When they came out, I was disappointed to see that they were shoestring style fries, since shoestrings are typically a bit too crispy/overcooked for my liking, but I must say, these were the best shoestring fries I've ever had. The garlic parmesan seasoning put it right over the top. They were also the perfect crispy outside, tender inside that I love in a French fry. Again, shoestrings usually aren't tender inside, but these were. This is a great little restaurant just a short distance from the lake house we stayed at. We chose coleslaw for our sides. It was flavorful - a bit creamier and heavier dressed than our personal preference - but tasty. Also on the buffet were a couple of vegetables of the day, when I went it was corn on the cob and fried okra. I didn't understand why they would put out whole, foil wrapped baked potatoes and halved, 'twice baked' potatoes as the only two starch selections. That could have been thought out a bit better. Decent salad selection; green salad, a couple of mayonnaise based vegetable salads, some fresh fruit and for dessert, banana pudding or the sheet cake of the day. There was loud, explicit music playing right next to the kids' area while intoxicated adults were grinding on each other in the pool. It felt more like a spring break free-for-all than a place you'd want to take your family.
