The lasagne was a big cold in the middle and could have used some salt and a little less Parmesan. Our pizzas were well seasoned, but with the crust being so large, it allowed for maybe three bites before hitting it. My prosciutto and arugula pizza was way lacking in arugula. I expected a nice helping of seasoned and olive oiled arugula placed in the middle after cooking but got a few wilted pieces scattered about. Both of our pizzas were a tad burnt. Now, if it were super busy maybe I wouldn't have noticed so much, but we were the only customers in the restaurant at noon on a Saturday, so our food should have been perfect. And it took an hour for our food to come out. Way too long...but we will come back and try other menu options because maybe we just made the wrong choice on that day.

I…read morehad a bogo on the sandwiches and pozo's from k states "lunch with the lintons" (president of the school hosts it every semester with a bunch of restaurants in mobile tents and food trucks, it's great if you're a student) Anyway, the ambience is right on point for a place named after bootsy Collins. Colorful, maximalist, and funky! I was greeted instantly by the bartender and we talked about the inspiration of the place, and how the sound system was right on for the theme. Let's hope they can get that vinyl system working with the digital monitors... that's always a tedious process! The food though, it brought it home. I got a to-go order and brought it home to my buddy who'd been working all morning. He took a bite and his eyes lit up man. I Love to see one of my guys visibly love good food. We have been to Bootsie's several times, the food has generally been very good. The service is good…read morea little pushy, but good. The issue I have is they charge you for every extra, dipping sauce, extra charge , as a matter of fact the last time we were in the waiter, asked how I liked the pasta. I told him it was excellent he said what would you do different and I said perhaps a little more sauce but otherwise delicious. He brought some more sauce, which I thought was just wonderful over the top service till I got the bill and there was an up charge. I didn't ask for sauce, but I was charged for extra sauce, that's pretty shady :(
