where do i start? well, everything here was delicious! i ordered 4 tacos. asada, carnitas, chicharron, and birria. these were hands down one of the best tacos i've had in this area. it tasted so true to classic mexican cuisine. the chimichanga was huge and it was stuffed with cheese, carnitas, and veggies. super flavorful and crispy shell. the enchiladas was probably the best i've ever had and they make them the way i like. not drowned in sauce. just simple dipped and rolled with the filling. it came with a side of chorizo and i just am not a fan of chorizo to begin with. overall, our meal was excellent here and this will be our go to place! our service was great and the vibe of the restaurant gave you all the signs that the food was gonna be great. read more

Took a while to decide what to get, menu too big. The environment was good but it's was kinda loud with music and all the conversations. The service was great. The problem was the food. I ordered the steak chimichanga's, the quality and quantity was disappointing. Each bite had tendons and was chewy. I didn't even eat anything. Rice was over cooked and flavor less. My coke had more flavor than my supper. Just this bland meal all around for a dine in experience of a restaurant was very disappointing. And paying $75. I came in looking for chicken soup as I was feeling under the weather. I ordered the chicken soup and it was wonderful. I had enough for 3 meals. They were generous with chicken. The broth was wonderful and I think it helped heal me. The chips and salsa were great. I loved the salsa flavor and I'm normally very picky on salsa. My dad said the enchiladas didn't have much meat. The food so good here and full of flavor. The crispy tacos are really good. The ground beef has a lot of flavor. The Gorditas with carne Asada are my absolute favorite. My only complaint about the Gorditas is the size they are rather small and wish they were a little bigger but they pack a lot of flavor. read more

Fridays such an incredible restaurant and I am so happy it exists in our community! As a vegetarian I have found this restaurant to have the best meatless selection across town. They have their own vegetarian section on the menu and it is fantastic, you have to try the tacos del rey. The staff is super nice and quick as well, we always leave super happy and full. The food came out very quickly. I ordered a regular carne asada burrito, but it was unfortunately pretty bland and required several sauces to add flavor. The rice was also very mushy. We love dining at locally owned restaurants, and Fridas popped up on our radar this week... if you like Mexican food you can't go wrong here. The environment, nice... it has a coastal vibe and features art from Frida Kahlo. The service, great. The food, great. The prices, great. We ordered the (Tuesday) 3 taco special, I got mine with carnitas, and they were delicious. The meat was nicely seasoned and cooked to a nice sear. The tacos were also served with refried beans, Spanish rice, and sauteed onions. They also provide salsa and chips, and we ordered guacamole to go with all of it. The carnitas in mole sauce was alright. The tortillas had the right flavor and texture. The tamale with chicken in salsa verde could be more flavorful. The chips and salsa were a little too sweet and it's not authentic. The taco roy al pastor was delicious, just that I wish it came with salsa. Excellent food very very well made. My companion and I sampled the enchiladas verdes and fajitas. Our favored dish was the fajitas and my only complaint with the enchiladas was the filling as a little dry and I would've liked a bit more sauce. O.M.G, this place was amazing and exceeded my expectations! The service was nice and the time for our food to come out was perfect. The best part of course was the food. My husband ordered the Quesabirria and I ordered Taco Roy with Pastor. I also had to order a Michelada that came out way bigger than I thought and had shrimp which was so tasty. They just might have beat LA Fiesta in my opinion but I'll let you be the judge of that. A friend asked me to lunch at Frida's and it I was so pleased with my meal. Now I eat there at least once a week and it is always good no matter what I order. I think that on top of just being good their food is consistently good and always fresh. Time after time after time. We have had many Mexican restaurants in town and we still do but this one is by far my favorite. And we have really grown to expect excellent service because Jesus is the best waiter. Tried Fridas last night and it was just fresh and delicious. We had the Mole and the Tostido and Dorado taco. Shrimp burrito was great and plentiful. The margaritas were on point and service was great. All fresh and reminiscent of San Diego. Prices were good and we will return. read more

We've been to Frida's twice and between all of our family members we've tried at least 10 different things. Everything is amazing. Some unique items on the menu, loads of meat options and options to customize your meal. And on top of good food the service has been amazing both times! The food is definitely authentic Mexican. We ordered a vegetarian quesadilla platter, a grilled pollo quesadilla platter, and a carne asada platter. They were all delicious and enough for three. There's one catch. The quesadillas are not the cheesy, gooey kind that one expects. In fact they're just soft tacos in fried flour tortillas (their regular tacos have corn tortillas). This was rather disappointing as the very name "quesadilla" suggests a little cheesy item. But as they all tasted great, I am still giving this five stars. By far, this is our favorite Mexican food restaurant around Manhattan. It's in an area crowded with chain stores and it's a great surprise when you walk in to find a family restaurant in the strip center. The prices are excellent. The chips are real. The salsa has kick and flavor. Compared to the other "Kansas Mex" places in town, their food has flavor and spices. The margaritas have real flavor. They have rotating specials. The service is great too. I've seen lines at doors of other places because they are hip, but this place is way better and you won't break the bank. read more
