. Both my brother and I were hungry but despite doing an entire round, nothing really caught our eye and the crowds just made it unappetizing in general. Skip for me. read more

The Hangar has so many great choices that we ended up going twice ~~once at night when it was super crowded and full of energy, and again in the morning for a relaxing coffee. It's such a cool concept and really accessible, with something for everyone no matter what you're in the mood for. Everything was clean and well organized. Best food hall to go to that's family friendly and delicious. I came here with 13 other people (including children), and we were able to find a bite from a variety of restaurants that satisfied everyone's cravings. There's options like tacos, poke, spicy chicken sandos, açaí bowls, burgers, poutines, Japanese onigiri, and plenty of brews to choose from. There's also an outdoor area where you'll see families hanging out and kids running around. This was perfect for our kids to get their energy out after grabbing a bite. For dessert, there's Handel's ice cream and tastea available. If you feel like shopping, you can walk across the parking lot to shop at Ulta, TJ Maxx, Old Navy and Nordstrom Rack. Or you can grocery at Whole Foods. The whole shebang in one plaza! Super chill and fun place to be. Parking can be tough during peak hours but we never had a problem finding parking. read more

The Hangar in Long Beach is a standout food hall/food court worth a visit, especially if you love variety and communal dining vibes. Housed inside a large, 17,000-square-foot structure evocative of the aviation hangars from the McDonnell Douglas/Boeing era - when military and commercial aircraft were constructed on the site - at least according to the website. To me, this space does a great job balancing history within the food hall. The following 14 artisanal food vendors, eateries, and boutique retailers are currently occupying the space as of January 2026... 1. Blue Bowl - Fresh acai bowls and smoothies 2. Bottlecraft - Craft beer bottle shop and tasting bar 3. Cassidy's Corner Cafe- Coffee, espresso drinks, and cafe fare 4. The Kroft - Comfort food like poutine and hearty sandwiches 5. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during peak hours and the space can get pretty lively (sometimes hectic) depending on the time of day but I suppose that's par for the course in a popular food hall with so many options. Prices are generally fair though I personally think some vendors lean slightly pricey... The service varies by stall but I've never had any major issues. We like grabbing different entrees from different restaurants and eating family style so we can try new foods without breaking the bank! There are also a few places that offer beer and wine. Bathroom: broken locks but clean overall. No paper towels. Temperature: there is AC but in some areas where the cooks are it's quite warm while other areas are comfortable. Sit near the fans. That feels great. Restaurants: there aren't that many restaurants to choose from and very few vegetarian places. There are restaurants on the outside of the hanger too for people who want something else. See picture. Ambiance: relaxed and laid back. The hanger is well insulated to keep the indoors temperatures cool but not cold. There is some music playing but it's not blasting loud. It's new, modern, way bigger and more bustling than I expected. It was chill at 4 pm Sat and then it turned 6 pm and bam! It was so busy (which is a good thing!) It's like a mini mini pikes market. Or like a food hall in Chicago. I guess food hangars and halls are common now. As far as they go, this LBC one impressed. It had an airplane theme all throughout, even with little displays in the middle, and plenty of food options and a pour stall (a must). Not a lot of noodle options but you get a generic representation of food. The wagyu stall is a nice touch. There's also a Chinese bar? That was closed.... but looks interesting from the outside. This place is just lacking a dedicated trendy dessert spot imo. But plenty of seating, good vibes, fun food options including chains like the Kroft, and dogs everywhere! I LOVE a dog friendly place that lets the dogs in to chill. Plenty of free parking, and everyone uses toast for rewards points which makes it easy. We hit up 4 stalls and service was fast. Is the food mind blowing? Naw. But is this a very chill and vibey food hall to hang out in? ABSOLUTELY. Come here on a Saturday for pours and food with friends. Also, the hangar is part of a larger new plaza that has all the typical big Plaza gathering things these days. You've got petsmart and tjmaxx and more restaurants, bars, and dessert stores once you venture into the plaza. The whole place is nice and very walkable. Plenty of food options altogether. Also nice green areas for community strolling/people playing and dogs frolicking. Great vibes. Some girl was singing indie songs on her guitar and sounded great. I am pretty surprised that I never reviewed this. I have eaten at the Kroft. They have a really good smash burger. It is very clean and classy inside. The quad type grass area in front looks really pretty. The only issue is parking. Very poor planning on making enough parking. A few gyms surrounding the hangar take up all the parking. This is a great shopping experience with many mainstream stores as well as small businesses. They do have a great food Hall as well. Many events are offered here on the weekends and I went during the Grinchmas event. There's also many opportunities for Health and wellness. There's a spa, gym, and yoga studio as well. The TJ Max is huge and fun to sit through. Overall, I'm happy to have found this place. I normally shop in OC. If you are looking to take insta-pictures, there's plenty of cool areas to do so, just look for them. read more

