I've visited this place 5-6 times over the past couple of years. The atmosphere is fun and breezy, in general; the decor is cute. That's where the party ends, in my experience. Having tried a handful of the menu items, I find the food bland and perfectly forgettable. The cocktail scene is okay if you don't mind waiting a really long time between rounds. The bartenders seem to have no sense of balancing their attention among customers, so you stand a strong chance of being forgotten about. My last visit to the Goat was definitely my last. I took my child for dinner, at his request, and we sat on the patio. We waited over 30 minutes for our meals. The food was not worth the wait, nor whatever I paid for it. My son's burger arrived minus the one condiment he had requested, so we waited some more for that. After a few minutes of trying to enjoy our mediocre food, the kid and I were over it and ready to go home. That would be no easy endeavor, because our server had vanished. We waited, watched, waited some more...and finally I spotted her near the host stand. I walked to her, debit card in hand, and stated that we needed to leave. While the food is decent but a little over priced, the drinks are incredibly over priced. That's the biggest downfall to this place besides the parking. The atmosphere is fun and we'll go back during the summer for the games and will definitely take out of town guests there for the atmosphere because there is a lot to do. read more

I absolutely love the atmosphere! I had a baby shower in January and a wedding shower in February at the Goat. I scheduled with Jayde several weeks ahead and called prior to events and ordered many of their wonderful appetizers and drinks. Not only did they have everything prepared for my events, at the wedding shower, they had beautiful tablecloths for us to use. The food and service was awesome so now I am planning my daughters high school graduation in May at the Goat. They have a game room for parties to use. Food here is so good. Service was great. Went for lunch had a great burger cooked perfect. Pay extra for the tots they are so worth it and hand made fresh. Get anything with the Guinness cheese dip. Also you have got to try the cheese cake. The place feels out of the way and kinda in a strange spot being inside the apt complex. The inside is very clean. Its worth the time to goto. The goat seems to be a little known gem in the boro. We really like it when we went. The atmosphere seemed great, neat furnishings and style. We ate flatbreads and a wrap, which were both delicious. We ate at happy hour and thought prices were good and even thought prices were similar to others in the boro. We sat outside by the pool and absolutely loved the ambience and peacefulness. The staff was friendly and personable. Ordered cocktails and appetizers that all came to the table at a reasonable time. The staff makes sure to take great care of their tables. The environment is relaxed. There are televisions for sports as well as pool, shuffleboard, and jenga outside with a fire pit. The quoted wait time was met before reached, and they take your phone number so you don't have to stand near the podium to wait for your name. Dinner was served a little longer than expected, but it was all very fresh, and tasty. The experience was worth it and we will definitely return. Wow so many bad reviews. I went here and had the chicken gyro and got it to go. It was Americanized but it was tasty. I thought the staff was pleasant and at the time they were talking about opening the pool, getting a volleyball net up and having some live music. I thought the concept of the place was innovative but a bit off from where I live. It seems a lot of the bad reviews are around the inexperienced servers but it is a new place and maybe they didn't hire veteran servers but I'd give it another chance. I did find it beautiful inside too. Just was weird it's part of some big luxury apartment complex with its own kind of little village but still nice. I think I'll give it another go today and actually eat there. read more

Not a good experience. After my girlfriend raved about this place for 2 weeks. We went in on a Sunday afternoon. They had just ended their Buffett which we did a walk by and did not like much. I wanted a veggie burger. I was told that they didn't have them till dinner. The waitress then just walked away. I found other options on the menu for a vegetarian, she hadn't offered anything, and walked up to the order station and was told to go back to my table and she would be right there. 15 minutes later she was. Had a Black bean wrap. Was not impressed. Even the fries were cold. My girlfriend said this wasn't the experience she had with her other friends. I've visited here 4 times now and I crave the Buffalo Cauliflower so I've brought different friends and each time the food has gotten worse and the service has gotten unforgivable. No smiles, no "we are glad you are here" it's been what do you want and when are you leaving. So today we left once again disappointed and came to our trusty ol' BJ's and were greeted with a smile and the waitress smiled and offered us waters right away and came back to check on us often with a pleasant smile every time. We have been to this place several times! Every time the food is amazing and the staff is great! The ambiance is always pretty spot on aside from some odd acoustics but the reason we return every time is Jillian, one of the bartenders. She is hands down our favorite; she remembers us every time we walk in and is very personable! I am not sure how this place has ever received less than a 5 star review. I have been in the restaurant business for 20 years and this is the coolest restaurant I have ever been to. There are sand volleyball courts, a swimming pool, cornhole boards and this is all before you get inside. Once inside this beautiful building I was warmly greeted at the door (this was 4 times in 5 days btw) my server was amazing each time and I tried multiple dishes over the course of the week in Murfreesboro. The pizza was thin and crispy with just a touch of sweetness in the suace. There were two different kinds of pepperoni battling it out. I had the itallian chopped salad with blackened chicken. The salad was great. Although I would have preferred it be "chopped" and not tossed with mixed greens. That said, it was a perfect balance of flavors. I had the cuban sandwich which was simply amazing. The pickles and relish on that sandwich are making my mouth water as I write this. I cannot wait to gt back to the goat. read more

After several hours of traveling, we decided to stop at The Goat for lunch. We waited at the door for a couple of minutes for the restaurant to open. We were greeted at the door and invited to sit anywhere we liked. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. Our server came over and greeted us again. She was pleasant and nicely dressed. Unfortunately she was not attentive nor knowledgeable about the menu or food preparation. One of our party has a gluten intolerance, and she was informed of that fact. She did not mention that the tater tots had flower in them even after our food allergy person ordered a burger without the bun. This is by no means a fast food restaurant, and at this price point we expect at least some level of awareness about food allergies from the wait staff. Then we were informed that the goat cheese burger that had just arrived at the table did not contain the extra goat cheese because they were out. Out... of goat cheese at a restaurant called The Goat! We ate anyway and were thoroughly underwhelmed by the mediocre food and service. We asked for the check and paid it without complaint. On the way out, I stopped through the restroom. FILTHY!! Did I mention we were the very first table of the day?!! I could understand if it were midnight, but this was 11AM. No soap, dirty sink and toilets, dirty mirror and soap dispenser, I could go on. Wonder what the kitchen looks like... read more
