Food and service is excellent!! Wide variety of Thai food! We have eaten there many, many times over the years! Baan Thai IS the best!!

Our meal here was FANTASTIC. We stopped here at the end of a very long storm chase and were served our food just as the power went out. So we leisurely ate our pad Thai, tom yum, and potstickers in the dark while watching the storm. It was delightful. The staff were so sweet and accommodating. (And the towel dispenser in the bathroom worked on battery power! Score!) The atmosphere inside the restaurant stayed calm and cozy. The food was fresh and delicious. The spicy+ was HOT (read: almost beyond the border of what I can stand, and I regularly eat Thai hot). The tom yum was magnificent. Definitely make sure to get the Thai tea, especially if you order spicy. We paid in cash and had no problems. Price was excellent for such amazing food. We would definitely stop here again! read more

Very fast service and beautiful interior with a nice atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I got the pad Thai with beef, and the meat was flavorful but thin and on the chewy/tougher side. The noodles were slightly overcooked and a bit too salty. Overall decent and would recommend coming here if you're craving Thai food. read more

Good Thai option in Manhattan. Good menu selection and surprised to see they had Khao Soi on the menu though I didn't try it this time. Food was tasty though a little salty and surprisingly did have some heat. Very friendly service and nice clean restaurant. read more

The staff was not happy to see us. The booths are cramped too close to the table. The room is bleak and dull. The food was maybe ***, and that's generous. read more

Love, love, love. We drove an hour to cone here since thr closest Baan Thai closed. We were devastated until we found out they have a location in Manhattan. The service was amazing and the food NEVER disappoints. read more

Just ordered fried rice and spring rolls and a chicken dish .... It was done in less 3 minutes!!!! The very high young boy takin our his answer to every thing was "I don't know". The fried rice was smash !!! The sping rolls were fried hours ago Chicken is rubbish! the good thing was the white rice. I do not recommend this place to anyone. When it comes to hiring employees do multiple drug test and don't advertise that everything is made fresh because it's not read more

The evening started out with awesome service. Then they got busy and we were sort of forgotten. The food was really great and they prepared it really fast. The ambiance has sort of a south East Asian wood vibe which is cool. The only thing holding this back from five stars is we got forgotten. read more

Literally the best Thai food I've had in a long time! Completely calm and wonderful dining area and the staff is on point. I will be taking everyone that comes to visit to this restaurant. I usually get the Gang Massaman Curry with chicken and the crab rangoons. The rangoons are heavenly since the fried outer shell is SO thin. read more

Fantastic original Thai cuisine. We have been here twice now and both times the food was excellent, well prepared, well served and the quantity was adequate. There's enough parking spaces upfront and the place gets crowded on weekdays for dinner. Will be going back soon !! read more

I cannot give enough praise for this establishment. First time I went I had their green curry and practically inhaled the dish (my server was quick on water refills thankfully). Second time we got crazy noodles and Pak Kroc Pow (with shrimp and chicken). Once again super yummy. Only thing that kept me from licking the plate was pride. Their Thai iced Tea is yummy too. Booths and large tables, they seem to be able to accommodate most groups. read more

Love the food! It was nice and everything was very fresh The portions were huge, we had to take food home. The environment was so nice Love the decoration inside! Service was A+ would definitely recommend but also, make sure when you order ask for spice level on some foods if you can't handle spicy food... read more

Pad Thai was excellent! Large servings of fried rice. Service was excellent and fast!

Service needs to improve a lot, food was okay compared to price. But the service needs change. Tell your servers to atleast acknowledge people! They just seem not to care. read more

I hadn't been there since they switched locations and was really impressed with with how they transitioned it from being a gas station to looking upscale. I loved my pad thai. I asked for it to not be spicy and it was perfect. I can't wait to check it out again! read more

Glad to find this restaurant! Great service, great people! The sukiyaki was very good. One thing to note is that when they say something is hot, believe them. I love spicy food, and am quite used to most anything spicy that most restaurants will serve. I was impressed here; it warmed me right up. Still, excellent flavor and quality. read more

