I've been here several times for both drinks and brunch and I must say I am a fan! I love a good dive bar and The Goat hit all my favorite things! -The decor is fun with $1 patrons have decorated and stapled covering the walls. They have a good vibe with all types of bacon/whiskey paraphernalia. -Live music -Good drink menu -Quick bartenders -TOTS -BUCKETS OF BACON!!!!! You read that right, so much bacon! Anything you order in this place with bacon is delish! They thick cut it and even just the traditional BLT here is bomb. This is primarily a whiskey/bourbon bar and the drink menu very much reflects that. I come here at least twice a month for bunch and it is 100% worth the drive. Checked this place out today with my girlfriend and was pleased to see this place just opened with indoor and outdoor seating as well as 2 or 3 floors not sure to be exact. To begin I will say that my 5 star review is probably a 4 star but still very good if it were not located on Hampton Beach. What you get for Hampton Beach is really good when you stack up to all the other crap in the area not to do this unjust. The decor is in my opinion as good as anything on Hampton minus not having an ocean view.. It has a very country feel to it with live music and a good selection of drinks and burgers. The food was very good I had a standard burger but I was still happy with it and the fries were very good! Also my girlfriend got the blackened green beans which were very spicy but delicious! My only suggestion is that the portions are just massive I don't know how any person could finish all of it.. They could easily give far less and people would be happy and save them some cash as well. Service was attentive and friendly with a couple minor mistakes like bringing some of the food out to early without the rest of the meal which isn't a big deal for a place still fixing it's kinks. Anyhow I would recommend it and definitely return back! It has a unique atmosphere and the food is quality. Used to be the best breakfast around, was very disappointed this year. We come up every summer to hampton and always eat breakfast at the goat. Not sure if it's do to covid staffing issue but the food was terrible. The pulled pork Benny used to be pulled pork mixed in bbq sauce. This year I had two little pieces of pork not pulled and no bbq sauce on each English slice. English didn't look toasted, the eggs were over cooked and not runny. It also came out cold. The tatter tots were good but all in one big clump stuck together. They were nice about it and didn't charge me since I only ate the tatter tots. We enjoyed a meal at the bar on Friday night. I had one of the best burgers I've ever had with delicious hand cut fries. I don't know what their "goat sauce" is, but I'm a fan! My cousin had chicken and waffles and she said especially the waffle was amazing, which you might not expect from bar food. We stayed for drinks and entertainment and had a great time. The bartenders really seemed to be aware of everything going on in the bar, which was comforting for two girls from out of town. The service was friendly and attentive and the drinks were reasonable. The burgers are delicious and come in just about every size or shape you can think of. They also have the option of sweet potato waffle fries that are dynamite! Place was busy as hell one day during a Bruins playoff game. We got on the waiting list & were seated in 20 minutes. Had some beers while waiting, no biggie. After being seated, we ordered the Bacon Flight. Very tasty & unique appetizer. The burger menu is expansive! Can't wait to go back & test all of them out. All the burgers we had were delicious. 6 of us went before a show at the Casino Ballroom. Mid November, we weren't expecting a crowd but it was hopping in this place. A 45 minute wait but we decided to hang in there and head across the street to Wally's for a beer. Got a text about an hour later that the table the ready. Headed over and were seated right away, the staff was super nice and grabbed the beverage orders quick and came back to explain things. The place is pretty small, just a bunch of tables surrounding the bar, TV's all around. Lots of good energy and somehow the dollar bills covering every inch of the walls works for the decor. We placed our orders and the food came out super fast - really surprising considering the crowd. Everyone loved the burgers. In the group, there was a veggie burger, turkey burger, pulled pork, and 3 beef burgers. All were excellent with the pulled pork just getting a "good vote" instead of excellent. Fries were spot on - tater tots were fine...maybe just the regular frozen ones you used to have as a kid though...I was thinking they would be more interesting. Waited 45 minutes for a table only to walk out almost two hours later with just a drink. I came here with my boyfriend and was seated in their upper deck area. This place has plastic chairs for seats that felt like they were going to break. The waitress had to stack two chairs for my boyfriend and said they were having this issue with other customers. We ordered and waited 1.5 hours. When I told her to cancel our order and that we were going to leave she apologized and said that the kitchen had lost our ticket. It took her 1.5 hrs to come to that realization... we told her that they could cancel the order and she brought us the check for the $11 drink... she then proceeded to take an extra 10 min to take the card and finalize the payment. The least they could have done was not even charge us for the drink or at least have the courtesy to speed up the payment. This place is a joke and their customer service suck. I will never be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I will start with the positive, food is good. Negative, service is terrible!! We went twice this past weekend. Friday night for dinner. Bartender served us upstairs, took quite a while to order . Beers are much different between upstairs and downstairs with only can beers upstairs. Bartender did not even know what was available for dressings and then, never brought dressing and when questioned where it was, was told, "oh, we don't have that. Went for breakfast next day and service was terrible as it took well over an hour and a half for breakfast and when asked if our food was coming soon was told by very rude girl that was cleaning tables, "we're busy". Our waitress, we were unsure if she was rude or just overwhelmed. Tables surrounding us were also complaining of terrible service and we witnessed several people walk out. My advice to the manager and owner of this restaurant would be get help that has some customer service and appreciate their jobs. It's a shame as I stated previously, good food but due to lack of customer service I would never visit this establishment again. read more
