Solid weekday lunch spot in downtown. This location is pretty busy, lunch hour line could be around 10-20mins. On the bright side, with the volume, ingredients are typically fresher than other Halal Guys locations. My go to is the Combo plate with beef gyro and chicken, don't forget the white sauce and hot sauce! (Note: the hot sauce is pretty spicy, if you like spicy food 1-2lines of hot sauce should be enough).

Got the beef and chicken plate which was tasty and filling. Felt it could've had a bit more rice but overall, it was good, especially with the white sauce. Good place for when you're in a rush and need a balanced meal.

Street view, Fannin and Capitol.

A nice addition to Downtown Dining options that are affordable. I had originally headed out to the East End for dinner, but the place I was going to was inexplicably closed. As I got off the train, back in DT, I saw this place on Fannin , at Capitol, and decided to check it out. Yes, despite its official address, it is on the Fannin side of the building that takes up the space, off Capitol, from Main to Fannin. On a Saturday you will not find lines, and will have plenty of seating choices, inside and out on the sidewalk, to choose from. I had the Chicken Gyro Sandwich, Fries, and a bowl of Baba Ghanoush, a mashed cooked eggplant dip. All were excellent, and worth the price. The inside had plenty of seating and was well laid out, and the employees friendly, and efficient. For a person who relies on Metro to get around all 3 train routes bring you here, and numerous bus routes get you within easy walking distance.

This is all I have left of the food I couldn't take a picture of it was that good

Definitely a great addition to downtown! It's like Chipotle for Gyros! Quick, friendly, and great lunch spot! The hours are currently limited due to downtown being quiet, but still accommodating for downtown lunch. I think the hours are 10:30-3:30 PM at the moment. I tried the combo gyro with the spicy red sauce. The meats are flavored perfectly and the red sauce has a great spicy flavor. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Falafel was freshly prepared and it was still dry and brittle. Tasted like card board. The only savior was the white sauce, but damn.

I had heard great things about the cafe at this new location, and had even tried their former location on Hillcroft a couple years ago as part of TooGoodToGo. While the concept is casual, the restaurant itself is very polished and feels like an upscale cafe. There is plenty of seating indoors as well as a huge patio outdoors. We opted to sit on the patio on a (rare) nice Houston day. The tables were spacious and the patio seating was very comfortable. We ordered the Kofta Kabob and Chicken Kabob specialty platters. These platters come with your choice of two sides - we went for the Fried Cauliflower, Tabouli Salad, Hummus, and Muhammara. The meats were so good and hit the spot. The Kofta Kabob had a complexity of flavor to it; so many spices that blended together really well. I will say that the post-meal burps of these spices were...smellier than usual. The Chicken Kabob was also flavorful and had a nice smokiness to it from the grill. I liked the slight crunch provided by the char along the edges. If I knew how to make chicken like this, it would be my daily meal prep! The Fried Cauliflower had a nice sear to it with lots of flavor. The Tabouli Salad and Hummus were comparable to those I've had at other Mediterranean places. The Muhammara was my favorite of the sides! It is a dip like hummus but also incorporates tomatoes, red bell peppers, and onions, among other spices; there was so much flavor to it and I could snack on this all day. The included pita bread was large, fluffy, and piping hot - perfect for dipping between the two side dips we got. Service was quick and friendly. The employee taking our order behind the counter was friendly and gave us the recommendation for the Muhammara - great rec. When our food was brought out and we had questions on some of the ingredients, the staff was very knowledgeable and knew right away what everything was.

The food is flavorful and seems more authentic as it's family owned and staff is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We went on Saturday, got two Combo Dinners as you choose two mains and two sides. My husband got chicken and beef kafta with sides of hummus and fried cauliflower and I had beef kabob and beef kafta with sides of baba ganoush and greek salad. Upon delivery to our table (you order at counter) I was pleased to see the generous portion sizes then as we dug in, the flavors were yum! Even though there with many people there, there was plenty of seating and a nice sized patio we should have sat and enjoyed the cool breeze as it's on the East side of the restaurant. I don't think beer/wine or available so it's probably BYOB, didn't ask. The sweets looked really good. Abddallah's will certainly be one of our regular dining spots from now on. We should have tried it sooner!

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.
