Came here with a long-time friend for a fine dining experience, and they certainly did not…read moredisappoint! Even without a reservation, the hostess seated us within five minutes, which was a fantastic start. To help us beat the Florida heat, they thoughtfully brought us iced water right away without us even asking. We started with the cocktails: I ordered the 'Firefly' and my friend got the 'I'm Trini & I know it'--both were wonderfully light and refreshing. For appetizers, we went with the Foie Gras (GF) and the Scallops. Both were exceptionally succulent, delicious, and plated with the fine-dining presentation they deserved. Since our first round went so well, we ordered a second. My friend loved the Firefly so much they got another, while I tried the 'Meet me in Maui,' which I thoroughly enjoyed. The second Firefly wasn't quite as spot-on as the first--perhaps a shift change behind the bar--but we still enjoyed them all. With our second drinks, we ordered the main course: lamb chops with a side of vegetables, cooked medium-rare. We planned to share the meal and specifically asked for the mushrooms on the side since they weren't gluten-free. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, the mushrooms were placed right on top of the vegetables beneath the lamb. The server was extremely apologetic when we pointed it out (likely a simple miscommunication given that we were sharing), so we just picked them off and placed them on my plate. A quick note on the lamb: we ordered medium-rare, but next time I'll probably go for medium-well, as it was a bit too tender for our preference--though still remarkably tasty. Surprisingly, the vegetables ended up being the unexpected star of the plate! Lastly we ordered desserts, They got the Creme Brulee (GF) and I got the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake of which I tried both, and they were exquisite. I wish I had a larger portion. Especially of the hazelnut cake with shavings of coconut on it. It came out looking like a piece of art when placed on the table. Despite the minor hiccup with the mushrooms, the service was wonderfully prompt, and the overall experience was fantastic. The ambiance is seductive, attractive, and features a gorgeous artistic mural--making it an ideal spot for a sophisticated adult night out. (They also have a private space across the street for larger parties and events.) We were both completely satisfied and will definitely be returning, either together or separately, to try more of their incredible menu. Highly recommended!" Sorry didn't get the lamb chops and dessert , was to engaged in conversation but definitely worth getting.

Our first time eating at the new Lecanto location. Very nice outside ambiance to welcome you into…read morethe restaurant. Inside is gorgeous with large wooden beams on a vaulted ceiling with the ever present huge moose head above the entrance way. We called ahead because we had a party of six. Their tables usual seat only four but they have extensions to add to the table to enlarge it. I was hesitant at first thinking the extension would be wobbly but in fact it attached to the table well and was extremely sturdy. We were greeted warmly by our waitress Diana who asked for our drinks order and appetizer. She interacted well with our young grandchildren who are shy and have difficulty in giving their order. Diana wisely made sure they had plastic cups with lids for their drinks which saved us from having embarrassing spills. Our appetizer that we ordered were their Rattlesnake Bites. They're fried round breaded balls made of Jack Cheese and chopped Jalapenos. Served with a Cajun Sauce for dipping. We were served a nice sized portion for sharing around our table in a paper lined basket. They were good but not as tasty as their Pickle Chips. They're still number one in my opinion. My entree was the 14 ounce Fort Worth Ribeye and I asked for it Medium Rare with fried onions on top. My steak was cooked perfectly and tender as can be. Fried onions enhanced my steak. Excellent flavor profile - just seasoned right. My two sides were a House salad and their Seasoned Rice. The house salad was portioned well. Made with fresh, crisp lettuce blend, cherry tomatoes, diced eggs, shredded cheddar cheese and crunchy croutons. I ordered it with an Italian vinaigrette which I loved. My seasoned rice was very good also. Firm rice cooked with a delicious seasoning mix and sprinkled with fried onion bits that made me happy that I ordered it instead of potatoes! We had a fantastic time celebrating my granddaughter's birthday with great food, great service and a special birthday song with a free dessert for the birthday girl. The rest of us skipped dessert because we were full and took home doggy bags and to go cups! We are so happy we finally have a Texas Roadhouse in our county now and we will definitely be repeat customers!

The reasons are that the food quality and preparation don't justify the high prices, or really even average prices. They try to offer upscale choices but the only items that' are consistently pretty good are the burger and a couple of the sandwiches. They've gone through many, many chefs, cooks, managers and servers over the 10+ years that we've lived here and nothing ever changes with the food. It's really a shame because the facility and ambience are very nice and it could be a very nice restaurant.