March 6th 2024 Food is delicious, came here two weeks ago and it was delicious then. The main issue is with the service, they'll seat you and come back in about 2 minutes to ask if you're ready to order, the first time we made the mistake of saying we needed more time, and we surely got more time, they waitress came back about 15 minutes later and asked us if we were ready, so we ordered and the food was great as stated before but the waitresses never came back to ask how anything was, or if we needed a refill on drinks, or if we needed anything at all. She came back and gave us the check and we paid. I'm here in the restaurant writing this right now just finished the roasted duck curry and it was great, the food is no issue whatsoever. But once again the staff would walk by the table and I'd observe them look down at the empty cup on the side of the table and they'd keep walking by and seem to ignore it, never offering a refill. They never came back to ask how things tasted or check in with us until the check was dished out, I put my card in the book and waited about 8 minutes or so for them to come and pick up the book and they didn't bring the book back for about another 8 minutes. Seems like there's no sense of urgency, and they take their time read more

Didn't expect great Thai food in Manhattan, Kansas, but we found it here. Visiting long term friends here, we spent the five minutes necessary to see downtown Manhattan (again) and agree the Little Apple was still there. Having already tried the few restaurants that were not college based (i.e. pizza, beer, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, carryout, pizza), they said, how about thai? We love thai food, but in Manhattan not NewYork? Ok, the restaurant. It was clean, nice, and the food was excellent. We had pad thai (have to try that the first time of course), a spicy beef salad, and our friends had spicy basil beef. We asked for our spiciness to be 5+, while they ordered 2. We were pleased to see ours was actually nicely spiced (we'd call it a 4, but delicious), while our friends was toned down to something they liked. Too often, we find that meals asked for with different spice levels don't end up very different. Good job! We like this so much that the next day, we ordered carryout - it was also fantastic. read more

Food was amazing, family of 4 we all tried different dishes and appetizers. Only reason not 5 stars the booths were so uncomfortable. Service was good food was world class. We definitely will be making that a regular place when we're in town read more

Excellent Crab fried rice. The Coconut Milk soup was to die for especially if you are a bit under the weather.

Amazing food and great service makes for a winning combination. I wasn't able to have much Thai food growing up because of my peanut allergy but the folks at Baan Thai want everyone to enjoy it and I can't thank them enough for it. read more

Writing this review from the toilet, lol. I ordered the pumpkin curry, and it was awesome. Honestly , worth the pain I'm feeling currently. However , my husband ordered the Crab fried rice, it seriously smells as if it was prepared in a barn, and does not taste much better. Service was pretty good, we came an hour and a half before close and the restaurant was empty, food came very fast! Just avoid the seafood :) read more

Honestly I only star because the chicken fried rice was the best thing I had ate. I brought a friend here for her birthday because we wanted to try something new and I regret it. The waitress asked if we were ready to order but we didn't know what we wanted and so she said she'll come back.......20 min later. Then we ordered the pad Thai seafood and the pong garee. Worst mistake of the night. It was horrible, both dishes. The seafood was way too chewy. I've had better fast food. So I told her to take the food away and just bring chicken fried rice. Me and my friend just split the dish and left quickly. read more

As the only Thai place in manhattan to get your fix, this one is pretty great! I recommend starting with the roti & curry sauce, and the chicken satay! My favorite dishes are the Pad See Mow, Pad Thai, and the Penang Curry! The service can be a bit slow, and the food is extra spicy so be sure to check spice levels and specify how much you can handle! read more

I've eaten at Baan Thai several times with friends and family. Every time, the food has been tasty, hot, and fresh. The crazy noodle (usually on the specials board) is a really delicious spicy noodle dish. Eric R. is very happy with the beef penang that he loves so dearly. I have gotten a beef salad with a side of rice a few times which has been very delicious. The salad is even spicy! My friend Hannah J. asked the Thai server for a spice level "like she likes her men - HOT!" and her fried rice was too spicy for her - she could not even eat her words! Overall, the food is good, whether fresh spring rolls, noodle dishes, curries, or salads. Check the specials board and don't forget the Thai iced tea! read more

Absolutely wonderful! Went to the soft opening and it's delicious, service was great, family owned!

My go to every time is the Pinapple Fried Rice, it never disappoints! It's delicious and comes with shrimp, chicken, cashews, fresh pineapples and lots of vegetables. The soup is hot or miss, wouldn't recommend. But everything else is good! Had the fried banana with ice cream for dessert and it was a unique flavor. read more

Haven't been back here since last year. We went around 2pm on a Sunday. It wasn't busy and we were greeted by this kind lady. She was a family member of the owners of the restaurants. She took really good care of us. Food was okay. I enjoyed the Thai iced coffee. ---------------------- Old review: Restaurant atmosphere: 10/10 Food: 7/10 Service: 2/10 Apparently I have to be a an old white man/woman to get decent service.
