Found this gem on social media and decided to give their first Buffett night of the season a try. We were not disappointed. We arrived at 5pm and quickly realized this place is popular. We waited for an hour. I suggest arriving early if you don't want to wait. It was a lovely evening so my husband and I sat on a bench outside and admired the scenery. The town is quaint and the vibe is super chill. Staff were attentive and polite. Seems to be family owned and ran place with an assortment of kids and teens helping in the kitchen and busing tables. They did run out of desserts but the waitress who helped us said that she had served 75 tickets in the first 1.5 hrs they were open so we didn't hold that against her. As tasty as the food was I'm sure the desserts were amazing hence the shortage. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The Rahm Schnitzel was my personal fav and my husband got the Jager Schnitzel. The live accordion music only added to the ambiance. If you're up for a scenic drive and some delicious German food plan ahead and come on down. This place is a diamond in the rough. read more

Went in for dinner with a fairly large group 12. Service was good, and she did a fine job. Sort I didn't catch her name. I had the wurst plate that had red cabbage and mashed patotes as my sides. My wife had the snitzel with the German potato salad. Everything was tasty. The atmosphere was a little loud. Big open room Good place to try. read more

A very down-home feel and classic German dishes greet you here. The people were amazing. Long tables for large groups and smaller tables are both available. There was a significant wait to get a table, because we were there during a Christmas market, but it was well worth the wait! If there is cheesecake on the dessert menu, GET IT!!! IF you served in the Military in Germany.. this is the place you want to visit for food. Like being in a small town in Germany for dinner or better. I was stationed in Mannheim and I can tell you this is as good as it gets.... UNLESS you married a German girl who can cook. The food, people and atomopshere are TOTAL German... promise. Great German food. We had 4 different entrees and everyone was well satisfied. German mustard made in house was delicious. I wished they sold it. If you like sauerkraut theirs is perfect. Not too sweet, not to sour. Save room for dessert. Bread pudding and apple dumpling was the perfect end to a great meal. And most important the service is outstanding. Very good German food. Is tops among German restaurants in the vicinity including Kansas City. They source much of their food locally including a bratwurst that is excellent! The atmosphere is a fun, open "beer hall" room in an historic building in the old downtown area. Dining is also conducive to private dining parties with plenty of separate tables. Really nice German restaurant in an immaculate small town. I drove 22 miles to eat here and will be glad to do it again. Excellent German menu with standards like Schnitzel, Spaetzle and two kinds of German potato salad. Special of the night was Spargel (white asparagus) soup, really well done. With Warsteiner German beer on tap I didn't have room for the Black Forest cake. Gives me a reason to go back! read more

We went to the German Table on our way back from the pottery in Stover. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was superb. Our only complaint is that the beer isn't cold enough. The restaurants around us keep their bottled beer in ice. We will be back, but won't get beer again. read more
