I asked my podiatrist if he thought I should go to the Good Feet Store and he said to avoid it like the plague. I went anyway because I was desperate. What a ripoff. This place is a pure scam. They actually wanted thousands of dollars for freaking inserts and the salesman was seriously clueless. They didn't get money from me. I was looking to replace the old orthopedic cushions in my shoes, I had them for about 5 years and they helped my feet. The store that I bought them from closed. So was was searching for another one. I had passed Good Feet many times, they are near where I live. I entered the store on Saturday 01/ 25/25. A man named Dan said hello how can I help you. I said that I need a pair of orthopedic cushions for my shoes. He never said we don't sell them. Asked me to take a seat. I sat down and another man sat to the left of me. I think he was being trained to sell. Dan sat in front of me. I felt like I was being questioned by he FBI. They started asking me questions: what is the reason you are here for? I replied I was looking to replace the old orthopedic cushions in my shoes and proceeded to take them out of my shoes. They never said we don't sell them. Asked me where my feet hurt and I pointed to the bottom of my feet. Are you walking OK? I replied that I lose my balance occasionally and have fallen a few times, also I walk much slower then I used to, I'm 82 years old. Dan brought out a flat board with white paper on and it had ink on the bottom. He asked me stand up and place my right foot on the paper. Pulled the paper out and asked me to do the same thing with my left foot. He then show me the spot on my feet that needed help. I've never seen anything like this before and I've been wearing orthopedic cushions in my shoes and sneakers for the last 52 years. Dan said I going to the back to find the Custom Inserts for my feet. He came back with a Vibrating Foot Massager, which he asked me to place my feet on while he was giving me the presentation. Also a pair of Brooks Sneakers, a Soft Cushion Walking Shoe, 2 Pairs of socks, and 3 different Plastic Inserts: Strengtheners, Maintainers and Relaxers. Velcro Dots to fasten the Plastic Inserts to the bottom of your shoe. Also 2 Full Length Pads that go over the Plastic Inserts to make them feel more comfortable. I asked what is the price? Dan said first I want you to try them on and walk around the store. I did what he said, he placed hand on my shoulder so I wouldn't loose my balance and fall down. I said they hard my feet on both sides and my heel, He said you have to break them in and wear them the rest of the day. I tried walking by myself and they still hurt. I went back to my seat. He put the Vibrating Foot Massager on to calm me down and relax me. I asked again how my does it cost. He replied the whole package is $2,400. I said that I can't afford it I'm on Social Security. He said that you can finance it at no charge for 1 year with Care Credit. I said no. I should have walked out then. He said that you can have 1 pair of the Plastic Inserts for $500.00. He said that you must wear them for 2 Weeks for them to adjust to your feet . We have a Lifetime Guarantee, if your not satisfied come back and we'll adjust them. I realized after 2 days there is no way to adjust the hard plastic, you can't bend it at all. So I said OK I'll try them. Went to the front desk paid on my credit card. When I got home I realized that I did the wrong thing. I believed that it was a SCAM. So I went on Googled their website www.goodfeet.com to check out the comments. There were other sites that claimed it was a Scam. I did what Dan said and wore them Saturday and Sunday My feet have never felt worse. I'm in constant pain. I feel down twice, I have to use my walker that I bought and never used. On Tuesday I called my Podiatrist, I couldn't get an appointment but I was able to see his Physician Assistant. I brought the plastic inserts with me and showed them to her. She showed the doctor who said that other patients had bought them and they damaged their feet. I felt so upset ​when I left out of there. Hell , I never dreamed I would need to take out a loan for some shoe inserts. Man these guys were good, they tag teamed me and I didn't know what happened. I was in pain from a heel spur, and I guess I wasn't thinking clear. I have never felt so, taken advantage of $1600.00 later he said, he would call and check on me to see how they felt. Jay at the Plano store wouldn't tell me what the cost would be even though I asked for an estimate many times. I paid $1,350 plus tax for 3 sets of plastic out of a box orthotics- that's without shoes. I even went back for a second fitting as allowed but to no avail. I followed everything Jay said to do, but experienced nothing but EXTREMELY DEPRESSING PAIN. I though my walking life was over, and even cried in a room full of friends how desperate I felt. I have midfoot arthritis and these plastic orthotics can't help that like Jay kept telling me they would. He's sold these for only a year and has no podiatry background whatsoever. Don't make the same mistake I did, cause there are NO REFUNDS. If this helps