Everyone in this store is so friendly! But more importantly, their level of knowledge is incredible. This is a hidden gem in Encinitas near Encinitas Blvd & El Camino Real. Check it out. read more

Everything is overpriced . A dozen golf balls ( Pro V's) is $60 with tax. Club repair services are average at best. Why there isn't more golf store companies in this area is surprising. read more

My husband purchased a set of used irons. for a very good deal. Then at home, he realized that the clubs were too short for his height and reached out to the store right away. Ryan answered our call and was very understanding. The manager Jacob took care of the issue right away. My husband ended up purchasing a different used set which was in great condition. We've been shopping at the Golf Mart located in Mission Valley for many years before this but I must say that the folks at Encinitas are much more professional and helpful. I also would like to mention that they have great deals on used sets you can find some decent ones that are in excellent conditions! Thank you read more

Terrible customer service. No refund, only store credit. Very disappointed with people who work there. Not friendly and Jake is not experienced and not knowledgeable and he is very impatient. He need better and more training. Not impressed at this location. read more

They have good trial policy, twice in sox month for credit return for another set, good offering. But for the people working at most of these golf mart, terrible attitude. So beware. Hope you find one person that is helpful. They all have this attitude you need to listen to them because they work in the golf store. read more

I ignored the 1 star ratings and went in. I guess I don't look golfy enough. I wanted to buy my son a nice club for Christmas and was told to get a used one on eBay for $20 and was practically escorted out the door. Plenty of nicer golf stores to spend your money at. read more

Chase is a great and a very helpful employee and should be happy to have him. i will drive from Poway to this store because the 3 times my partner and I been there to check out and buy clubs everyone has been great. will be getting a stealth rescue this week from him. read more

Gary was amazing spent his personal time with me analyzing and writing up best club selections for me. Been playing golf for over 50 years. THE BEST EVER. read more

Aaron was amazing. This store is genuinely incredible, the sales staff cares about the people they're selling to. I am brand new to golf and have no experience and instead of trying to rake me over the coals Aaron taught me a little about putting and was honest with me. His honesty and great customer service gave me freedom to choose. His demeanor and kindness is why I bought a Taylormade GT Spider Max and what will lead me back to buy the rest of my clubs. read more

Mike Hawes was brilliant in diagnosing the problem with my daughter's driver and amazingly fixed a difficult problem with her driver extension and grip. He was kind enough to let us go and enjoy our lunch and messaged us as soon as the club was ready. He explained the challenge and how he fixed the club, we are very thankful to Mike for his help and expertise. Would recommend him any day. read more

Fantastic place. The people are the best. I got a great golf lesson which corrected my swing. When you go ask for Mark!

Update - after leaving this review, the business sent me a message asking for my phone number - I gave it to them and they never called. It's comical how horrible this place is. They need to take a 101 class in customer service. This place had decent reviews and I needed a beginner set of clubs, so I visited. It was not busy at all - There were at least 3 salesman on the floor and not 1 of them greeted me or asked if needed any assistance. After about twenty mins of browsing the used clubs I ended up calling some friends to get their advice on what set I should purchase. Good selection of golf gear, horrible customer experience. read more

Aaron of Golf Mart Escondido is knowledgeable, pleasant, and most of all very patient, as I took my time trying out a few brands of new drivers, then he continued to help me really narrow in on the right combo/specs of shaft and lofts. I definitely walked away a happy customer with a new toy - knowing that it is backed by their 90-day in-store exchange warranty. Highly recommended. read more

All of the other 1 star reviews are totally accurate. It is a pretty dumpy layout and displays. None of the workers seem to take much pride in customer service or quality retail environment. Feels like a run down perpetual 'going out of business' vibe in here. Which is likely true with such poor service. Off to Dick's Sporting Goods or just online I suppose. read more

I'm a wife who doesn't know anything about golf. My husband loves to play and he told me about this place so I can buy him a golf bag he wants for his birthday. I went today; I have no other way to describe my experience /customer service other than "F***ing HORRIBLE". I went with my 9 year old son and even he told me, "Mom, we got no help". Are you kidding me? My husband just bought some high end golf clubs from you. I'm going to make sure he doesn't go back to you for his driver. Thankfully DICKS SPORTING HAD WHAT I NEED IT" You are the worse! read more

