This is my new favorite stop, drink & eat place when doing errands in Portsmouth (they are located in Kittery along the way).

I actually would go as far as saying they are underrated in talks of all the breweries in Maine. They have always been a brewery with a vast amount of variety in their styles they brew. Such as IPAs, fruited sours, porters, stouts, lagers, and so many more. Enough variety you could visit and all your party could find their style. They also deserve a lot of credit for being one of the first if not the first in the state to jump on the non-alcoholic train for beers. This has expanded to basically be as varied in style as their usual beers now. I actually enjoyed their NA Mexican Lager and it was delicious and would be a great option for those looking for NA beers. My wife grabbed their NA seltzer and enjoyed it as well. Since that expansion they have also moved into adaptogen beverages as well as CBD/THC drinks too. They keep expanding their portfolio while also doing what they already do so well! Also for non beer drinkers they did have some bourbon and other spirits available as well. Really great options for all who show up! They don't offer food themselves besides some free popcorn, which was seasoned perfectly! Although if feeling like more food swing in next door to Weathervine and grab some food before to pair with your drink. The bartender was very friendly and apologized when my first choice kicked and from his interactions with other patrons it is clear Woodland Farms cares about their customers! A spot my wife and I will make sure to return to sooner rather than later. You should check it out as well!

It's a great spot that has a good amount of books including highly anticipated releases and classics. They were also running a deal if you spent enough you could choose a book from their slightly used books which my wife got to grab a book from and it had some high quality barely used looking books on it! Was a great deal and the staff were all so friendly too. The big plus as you could guess from their name is besides being just a bookstore they also had a bar with a good craft beer tap list. Was a perfect stop for us to grab a beer before continuing our bookstore crawl! We are big fans of the bookstores who integrate of combine other businesses together. Who wouldn't love to grab their next book to read then without needing to leave can sit down and enjoy a beer while starting to read. A spot we will definitely return back to when we find ourselves in Portsmouth!

The meal was very expensive for what it was--served on very thin bread that wasn't properly browned or crispy. Plus, having to pay extra just for tomatoes felt like a nickel-and-dime move. While the menu choices look tempting, after my experience, I wouldn't waste money trying other high-end items like the lobster grilled cheese. The space inside is extremely tight, and the tables are squished so close together you feel crammed in. The restaurant was also kinda dirty, with crumbs scattered across the tables and floor. I actually had to clean off my own table before sitting down. The one bright spot was the service--the staff was good, friendly, and welcoming. Great staff, but between the lackluster, overpriced food and the dirty, cramped space, I left feeling honestly disappointed. Save your money and make your own at home.

My wife and I have close to or more than 1000 dining experiences in our time together. If Cava wasn't the best overall, it was an extremely close second. Our server Dan was awesome from start to finish. On point, Attentive, professional, and exceeded expectations on every level. Cava is a very intimate dining experience with a warm comfortable indoor and outdoor seating option. It is also very practical as a stop before going to the Music Hall, an important date or like us an anniversary. Cava is unlike many of the places we have visited over the years in the food category. Every course was exceptionally prepared, thoroughly thought out and professionally executed with excellent plating. I won't go into detail on every dish but suffice it to say there was enjoyment with every mouthful of every course.