one person from the misery I felt it was worth writing. My salesman did not listen to what I wanted and when I asked questions about the product that deviated from his script he got frustrated and demanded I listen to him. I wish I would have checked reviews before I paid $2,500 on something that DOESN'T WORK!!!! Of course they only put the reviews that make them look good on their website. When I felt like I was being sold something, I should have walked out. But when you suffer from foot pain, you are desperate. They rely on that desperation. I should have asked how much commission she was making out on the deal. They make sure you understand that since you use them walking out of the store that there's no returns. No returns on ANYTHING! They threw in 7 pairs of socks, a foot massager machine, a pair of socks they threw on me, new sneakers, a box of arch supports, and a box of three arch supports. Never asked if I wanted them so I assumed that it came as a package deal. The receipt broke down the cost of everything. I feel so stupid that I fell right into their scheme. Oh, and here's another gem. They have financing! They only fit you for your shoe size for the sneaker, not the arch support that I thought they were doing. I wish I could give zero stars. While our sales lady was very nice, it's a whole song and dance that lasts about an hour and then they hit you with the price. The orthotics are $450 per pair, but they show you a set of three and present it as a system in which you need to purchase all three sets. The cheapest you'll get out of there is $1350+ tax. Considering one good pair of custom orthotics is less than half the price of the Good Feet "set," you're better off getting one good pair of orthotics that are customized to your foot instead of their three pre-made orthotics. I do not recommend this business. I used to, based on their commercials. I am someone who works in healthcare. And I thought their commercials were good. Just goes to show you that anyone can be led astray. I went with a close friend who need new orthotics. The "sales representatives" were a hard sale for their system. The salesman never listened to her. In fact, he was quite condescending. When she stated that she really just needed an extra pair of orthotics, he stated that hers were grossly overused. He basically degraded her every step of the way and tried to sell her their "entire system" that would cost at least $2,000. She held firm and bought 1 pair of orthotics. $500 out of pocket for a very painful 2hours. And here is the other thing: had our salesman, Zac listened (as Karen did) we might have bought the additional orthotic. read more

Just reviewing this store because I believe I should have been better informed before going there. I would have saved myself over $2200. Stupid me. I had heard about the Good Feet store on the radio. One of my favorite local morning radio guys plugs them constantly so, I thought they must be great. I looked up online what they cost and found that they were around $500. I had been having ankle pain for the last couple years after a surgery I had. Recently I had noticed that the wear on my right shoe was very uneven and must be the cause of the ankle pain. I made an appt for 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon but, because the staff was busy with 2 other clients when I got there (and later a 3rd) so, I had to sit and wait for an hour and half. I should have left then but, the young man that was to wait on me was trying his best to finish up with them and keep me happy, so, I stayed. I did notice during that time, all 3 of the clients were there to get re-fitted.. That was something I didn't really think about until later. The salesman eventually fitted me by having me stand on some paper that mapped my arches, measured my feet and then put some inserts in some Brooks shoes and had me walk around. I found them very uncomfortable and let him know this. I had no idea how they were supposed to feel but he assured me that if I followed the schedule, in time they would feel good. After all the testing was done (even though they were not comfortable), the salesman said "trust me, I would not try and sell you something I didn't believe would work" and they he proceeded to tell me what the cost for the package he had put together would be. $2200 I was a bit in shock. He quickly said that they could take the money for my FSA or HSA or sign me up for some other payment program. None of that made any sense for me but the issue wasn't really how to pay for it, it was the price. I was in pain at this time and if there was any chance this system might work, I was willing to pay, no matter how crazy the price. He did tell me that none of it could be returned after I walked out the door.. Stupid me just said "ok". Thinking about it all later, it all seemed very off. I'm not blaming the guy because he was just doing his job and doing what he was taught but it wasn't working out well for me. I followed the schedule for the next month and was in pain the whole time. Not from my ankle but, from the inserts I had bought. It actually made me forget about my ankle