I try to support local business which is getting very hard when I run into poor customer service like I did at this place. Went in 2 consecutive days and found a used iron set I had been looking for. The first day I asked for the best price they could let it go for and I got very positive response and service. I never buy on impulse though and waited till the next day to go back and buy. The second trip was not so good. First there was no offer to assist while I walked around the shop and after 30 minutes when I Went to purchase the iron set the person of authority insisted the previous sales clerk had no right to offer the price he did and insisted I pay $80 more. I said I came to buy at the price quoted yesterday and he refused to honor the offer. He also got adamant and rude that I even expected him to keep the stores word from the previous day. I walked out and this individual has lost golfmart customer for life, over $80 on a used set that will likely sit there for years by the looks of it. They have dozens of used iron sets and the fact this one is so important he refuses a fair offer is beyond common sense. I had also picked out 2 new hybrids and new grips for all, so he lost a very good size and profitable sale. Goodbye golfmart and hello ebay and amazon. read more

Just stopped in to buy clubs. Have not golfed since my 20's. Retired now at 53. Have a few friends that golf and want me to start again. They had a couple of used sets that looked pretty good. And would need a whole setup. Woods, hybrid, bag etc. Was never acknowledged, greeted or Asked if I needed help. So, I walked out.. read more

Walked in and explained where I was at with my golf game. Just a dude with an itch to get better and take a step up from the $20 set I got off craigslist. Gary understood my situation and guided me right to a set of used Taylormade irons that was moderately priced and right in the range I was looking for. He took me over to the virtual driving range to let me take the clubs for a few practice swings. Not only did he provide me the opportunity to try out the clubs, but he also took the time to give me a few quick tips about my swing which immediately improved my next three strokes after making his suggested adjustments. I must say, I was really impressed with my experience. Also, I ended up pricing out the clubs online after I purchased, and found that he gave me a more than fair price. If you're in the market for some clubs, used or new, do yourself the favor of stopping in here and checking out what they have to offer. Thank you Golf Mart Encinitas, I'm stoked to try out my new clubs ! I'll be back soon when I'm ready to check out your putters. read more

I have just picked up golf again and the staff at the Golf Mart knows there stuff. What is more comforting to know is when I had an issue on a return (some bank transaction stuff??) they took the time to research the issue and explain it to me. Frankly it was not the answer (timeframe wise) I wanted but it was just a situation and they did the best they could. I will go back often and recommend you do the same. read more

I live in Escondido and usually go to the Escondido Golf Mart. I had a Tee time at Torry Pines and needed to stop and get a few clubs repaired and pick up some balls so I stopped into the Encinitas store. Not only did they fix my problem right away, they had the exact balls and tees I play and they had a great selection of new and used clubs. The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. They understand what a good golfer needs and they even let me hit balls while I waited for my clubs. I would highly recommend this golf store to anyone who needs anything for golf. read more

Went in to look for new driver. Spoke to Vic who proceeded to hook me up to the swing machine. 45 minutes later, he had given me all kinds of tips to enhance my swing. Bought new M2 driver & hitting 10 - 15 yds. longer thanks to his great patience in changing my swing. Works on other woods as well. Great place for price & Customer Service. read more

The only store where you can hit used clubs with a luanch monitor that is up coastal north county San Diego. The staff there are very friendly and not pushy. They have your best interests in mind and want to find the right clubs for you. Hitting and trying new demos before they come out allows you to buy the best equipment possible for your game. The staff at Encinitas are the best, at helping you find the perfect clubs to lower your scores. Being a low handicapper, performance is the ultimate value. read more

These guys are so patient and so knowledgeable. I even got a few golf swing tips! Being a female beginner golfer, they never made me feel less than a passionate and curious golfer. read more

