My husband called DaBella for Ean estimate on roof repairs or replacement. The sales rep was 1 hr and 10 min late and so we sent him away rescheduled for the next day. This time he didn't show up at all, didn't call my husband, nothing. I had already decided that if he couldn't show up on time the first appointment then this company was already not worth hiring but we decided to try again just for the estimate. If you can't be respectful of our time the first 2 appointments then you definitely don't deserve our business. I want to thank everyone who has left reviews because that solidifies my decision. They do sound like the overpromise and overprice and I can only imagine what the financing would look like. This felt like my solar company (all bad) all over again. If this company calls, RUN! They are high pressure and prey on seniors. Their prices are exorbitant and they lie. They pressure for signatures and a deposit on the spot. I asked for an actual color sample for paint comparison and I was told the color samples belonged to the sales person because she paid for them. My response was, did they pay $60,000 for them because that's what my bill would be. I got a sample....begrudgingly. They don't return phone calls. I spent my whole life in customer service and this company has NONE! The actual laborers were hardworking, pleasant and worked quickly and the end result was great. Even they had stories to tell. My advice? Shop around. Get multiple estimates. They are a predatory company. read more

I don't usually write negative reviews, but after our experience with DaBella, I feel it's important to warn others. We met with a DaBella salesperson in September about replacing our roof. One of our main concerns was finding a company that could handle removing and reinstalling our solar panels, since other roofing companies required us to coordinate that separately at additional cost. Initially, DaBella said they couldn't handle the solar either, but after multiple visits and a lot of persistence, the salesperson offered a deal that included a discount, financing terms, and covering the solar removal and reinstallation. Based on that, we signed a contract. After that, communication became a major issue. Weeks turned into months with no installation date. Every time we called, we were told they were "looking into it" or waiting on permits. Eventually, we contacted the city ourselves and learned no permit had even been submitted--despite being told otherwise. Things only started moving after we pushed hard. Even then, there were more problems. We were suddenly told we'd need to handle the solar removal ourselves, which directly contradicted our agreement. After escalating the issue, a manager stepped in, apologized, and reassured us they would honor the original terms. The solar removal was eventually scheduled, but the first appointment was a no-show, causing my husband to miss work. The second attempt was successful. The roofing crew, however, was the one bright spot--they were professional, efficient, and did excellent work. We are very happy with the roof itself. After completion, we were asked to sign off before receiving final paperwork, which we declined. We were then promised reimbursement for two days of lost wages due to scheduling errors. We are still waiting to see if that promise is fulfilled. Overall, while the final product was good, the experience was frustrating and disorganized, with poor communication and multiple broken promises along the way. I'm not sure how this company has received a 4.8 stars. Maybe they were having a bad year, I'm not sure. I would strongly recommend getting everything in writing and proceeding with caution if you decide to choose them. read more

Had a great experience with Colby Ruesch this time around. Another man came by the day before offering roofing and siding options. I said no to the roof because of our previous experience and estimate but yes to a siding estimate. When Colby came by he asked about the roof of course because ours is very very bad, all the grit is almost gone. I mentioned our previous experience and the quote. He was shocked. Asked me some more questions and then explained that unfortunately one of the guys that came out before was let go because he was giving high estimates to get a bigger commission. I knew this because I worked for a similar company that has people come out make leads, then sales people who get commission. Colby told me the company has since changed this and their sales people are not getting a percentage of the sale on individual homes. This squashes their sales reps from over pricing to get a bigger cut. Definitely helped because this experience was so much better. Colby was kind and not pushy. He informed me that our current estimate is for half the wood being replaced which I asked for because we hope we can reuse about half but if not we are aware there would be an added cost. Its really up to our local inspector on how much wood will be saved. Our estimate is 27k and thats the gold package and after some discounts. This is on point with other roof jobs in our area. We are scheduled for Dec. so its a maybe on it getting done due to weather but will update the review when the job is done. read more

