I saw this salon when I googled "cutting curly hair," and made an appointment with Michelle. It was the ray of hope I needed. Michelle listened and clearly understood my predicament. She was empathic and asked me questions, and then explained the step-by-step process she'd take to make me feel like I looked normal again. What I received was not only a fantastic cut but a clear and complete tutorial on how to get my hair looking it's best. She showed me each product, the amount used, the goal of each step, and how to get the look on my own. Totally doable. I felt like a celebrity!! I cried. I love the color I got done at the Finishing Touch and it's the only salon I will go to from now on, not to mention their great prices! I'm in love with this place and will be returning as much as possible. The room that the waxing took place in was dumpy looking, there were water marks all over the ceiling and the entire area seemed unsanitary. The aesthetician did NOT know what she was doing whatsoever and the waxing was extremely painful. She was ready to tell me that I was finished after 40 minutes of pain when I realized that the waxing was not complete. She admitted to me at the end that she was "sucky", left me with wax everywhere and did not offer anything to soothe the pain. They still charged me half ( like they were doing me a favor). The manager called me to offer for me to come back at a different time for another one. (Who in there right mind would ever ever return after being put through this). It took the management 2 weeks to refund my $ and I was in touch every day until they did. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone for anything. Do not go through the misery I had to.
