In times past I would have given this five stars, but our last visit changed all that. The Goat burger used to be FABULOUS because they used to grind their meat in-house, and because it was freshly ground, one could order it rare or medium-rare. Alas, I have been informed of this is no longer the case, they no longer grind their own meat, so by law they must cook it to medium. This law is for food safety, because the greater degree of surface area in the ground meat develops more bacteria, which must be destroyed by longer cooking times. So now their burger is no better than anywhere else, and frankly that burger was the only reason I loved to eat there. So sad. The service is fine, a bit slow but not horrible. I will miss my favorite burger , and don't see any reason to go back. read more

Our server was very nice and the atmosphere was charming. The food was VERY average. There was an additional $3 charge for fries if you did not want to get the chips that came with the burger. However, it turns out the fries were generic - just like the store brand you would buy in your local grocers freezer - and they served a small portion and were not even cooked long enough. We were expecting an order of hand-cut fries - something a little special for the $3 additional charge. The burger was small and additional options for toppings were pricey. The Cuban-pressed sandwich was not good at all. Literally no taste. The chef needs to get a lesson from a Cuban on what that sandwich should be about! It wasn't even close! We would not go to this restaurant ever again and we traveled a good distance to get there. We were disappointed. read more

First timer here from out of town, we found this place on yelp and was sadly so disappointed. First off The restaurant it's self is very nice, we really wanted to like this place but lacked so much common courtesy. For example their grill was broken and we're only serving pizza, appetizers and wings, most places you would go have told you that while you were waiting to be seated(so we could make decision to dine elsewhere) We were already there so we decided to stay, that was our first mistake. The service would be the second disappoint of the night we literally had to ask for ever single thing on the table, including menus (which we had 1 to share between a table of 7), drinks /drink menu,napkins etc, and were made to feel like we were a complete burden on our waitress. Those thing could have been over looked, but the 45-50 min wait with the side of attitude for appetizers foods was icing on the cake, when nicely inquiring about the wait after 40 mins I was told that "the kitchen is backed up, I don't know when your foods coming out, i obviously don't work back there" . The food was ok, nothing special, their cocktails did sound good and the ones we had were very good, enjoyed the craft beer selection. read more

So disappointing. Ordered dinner to-go because we are visiting from out of town and had a long travel day. The So-Cal chicken club would have been amazing if half the ingredients weren't left off and the bun wasn't charred black. My husband's ranch-hand burger didn't have any ranch on it. And, to top it off, the donut holes weren't cooked all the way. There was raw dough in them. The fries and tots were completely cold. Makes me wonder why it took an hour for the order to be ready. Late night spot open past 10pm. It's a little noisy, but you have the option of sitting outside around the fire pit.

This is one of our favorite casual Murfreesboro restaurants. Very clean, friendly, great service. It stays busy so sometimes there's a wait for a table. It is a pub style restaurant with area outside for volleyball and an inside game room with table shuffleboard and a pool table. Plenty of TVs for watching sports. Be prepared to try some of the different takes on traditional sandwiches such as BLT that has fried green tomato on it, or the tater tots with fried pork belly. Yummy! read more

We had three different kinds of pizzas that were very good. But my husband did not like the fish tacos because the pineapple chutney totally overpowered the dish because there was not enough fish. I was very hesitant to come here at first but now I will definitely be returning. The food was excellent I had the blackened fish which was seasoned to perfection. I love The Goat been there a few times. The only reason I'm writing such a low rated review is that fact of wait time. Of course on a Friday night the restaurant will be busy the host at the front said it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine. The wait actually ended up being a 40 minute wait and that is because they skipped our spot and 2 other families got to go in front of me. In my book that's just unexeptable and not professional. I live in the apartment complex where this is restaurant is located and of course I have high expectations because the location is very nice. They definitely were a disappointment tonight and I will not be coming back to the restaurant. The host need to get it together and not skip people in the future that's bad for business and bad for reviews if you count on that to bring people in. I have been going to the Goat for the last 2 years and love this place! When I first started going, they had a crappy manager who didn't communicate with the team. Now they have 2 amazing managers that you can tell care about the staff. I ordered the Baja chicken wrap with a side of sweet potato fries. My food came out fresh, hot, and in a timely manner. My server was Briana and she was very attentive and was knowledgeable about the menu. The Goat painting wall is my favorite thing to look at! They have a variety of paintings of goats that either the servers or regulars have done. It is just starting but it is so cool! HIGHLY recommend this place. You will have great service, delicious food, and an enjoyable atmosphere. read more

Picture it. December 2nd 2021. You're scheduling a holiday get together for your colleagues who haven't seen each other in an office setting since 2019. The Goat Murfreesboro is where you end up having that "you're wondering how I got here" moment. I'll spare you and cut to the chase. The Manager, female, rating 1/10. reason being: this reservation was made 2 weeks in advance. On the night of the occasion, while we're standing in front of her, This manager insist she can only hold the table for 15 mins due to the amount of chairs available In the restaurant. Im a understanding human being, BUT, This was not mentioned on December on 9th when the reservation was made. Furthermore, this manager insist on arguing at 7:20pm that she texted a confirmation earlier in the day (alas...there was no confirmation text) saying they would only hold the table for 15 mins After the reservation time (7pm). According to this manager, this clause is "common for most establishments". I was on premise at 6:58PM. Once again, I'll be frank, the service was fine. Gabby, the server along with the bartenders, were exceptional, but the manager was inhospitable and dishonest. Our company has planned many outings at this establishment in the past, due to the exceptional service, but the consideration will end after this evening. Unfortunately this memory will be a recurring topic for my colleagues and I when reminiscing on our 2021 holiday gathering. read more

We have been to the Goat a number of times over the past 6 months and have always been pleased but this time was a disappointment! The service has always been good however the food this time was very underwhelming. We ordered a pizza for my kiddos that was far too well done. The crust was so crispy/burnt my toddler couldn't bite into it. I had a chicken gyro which really was more just naan with titziki. When it came I was confused because it looked like there wasn't much in it. Upon opening it there really was nothing in it. Maybe four small pieces of chicken not even close to a half of a chicken breast, shredded iceberg lettuce 8 chick peas a few pieces of cucumber and tomatoes, it was quite pathetic. I really wish I would have taken a picture it was a joke and needless to say was sent back. I'm not sure if they have new cooks or what but the food truly lacked and was a disappointment. To be fair we've been to the Goat a number of times and have had good experiences hence the 3 stars and not less. read more