pain. I ended up scheduling a re-fitting and went in after a month. The same salesman was there, and when seeing me walk in, acted very surprised to see me. He said it was very rare to get someone to come in for a re-fitting. I then thought about my first visit where all 3 others were there for re-fitting (maybe that was just a rare occasion). Anyway, he said he was going to do a totally new fitting from scratch. The arch mapping he did this time was very different from the one on my first visit. Where the one from my first visit showed arch issues with my right foot, this time it showed no issue. (Both feet were the same with high arches) Nevertheless, he got some other inserts that were a size longer and had less of an arch support. These new supports did feel better but still were not comfortable at all. He told me not to follow the schedule this time. He said if they start feeling uncomfortable to then stop wearing them for the day. I left and started wearing the new ones the next day. They were again not comfortable no matter what schedule I tried. A couple days after my refitting I got a call from the store saying that they had seen that I had scheduled a re-fitting and were calling to confirm... I guess they never had a record of me going in for my refitting. After another week I started having additional pains in my knee and hip so I stopped the system. I mentioned my experience to my PCP who told me I should not have gone to the Good Feet Store without first going to a foot and ankle specialist. I did just that a week later. The first thing the foot doctor said to me was that he hoped I hadn't wasted any money there. I wish I would have started with the foot doctor. My feet, ankles and knees are now almost totally pain free with the correct care. I would just advise anyone planning on going to the Good Feet Store to first see and foot or ankle specialist. Im sure the Good Feet Store has products that work for some but for many of us, its a huge waste. The people that work there are nice and are just trying to make a living but, their job is to sell a product no matter. I think the Good Feet store would do better if they truly had a system you could try without the "try and your own risk" system. I also think selling a system that includes several pairs of $50 /pair socks along with expensive Brooks shoes all while advertising that you can wear their insoles in any shoe or sandal, is a bit insulting as well. read more

I purchased insoles for my son with special needs a year ago. The insoles did not help the pain in his feet, legs, and back as promised. They are non-refundable. Also, we were paying over time and just received a statement with a HUGE interest charge. It was never explained to me that there is a monthly interest charge if not paid in full within one year. I bought orthotics from the Preston road store and they solved my bunion on my right foot, stupidly had surgery on my right foot and it is still not great. Fast forward and my son kept going through orthotics that the doctor prescribed, which are not covered by insurance. Finally, brought him here. They feel better and last forever. I am writing this review for my mother who just bought soles and shoes from here 2 weeks ago in order to be able to visit me in California and go for hikes. She had foot surgery 3 year ago and she has not been able to walk the same ever since. She also started having knee and hip pain and these Orthotics seem to be solving all the issues! Yes. The orthotics are pretty expensive. But, this review is about SERVICE. Chuck & Perry at the Plano store are a BLESSING! They were as kind as they were knowledgeable. Appointment or walk in, makes no difference. Both gentleman are a delight. But, I was lucky to have Chuck as my fitter. It's clear he genuinely cares about my ability to walk without pain. He really took his time to ensure everything fit correctly. He also explained how my orthotics should be fitting and answered every question I had with a perfect mix of compassion and education. He even found a way to make the orthotics more affordable. Overall, I had no expectations going in... And I'm walking away, grateful to have met such wonderful people. read more

I visited this store with the expressed purpose of setting up an appointment for my Nursing homebound 94-year-old mother with arch issues. They (nicely dressed African American Male and Blonde lady) assured me they could help. They said each pair cost $ 350 which I thought was high, but I was more than willing to pay that price. I received the confirmations of Appt. and we arrived right on time. (The amount of effort to get a person released from a care facility during the time of COVID19 is extensive). The two gentlemen there knew nothing of our appointment and were surprised that the fitting was for her (on a walker) and not me. It became clear that this was not anything like I had inquired about during my discovery visit. I am beyond disappointed. The two, Male and Female) who spoke with me in person the week before were not available. I am sure for the agile with foot problems this may be a good place, but a sale at any cost was the feeling I got from the Man and Lady on my first visit. After bunion surgeries on both feet, I was glad to find better orthotics that could straighten my toes while I walk. The orthotic 3-step system seems to be doing that. I guess the good feet store doesn't want to sell their products to most people in DFW. The nearest store to Mesquite is over 40 miles from me and anyone else living southeast of downtown Dallas. There is also absolutely horrible traffic between here and there. If you only open in places with higher incomes, then your prices are probably too high anyway. read more

