I came in looking for chicken soup as I was feeling under the weather. I ordered the chicken soup and it was wonderful. I had enough for 3 meals. They were generous with chicken. The broth was wonderful and I think it helped heal me. The chips and salsa were great. I loved the salsa flavor and I'm normally very picky on salsa. My dad said the enchiladas didn't have much meat. Food was out pretty quickly which I appreciated. I was impressed with how they changed the interior from the Long John Silvers that it was before. The bathrooms were clean. read more

The food came out very quickly. I ordered a regular carne asada burrito, but it was unfortunately pretty bland and required several sauces to add flavor. The rice was also very mushy. Vegan and Vegetarian options, 2 whole pages of deliciousness and tap or bottled beer. Enough parking for our camper as we are traveling and such friendly and attentive staff. Close to the Kansas State University Campus in a shopping center location with lots of eateries. We ordered the Veggie burritos no sour cream. Served up with chips and salsa as an appetizer. The carnitas in mole sauce was alright. The tortillas had the right flavor and texture. The tamale with chicken in salsa verde could be more flavorful. The chips and salsa were a little too sweet and it's not authentic. The taco roy al pastor was delicious, just that I wish it came with salsa. Excellent food very very well made. My companion and I sampled the enchiladas verdes and fajitas. Our favored dish was the fajitas and my only complaint with the enchiladas was the filling as a little dry and I would've liked a bit more sauce. The service was just lovely and the restaurant itself was very pleasant to eat in. Very positive experience totally recommend!!! read more

A friend asked me to lunch at Frida's and it I was so pleased with my meal. Now I eat there at least once a week and it is always good no matter what I order. I think that on top of just being good their food is consistently good and always fresh. Time after time after time. We have had many Mexican restaurants in town and we still do but this one is by far my favorite. And we have really grown to expect excellent service because Jesus is the best waiter. Tried Fridas last night and it was just fresh and delicious. We had the Mole and the Tostido and Dorado taco. Shrimp burrito was great and plentiful. The margaritas were on point and service was great. All fresh and reminiscent of San Diego. Prices were good and we will return. read more

Some unique items on the menu, loads of meat options and options to customize your meal. And on top of good food the service has been amazing both times! O.M.G, this place was amazing and exceeded my expectations! The service was nice and the time for our food to come out was perfect. The best part of course was the food. My husband ordered the Quesabirria and I ordered Taco Roy with Pastor. I also had to order a Michelada that came out way bigger than I thought and had shrimp which was so tasty. They just might have beat LA Fiesta in my opinion but I'll let you be the judge of that. The food is definitely authentic Mexican. We ordered a vegetarian quesadilla platter, a grilled pollo quesadilla platter, and a carne asada platter. They were all delicious and enough for three. There's one catch. The quesadillas are not the cheesy, gooey kind that one expects. In fact they're just soft tacos in fried flour tortillas (their regular tacos have corn tortillas). This was rather disappointing as the very name "quesadilla" suggests a little cheesy item. But as they all tasted great, I am still giving this five stars. By far, this is our favorite Mexican food restaurant around Manhattan. It's in an area crowded with chain stores and it's a great surprise when you walk in to find a family restaurant in the strip center. The prices are excellent. The chips are real. The salsa has kick and flavor. Compared to the other "Kansas Mex" places in town, their food has flavor and spices. The margaritas have real flavor. They have rotating specials. The service is great too. I've seen lines at doors of other places because they are hip, but this place is way better and you won't break the bank. read more