This was my first time here and it was so cute inside! There are plenty of food spots inside as well as surrounding the building as well. Parking was fairly easy for how crowded the parking lots were. Plenty of seating available and there a small bar with a few TVs as well. This is a cute spot if you're looking for variety and something quick! There is also outside seating available and as we were leaving today, live music. So darn cute!! We tried the birria tacos and street tacos today with a cucumber agua Fresca which was all SO bomb! I also tried the tuna mayo onigiri, which was different, but super yummy and filling! I Love this place. An awesome outdoor meeting spot to hang out, chill, relax and chitchat with friends and family! You can bring your kids to run around and play on the open grass area as well as walk your dogs. There all kinds of different varieties of food to chose from. They even have breakfast, coffee, deserts. Great customer service and it's a very clean big space. On the weekends there is a lot happening, at times they have a band that plays music and also they even have pop-up events where you can purchase or try samples of foods, buy foods, bags.. You can walk further out to the parking lot and shop at the retail stores, pet shop, banks, more fast foods. I went last Saturday to eat here. We chose it so that each person could get whatever food each person craved. We ate at one of the places at the end of the hangar we had the Wagyu steak bowl with garlic rice it was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and we were lucky to get a table as well. They were having an outdoor market and a Zumba class outdoors. We were also lucky to find parking the entire place was packed with people. I will definitely return! read more

The overall ambiance of the hangar has always been great. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. My friend and I had gone on a Thursday evening and it was actually pretty packed, perhaps because it is summer time. I got the bulgogi burrito from Marinated KBBQ which tasted delicious. Beware the orange sauce that comes with is spicy though! My friend got the lomo saltado from Doner G, which we both found to just be okay taste wise and for the price and quantity was a bit underwhelming. read more

The Hanger at LBX has a unique history. It is a 17,000 square foot structure, built to remind of an aviation hangar where planes were built, on this very location. As expected, it is close to the Long Beach Airport (which also has a rich aviation history, celebrating its 100th birthday last year, making it the oldest airport in California), with a varied collection of different businesses around the area. This attracts a large lunchtime crowd, and makes finding parking in all the surrounding surface lots, a challenge. We came for lunch on a Wednesday, and it was a very mixed lunch crowd with some tourists and families, but the vast majority being technology office workers taking a lunch break from nearby businesses (saw quite a few SpaceX polos walking around). There are 14 shops here, all of them being local restaurants or chains. We ended up stopping in for two of them. As expected for a food hall in this age, there was a prominent beer shop front and center. It's called bottlecraft, and has a large bar along with a decent amount of taps. They are unusual in their offered sizes (4 oz, 8 oz, 16 oz.)....but they also had taps that I had not seen before (like Pliny the Elder). I naturally went for the middle size, but then realized it's smaller than expected. So got a 16 oz of the Two Coast Hefeweizen from Two Coast Brewing in Gardena (16 oz for $8). It was very good, refreshing. I realized you could create your own beer table (six 4 oz for $18 which is a good price for the quality of beer being served). The kroft is my favorite tho--the French dip, or one of their smash burgers are the best!! Drink: Bottlecraft has a deep and ever rotating selection of beers and ciders/meads. I arranged my girlfriend's birthday get together here. So safe to say that its amazing for groups. The food hall is amazing and there is so many options to choose from. To drink, there's a great bar right when you walk in. There is also a somewhat of speakeasy themed bar in the corner. I didn't exactly get the name but we crowded this bar and spent the rest of the evening there. The only thing about the hangar is that it closes relatively early, so make sure you have a backup plan for when they start closing. Free parking. It's a trendy, modern area to sit and sip coffee as well if you don't want to eat. The last time we were there, they closed some of the patio areas. So we decided to just walk around. I was always curious about this place. One of my friend had moved to LB and she suggested me to hang out at this place so I was really excited! First of all, since I went on Saturday, finding a parking spot was super hard. Even though I went at 11am when they open, the seats were kind of limited already. There were not much of food that I was interested but I got myself a kebab wrap and it was actually pretty good, but would I ever get it again or crave for that particular wrap? I don't think so. I wish they had more dessert spot besides açaí bowl place. Overall tho, it's a cool spot I would say. If I ever go nearby then I might go there again but just to go there, maybe not since I don't live nearby. read more

I have been here several times and I really like the atmosphere. They have lots of good food and very decently priced as well. This time we had some Mexican food and had a fish taco and esquites paired with some mimosas and a blueberry/pineapple cider. We were sitting at the bar just when you walk in and the gentlemen provided excellent service. We will definitely come back as I want to try more of their vendors food.