My husband and I decided we wanted a new walk-in shower, DaBella was recommended on a search. 1. The service rep that came out was late, not a good start. But he was friendly and pleasant. He had brought samples so we could pick the products we wanted for our new shower. I picked everything out, he wrote it down and gave me a copy of what I requested, with his personal work phone number if I should have any questions. He promised me an install date and I was very excited to get the project started 2. Never actually called me to set a date and time, I had to call him to remind him. He said he couldn't do the dates promised so I said well I will need to cancel because my husband will be having surgery and no other dates will work. He then told me they will keep my deposit of $1000 and I would have to pay 1/2 the bill due when I cancel which was $9000. I said that's ridiculous, we can go to court. 3. Some how they managed to move things around and come install by the promised date. I ordered white subway tile with grey grout and a rain shower door. They installed plain white cheap looking subway tile and a clear shower door. The workers they sent did not speak English, which is fine, but they installed all the wrong materials!!!!! I was shocked because they said NO speak English. I called the company before the workers left and told them I am not paying for this it is all the wrong materials. The manager was very rude but said don't worry we will fix the problem. 4. After a couple weeks of the run around and ignoring my calls I decided to call a lawyer, and I also called the finance company to tell them the issue, they put a hold on any payments going to DaBella, well that got their attention. They said we will make this right and get you the materials you ordered, but of course we will have to rip out what we already installed to put what you ordered. Very frustrated by all this I told them just come rip it out and find another company. They tried to offer me a $500 discount, I said no way I don't want to live with the ugly shower for the rest of my life. Finally they decided to give a $3000 discount and install the proper materials. 5. This whole ordeal caused so much anxiety for me, but they did fix it, but still put a slightly cheaper style in, which I didn't see till they were done. I told them I need care instructions and my life time warranty papers and they said they would mail them to me in two weeks after first payment cleared. GUESS WHAT..... never got any of that! What a terrible company and horrible work ethic. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING, unless you like to get ripped off and have a huge headache!!!! BEWARE!!! Do not give them your number they will spam you even after you decide to not go with them. Do not go with their first bid, it is outrageous. We talked them down $30,000 dollars from their first bid. We did not go with them because they are over priced and they don't even go on your roof to check it out. Whatever they used to count the roof squares was inaccurate and they called our wood stove chimney a vent. We had reps come out to give us a quote on a bathroom/shower remodel, after stepping out to get the quote together comes back in and tells us the price tag. We said thank you, asked if the info can be sent to our emails but we won't be proceeding with anything today. We are comparing quotes. The guy starts saying he'd like to call his boss to see if he can work out a deal for us. We said "no thank you. We aren't agreeing to anything today. " He insisted again. We said no. Then he said "for legal reasons " he needs to call his boss & tell him he has had the convo with us. We said you can call him we talked but please don't try to finagle a deal. He said ok. Calls the boss & immediately begins trying to work a deal out. We got irritated. Said ok. It's time to go. We asked you not to do that & you did it anyway. So no thank you & get out. Then the company calls me four more times at least within a three day period asking how it went. I said "we won't be doing business with DaBella ever" three times. They charged my Mom $21,500 to redo her shower. Just her shower. Who charges an 80 yr old woman like that. AND not do it correctly. They had to come back THREE times and still her shower doors are not done correctly. They write that they want to learn from reviews etc. BS. How about A. FIX IT CORRECTLY B. DON'T CHARGE ELDERLY PEOPLE LIKE THIS. They had the nerve to send her a bill for $2.00. She paid in full for this to be done, eat the $2.00, seriously? I'll be looking at her warranty. I was approached by a young salesman named Dominik as soon as I arrived home and was getting out of my car. He immediately asked if I lived there with anybody and if my husband was home, which he was not. This gave me pause but I continued on the conversation. He pitched me a roof evaluation and a quote for a new roof. I told him I was interested to hear a quote as we have been considering a new roof in the near future. He said somebody would call to confirm our appointment and headed out. He then came back 3 times shortly after that conversation. I did not answer the first time because I did not hear him but my cameras picked him up. He then proceeded to peek in windows and knock on the windows at me. Which immediately made me feel extremely unsafe as a woman home alone, which he had already confirmed. The 4th time he returned my husband was home and he confronted him where Dominik said he was told to do that by his manager. We checked my communities Facebook page and several other people posted with similar experiences. We feel harassed and violated and cannot believe that their salesman are not only allowed but encouraged to act so inappropriately. Editing to add after businesses response: He stated that "the office" would call to confirm my appointment. I don't really see why, after speaking to him and making the appointment, he would need to return to my house 20 minutes later to then confirm my appointment that I had just spoken with him about. He absolutely did knock on my windows and they were not open. I have the entire interaction on my home cameras. It was inappropriate and predatory behavior. read more

