My wife and I chose a color and Eric brought a sample pained on cardboard and painted a swatch on the house as well. The color we chose ended up being a shade too bright and we called to go down one shade. No fuss no muss Eric started the process over. Now my wife has been ill so she chose a bright cheery color that reminded her of our cruise to the Caribbean. Why does this matter? Funny thing is that when he started one of my neighbors stopped and asked if he had any influence in our color choice. Job done nlm Anyhow Eric spend 2 days power washing scraping and sanding. He gave us a roll of tape and asked us to mark any spots we thought needed attention, there were none. Eric has followed up twice now and is adamant he stands behind his work. And businesses often under-promise and over-deliver (which is rare, and oftentimes a selling point). Well, Ray over-promised and over-delivered (is that even possible?) Our water heater was in its last days and I could tell it was going downhill fast. It was a Thursday evening and I was losing hope that I'd get someone before the weekend hit. Well, Ray to the rescue. He responded via Yelp Thursday night letting me know to give him a call first thing Friday. Well, I did. And Ray walked me through step by step what it's going to look like and that he can come in Friday afternoon to get the water heater replaced. He answered all my questions BEFORE the job, made sure I knew everything I was going to purchase BEFORE he purchased it all. I was in the know and he did not try to sell me anything else I didn't need -- which I always appreciate. In fact, he went the extra mile to offer me different pricings and options for the water heater and its parts so I can pick for myself. He gave his two cents about the parts and the water heater AFTER I asked him about the difference, and not just rambling about his opinions trying to sell us the most expensive ones. Then, he came as promised right around noon and went right to fixing our mess. Got it done in a matter of few hours making it look awesome. Oh, but Ray isn't done after the installation and fix. He made sure to go over every little thing he did so that I wasn't left confused about anything. And he documented it all so I have it for my records. Then, he leaves saying I can let him know if I notice any further problems with it so he can make sure to tidy it up, not that I think I'll need it because he already did an awesome job for us. The job cost us right around what we thought it would cost us and that's always a good thing. A nice cherry on top is that Ray is very personable and is pleasant to talk with and is a people person. Might I add that he had a great attitude--not the kind of attitude that appears he's in it for the money. Nope. That's always the type of person we enjoy doing business with. Thanks, Ray! And it was a nightmare. I couldn't for the life of me get any landscapers to give me quotes, much less perform the work. Out of 17 landscapers contacted I only received 3 quotes. Brady and Casey were right in the middle and gave me options that I hadn't considered. I had a tenant in the house that was basically living with a dead front and backyard.