I had been playing a hand me down set of irons since 2005. Went away from golf for a couple years but now I'm back in it a lot more playing. Finally pulled the trigger and went in to try out some different irons to fit my swing. James helped me out right away fitting me into the set of Srixons I eventually came to buy. He was very friendly, personable and understood what I was looking for after our talking back and forth about my game and what I wanted out of a new set. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. Amazing customer service. He single handedly has earned my business with this company. I'm looking to upgrade the rest of my clubs now and I'll be back for sure to get help from James. Thank again for a great created a great customer experience. read more

The Golf Mart - Golf simulator - Golf Equipment Near Me - Encinitas, California

Went in to try some of the new drivers. Gary helped me getting the right set up and let me try various brands. Gary is very friendly and knowledgeable and even gave some swing tips. The new drivers ended up no out performing my own driver enough to make a switch worth it at this time. Gray never tried to sell me something that he didn't think was worth it. I will definitely be back to this store for other equipment needs in the future. read more

Lowell was knowledgeable, fun and called a spade a spade This resulted in buying 4 woods Love this store and return policy ...not that I ever returned anything read more

You'll be hard to find another golf store that the employees would rather pull short straws than go help a customer. I suppose its to be expected from a "discount golf supermarket", makes sense the service would match. read more

Came in ready to spend money on a club waited, swung the club, even held on to the club and walked around. They were so ready to leave bc it was the end of the day that no one even gave me the time of day. If there was a negative star I would give it. read more

Went in today in search of a new driver. Was greeted upon arrival and helped by Gary in choosing a driver, testing out, and provided with great customer service! Not only did I get the driver I was looking for, Gary provided some great tips on things I have been struggling with in my swing. Gary is superbly knowledgeable, patient, and a real pleasure to deal with! I also spoke with a couple other employees and they were also friendly and helpful! I recommend this place and will shop here in the future! read more

I bought golf shoes 3 weeks ago. Tried them in the store, maybe a little big. Played a couple of rounds and they seemed like one size too small. Went online to see if they came in a smaller size and they did. Called Golf Mart to see if they could order the smaller size and if their 90 day guarantee applied to shoes also. New shoes arrived within one day, picked them up and NO CHARGE!!! Have never been able to return shoes of any kind. Definitely deserve this 5 star review. They have a great selection of clubs, clothes, bags, and everything golf, too. read more

Got a raise and promotion at work so I thought I'd treat myself to a Scotty Cameron putter. I went to the gallery off the 101 and it was incredible. Lots of one-off putters, but I was looking for a more standard Fastback Select butter. I found it at the Golf Mart and for as competitive a price as you'll find (online and Dicks included). They helped me find just the right shaft length. Their selection of clubs and gear was incredible. Very helpful staff. Check them out, they'll have anything you want. read more

I'd been meaning to post this, and am just now remembering to, but our experience there was top notch. We went to get our kids their first clubs. The staff was extremely helpful, and offered insights into how to get the kids started in the game. They didn't up-sell us or try to force us into a full set. As we were checking out, the gentleman ringing us up gave my kids some tees and a ball and they were so excited. They have earned our business for life and I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for all things golf! read more

Frustrated with my irons, I stopped in hoping to demo a few different irons to compare. I was ultimately helped by Bryan F. He was awesome! Took the time to dial in my needs offering exactly what worked for me. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy. Simply he wanted to make sure I left knowing what I needed to get my confidence back! Was reading reviews and feel the same way. I walk in and no one greets me. I feel intimidated. I am not the best golfer, but I like the sport! And, I spend money on it! I would like to buy new clubs but I don't feel like going to my neighborhood golf store to get them. I went in the other day and had in my mind to buy shoes. I looked at them and after the two men at the counter just stood there ignoring me, I left. I can buy on Amazon with that kind of service read more

Great selection super helpful staff. They have stock on almost anything and if the don't you can get it in a day or 2

This did not seem like a discount store. Prices were rather high. Sales personnel were right there to help, though.

I have recently stopped in to get some new grips put on my wedges and had to come back have them redone as they were so off the mark. I just stopped in to see if they could regrip the set and pick them up b4 they closed- without any hesitation the guy says "nope, can't do it"! He didn't even see how many clubs needed to be done b4 mine, that is 9 hours to have them completed- no explanation or i am sorry we got busy- nothing! Customer service is terrible! read more