So, after driving through all kinds of rush hour traffic and pouring rain, I arrived at the Plano store at 5:45. I was greeted by a lady who promptly told me that they closed at 6pm and she would not be able to help me, since the process would take 30 minutes and she had to get to her yoga class. Really? You have a potential paying customer, who would be willing to spend $300 for your "kit" and you have to get to your yoga class. Why don't you just say that your yoga is more important than the customer. Their name may be good feet, but they don't have good customer service. I won't be back! read more

Each kit \ set is 3 pairs of hard orthotic insoles, named the strengthener, the maintainer and the relaxer, each pair is about USD$325 plus tax , therefore the set goes for over $1,000 dollars per person, the salesman recommended the complete set to work the best for each person so I got 2 sets, one for my wife with additional tennis shoes paid $1,140.00 right on 02-23-2019 and the other set for me with in house financial in 3 months starting 03-23-2019 $334.00 x 3 the manager dropped the paperwork in the bag. Sunday morning we took them out of the box, the receipt was not one of the papers, instructions, schedule and in the house financial paper were found but no receipt in the bag. We read the papers inserted in the bag and the return policy is like you put an axe on your own foot "All sales are final " at least somehow mentioned a store credit as option. I will use them as instructed, the strengthener are hard as rocks, it's like walking on heels with rocks inside the shoes, I got to do it slowly and carefully , at the end of the 21 days break in period we should be able to wear these strengthener 6 hours a day. On day 1 we went to the park ( we are active couple, usually walk 60 to 70 thousand steps per week \ I'm a Fitbit user) walking with the maintainer in tennis shoes I was not able to complete the 30 minutes and got to removed them in the middle of the park for sharp pain in my foot, it hurts, feet were on fire that night, Today 02-25-2019 is my second day, I will follow schedule as a clock (I was a soldier) I will continue the 21 days break in period, I really want to see these things as useful because they cost more than 2 brand new Iphones, We will see how it goes...... I will keep you post..... 03-01-2019 Today is the 6th day , 6 hours with the maintainer , 3 hours with the strengthener and the rest of the day with the relaxers.... I got the maintainers from 7 am to 1 pm , even sitting at the desk these insoles are nothing more than two words " pure discomfort" I'm afraid to walk fast because razor pain experienced day 1 , the Strengtheners I will used them 4:30 to 7:30 as scheduled but with those will be good to just sit and watch TV, those are like walking on heels with rocks under your feet, you should see me walking with those, I looks like a zombie of the death walkers movie, DO NOT DARE TO WALK FAST !!! ..... these things are just a pain in the feet. I have to admit that I was skeptical. My husband and I were both having knee and muscle issues. We made an online appointment, just to see. We're 1 day in to the three insole system now, and can already feel a difference. Yes, they're expensive. But so are braces, pain medication, doctor visits and/or possible surgery. You can use FSA or HSA funds for the orthotics. You also learn about neutral shoes and what to look for. I highly recommend Darrel. read more

My husband has been having plantar fasciitis issues for years now, slowly getting worse. He doesn't like medications of any kind, so we have tried it all to help alleviate his pain -shoes, insoles, etc. He is on his feet a good portion of the day. It took me some time to convince him to try them out. We went to the store in Allen. My husband is a "cut to the chase" kind of guy and the salesman did. I won't say the system is cheap. We spent a total of $1500+ but I would have spent thousands if it meant he felt better. We ended up getting two pair of shoes so that he's have a pair he could get dirty and messed up at work and have another we could go to dinner with. He had pain in the am getting out of bed, back and hip pain in the evening. The change was almost instantaneous. Within 3 days, his pain was significantly decreased and he's felt better than he's felt in along time. Would recommend to anyone having similar issues. And no, I DON'T work for the company nor get paid to endorse. Don't put it off another day if you can help it. Life is too short to spend it in pain. read more
