My mother had her roof done by Sunrise Roofing in 2015. The roof looked great and all was well, until she tried refinancing her home this year. Turns out there is a violation code on her title. Sunrise Roofing never had the final inspections done on the roof. So now we are currently at Shasta County Building Permit Center paying a total of just under $550 to get them to come out and inspect the roof and cancel the violation and her closing for her refinancing of the home is pushed out until all of this is taken care of. I have tried calling Sunrise Roofing multiple times to talk to them about this and they have not answered. read more

We recently had our roof replaced by Sunrise Roofing, and overall, we're very pleased with their work. The crew was prompt, efficient, and handled all of our extra requests--like replacing leaking skylights and removing a broken rooftop swamp cooler--without any issues. When a different county inspector flagged some additional items that weren't part of the original inspection, the team returned quickly to fix them, which we really appreciated. The only downside was communication. Since we received the quote through our realtor, we weren't on-site during the initial assessment to discuss issues and preferences directly with the roofer. A kick-off meeting or call would have been helpful to go over our options, ask questions, and get a better sense of the timeline. We were always playing catch-up with questions and requests because we got a days' notice for tear off (which is understandable with winter weather of course). Additionally, there were a couple of instances where the crew arrived without prior notice, and it was just luck that someone was home to put the dogs away. Despite the communication, the quality of work was excellent, and they addressed every concern we had. We'd recommend Sunrise Roofing to others, but if you have unique issues like we had, we'd also suggest being proactive in setting up a conversation about expectations after you receive the quote, and before the project begins. read more

My insurance required a new roof for fire mitigation, and having seen Sunrise Roofing in the neighborhood, I gave them a call. Robbie came out immediately, gave an estimate that was beyond fair and was patient while I dealt with finances. When it was time to begin, they showed up super early, worked till it started getting hot, then came out the next morning and finished. They did great work and really went above and beyond. The current storms caused some water damage in my house. It was difficult to identify the specific reason for the water intrusion (high wind driven rain, the roof, the gutters, etc.). I reached out to Sunrise Roofing to see if they could take a look at the problem and provide me with a potential diagnosis and estimate for any repairs. Robby corresponded with me and let me know he would be able to come out at 7:30 in the morning to take a look. Although I didn't have expectations of any repair work being done (just taking a look), when Robby arrived (on time), he was well dressed for the occasion. I showed him the issue and after looking at the area from in the house and on the ground, he said he had to get up on the roof. Within minutes he was on my steep pitched, concrete tile roof, in the pouring rain. Keep in mind, he didn't change clothes. Within a few more minutes he was down off the roof letting me know what he saw. He was able to remove some debris build up he found. While he was on the roof, in the pouring rain, he took pictures to show me. He showed me a picture of a cracked tile and I asked him what he recommends to fix it. He then showed me another picture of how he repaired the cracked tile while he was on the roof. I asked him how much I owed him, and let me just say...the price was unbelievable (in a good way). I came to find out that Robby was so well dressed because he had a meeting scheduled with a group of realtors after he left my house. Not many people would do what he did. He squeezed me into his schedule and was willing to help me out at the cost of going to an important meeting soaking wet. Without a doubt, Robby is a solid dude and runs a solid company! read more

Great service!! Sunrise did an excellent job on our roof. They were on time, gave a fair price, and the roof looks beautiful! After this last big rain, we had a leak. Rob came out right away and found that the person who installed the gutter and the guy who put in the satellite dish each caused damage to the roof. He fixed the damage that was done by the other companies and refused to accept compensation. I have owned many homes and worked with many contractors and Rob of Sunrise roofing is one of the best I have worked with. He is honest, reliable, and good at what he does. When I asked for a quote to replace our roof he got back to me quickly with a clearly written statement of what they would do and for how much. Despite being in tremendous demand, he is very responsive to questions and very clear about their availability and the timing of when the work will be done. Most important to me, he does what he says he will do and when he says he will do it. In my case, I had to delay the work for a number of months and was pleasantly surprised that he was willing to honor his initial quote despite the delay and a significant increase in the demand for their services. I am also very grateful for the extra work they did repairing some problems that were found as part of an inspection. Many contractors would have used that work as an opportunity to increase their bid significantly but Rob and Sunrise did it as part of the job and refused to accept any additional payment; despite my offering to pay them extra multiple times.
