My 10 year old was scheduled to have her hair cut with the owner who fell behind and passed her off to another hair dresser. She asked for a trim and came home with a completely jagged and uneven cut. When I returned for the owner to fix her haircut, upon sharing my concerns, she accused my daughter of not keeping still during the cut and told me I embarrassed my daughter by bringing her back in. I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this salon to others. The owner took no ownership and was disrespectful in response to my concerns. read more

I could not have been happier with my service at A salon. First of all I had a super tight schedule this week before returning to school and they were so accommodating they squeezed me in right away. Entering the salon the vibes are amazing and everyone is super sweet. They offer you beverages, magazines, basically anything to make the experience great for you. I had Maria and omg did she absolutely come through!! I was only there for a haircut but she did not rush at all and made sure I got an awesome result. Update- I was just contacted by the Ct Labor Dept. regarding my complaint against the owner, Annie Strouth, for not paying me the wages I earned for the day I worked there. I was informed that after their investigation into this matter that I will be receiving a check. Shameful on her part that I had to go to the Labor Dept. in order to be treated fairly. Hopefully, Ms. Strouth has learned her lesson that what she attempted to do to me is illegal. Be smart and take your business elsewhere. I'm a travel nurse so it's hard to find good stylist in cities you never been to or know nothing about. I had a bad incident with my hair and my nurse manager suggested her stylist Annie. I was able to get an appointment the next day and Annie made a horrible experience into a great one. She was able to color correct my hair with out damaging my hair. Then tried another stylist (due to having more appointment availability that works with my weird schedule) named Samantha. Samantha is amazing and my hair is a beautiful ice blond...that lasts! I hate to write a bad review. I want to share my thoughts about this place. I went here after reading good reviews on Google. the stylist was a young little experience. I went for wash, haircut and curled.I didn't like my hair when I got home. My hair was uneven chop job! I even tipped her. i can't believe myself! It was horrible experience!!!!! My hair is ruined and I will never go back here. This haircut is one of the worst haircuts in my life. i am not the person that will call the salon and complain. i will just have to drive far to my trusted stylist! read more

Mary also did my hair. We only looked at two pictures and had a brief discussion, and she understood what I was looking for. She worked quickly (as in an effective way). And I LOVED my hair! This is not something to be taken lightly as I literally had about a foot of my hair chopped off. It looked wonderful and I felt like a goddess. Hi Andrea--While I appreciate the offer, it's curious that you only did so after a poor review. Had you offered even something small/inexpensive to try another stylist-- complimentary deep conditioning or something simple--I probably would have given it a shot. It shouldn't really have mattered which stylist left or why. You had an opportunity to keep a customer, and chose not to do so because whoever it was who called me seems to have made the assumption that Alisa's clients weren't worth attempting to keep. I was persuadable. My suggestion for the next time a stylist moves on would be to go out of your way to persuade a customer to stay with your salon, rather than make assumptions. Came here wanting some new hair color for Fall. My stylist was Haley. I didn't know what I wanted so I let her choose what she thought was best for me. Haley was spunky, friendly, and made me feel like a rockstar. I like this salon because its smaller and not super loud. All the girls were very friendly and I felt beautiful after I left. Went this past Friday to get my haircut.. had been looking forward to it all week. I went and the hairdresser said she could do what I was looking for. But sadly she did not remotely do what I asked. Cut it way to short and asked me AFTER she cut it if the length was ok. So I wrote the owner an email with pictures stating what had happened and how I would like my money back. She never got back to me. I had to call the salon on Monday in the mid afternoon to get a response. I explained the situation again and stated I would like my money back. The owner told me "my hair looked good that length" and that the style I wanted was not possible to begin with. She offered me a gift card!? I stated that I did NOT plan on coming back so I just wanted my money back.. she then offered to try and "fix" it. I left highly ticked off, to which she FOLLOWED me outside and tried to convince me again to take a store credit! I wrote an email stating I wanted my money back and not a store credit. The owner actually wrote me back and said that "she did not appreciate my actions at her salon" I tried to be very calm and polite until she followed me outside. Not very professional. I do not recommend this salon ... the owner is very unprofessional!!! If you don't do refunds then that should be posted somewhere. read more

I have been going to A salon for three years. I love that they are always on trend with the most current styles. Annie is an artist with color! My hair is her canvas every 9 weeks. She manages to keep My cut and color fresh, while maintaining To keep me in my comfort zone. Which is a feat for anyone, I am very difficult like most women when it comes to our hair. A salon has taken care of 2 bridal parties that I have been a part of in the past 2 years. One of which I was the maid of honor. The salon was flexible, easy to work with, & affordable. I went in a few times with my sister and all you did was hear all of them gossiping about their clients and one another. Most of the stylists are amazing at their job. I went in on a Saturday for a haircut. Jaclyn was my stylist, and she was very sweet and trimmed my hair, nothing fancy. I had it flat ironed as well after the haircut. I was displeased with the way she trimmed my bangs, I wanted a side bang and explained that to her at the beginning, and all she did was trim my bangs. I also had to have her even out the back of my hair, there were clearly discrepancies in length when viewed after flat ironing. I was not, am still not, pleased with my haircut. What made me write this review, however, is the fact that when I went up front to pay, I was charged $36 for a shampoo, cut, and style. The company website clearly states that this service is $31. I questioned the receptionist, who didn't know why I was charged $5 extra. I ended up speaking to Ann, who told me she had done the pricing herself. She explained, very rudely, that I should have checked Facebook for a pricelist, that she had not updated the website yet, and that they charge you by how long you are there, not for services provided. Ann was very obviously upset that I was questioning the extra charge on my bill, and lacked any sort of customer service skills to handle the situation. I was confused and embarrassed, I felt very humiliated by Ann's attitude towards me, and I told her that due to the confusion I would not be returning to the salon. She said "That's fine, good luck to you," and waved me out the door. read more