DaBella is the worse company I have ever worked with. First they gave me a quote that was extremely high and even with a Elderly discount it was much highter than other contractors by $15,000. They didn't give us a chance to check other companies. Because I am 78 years old, thely took advantage of me. The said I needed a roof right away and this was in January. They said my roof will leak badly if it starts to rain...... I gave them $1000 as a deposit in January, They were suppose to send a copy of the paperwork immediately, but It took them 4 months and when I called them they did not return my call. After calling them 9 times, I threatened to cancel the contract and get an attorney. I got the Papers around the first part of May. My husband was suppose to be on the loan and they left his name off.... and the work was suppose to be done immedately. They didn't get to it until Late May In Mid May I got a call from a subcontractor who said he was coming out the next day, but we weren't going to be home so they came out that Monday. The Subcontractor was Great. The Hernandez Roofing. was wonderful, but still after they were through they told us they didn't need to sheet our house so we were due a substantial refund. I called DaBella 6 times but they called and said they have a 4 week -6 weeks before we will see anything. I finally got a call and said it was going to be about a $9800 refund but they can't send the money right away...... I asked for a conformation letter.... Still nothing..... I checked prices after we were roped into the cost $30,000 for a 1,000 sq foot house... DaBella was way high...... Customer service sucks big time..... read more

This is my 2nd review of this company. After being in my home over 3 hours and being told that we only wanted a quote at this time. They insisted on setting up (or trying to) financing for us. Never once were we told what the shower would cost. I am disabled and have a chronic anxiety & seizure condition. I endured 2 panic attacks while they were here and they did not care. Very aggressive sales pitch. After two hours we were finally given a quote of 38k for a new roof. That is $29,000 over the going rate in our neighborhood. This is a professional con artist. Their sales pitch is impressive, and knowledgeable, basically a scare tactic of how bad your roof is. Which we know it is. When my husband told him we don't need to go any further, after hearing the estimate, the salesperson became indignant. He claimed we were not letting him do his job. Then he asked if we were wasting his time!!! To make matters worse, he called his boss and miraculously had the fee lowered to $20k. I'm done and walked away. We live in a mobile home park, there is a sign that says no soliciting. Their salesmen come in after hours to solicit, once the manager is gone. read more

But after an hour and a half, they still hadn't presented the quote. One of them kept asking about my credit rating and talking about financing options, even though I told him 4 times that I would not be financing the work. I cannot say anything positive about my brief experience with this firm. I own a home in a rural town in the Northern California with not a lot of of local roofing contractors to choose from. My roof is not leaking but due to its age I wanted to get it inspected and either repaired or replaced. I don't usually sign up for on-line services that connect you to contractor(s). But I did, and within 10 minutes of submitting the form I received a call from DaBella in Redding, Ca. They asked the basic questions about my roof type, condition, etc. So far so good. They even said that they were going to be inspecting a house that is within 30 minutes of mine and suggested a date and time to meet. I advised then that this was a vacation home and I don't live in the area so could not meet with them. Almost instantly, they hung up. When I called back to inquire why that information would cause them to be so rude as to hang up, I was told that their policy requires someone to be there who could make a financial decision about repairs. When I replied that I could easily be reached to discuss their estimate by phone, they would not budge, stating this is their policy. A policy that would appear to only be necessary if you were going to exert the aggressive sales tactics which others have noted in their reviews. After going back and fourth with the bank they sent a copy of the paper that acknowledges it was done and it was not my signature!
