had the pleasure to dine at the Goins Lincoln Inn twice during a recent visit to the area. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was amazing! The first night I had the stuffed mushroom appetizer as well as the garlic cheese curds, then bacon blue burger. Others in my group had the garlic infused ribeye and the pork loin. All of us LOVED our food. The next vist was on the Friday when they have either all you can eat catfish as well prime rib. Everything was top notch. portabella mushrooms were not what the previous owner served, they were always great and you got 2 times the amount new owners serve. new owners seemed like grease was old, they were heavy and dark in color and tasted greasy. alfredo pasta was just ok, green beans were beautiful in color but were not done, still crisp. then husband's chicken fried steak was over cooked, very dark on outside and dry inside, he did not eat, when he told waitress it was over cooked. Then owner's daughter came out and said she was sorry, did not ask if they could cook another one for him. I asked if we could get adjustment, said she could not do that but could offer piece of pie. That did not make the experience any better, expensive piece of pie, oh he said baked potato was good. Another big complaint I have is new owner is using good reviews from previous owner, doesn't seem right. New owner has only been open a little over a month, look at the dates on the reviews for yourself! read more

Terrible place to go. Appetizer was cold. Food was horrible. Got prime rib asked for medium rare came out well done. Never got checked back on. Drinks were never refilled. When we first got there took 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Service royally sucked. Will never go back. I do not recommend. read more

Pricey, but sadly the best Lincoln has to offer. Small town has few options, so if you want to dine out, it's lincoln Inn or drive to Sedalia, which is the better option if time and miles are of little consequence. read more

This restaurant is a family owned business and it's hands down amazing comfort food. The atmosphere is very much family oriented. The wait staff is very nice and seemed to be on it even with the amount of people they were handling. This place gets packed fast. We always go when we are traveling through to visit family. Tried this place last night for the first time. We'd tried to go in the past but they weren't open on both Thursday evenings we attempted to go. We had the sampler platter and was unimpressed. All of it was heavily breaded (mushrooms, onion petals, and spicy cheese bites) and you couldn't really taste anything but that. We both had the specials. All you can eat catfish was decent. The breading is kind of bland but the servings are good. The prime rib was over cooked for medium rare and watching the cook handle the slice of meat with his hands multiple times and then touch a dirty rag about grossed me out where I couldnt eat it. The highlight was the enormous baked potato that was loaded with bacon and cheese and very enjoyable. All of this and we won't go back because they allow smoking. Too bad because there isn't a decent steakhouse anywhere in the Warsaw/Lincoln area. read more

This is a great dinner. Cozy and welcoming. They have a full bar and lots of choices for appetizers and dinners. We had three very different dinners. My daughter has the sirloin, it was cooked perfectly over an open flame. My mother ordered a philly and said it was one of the best she has had. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was so big! I cut it in half and half again to eat one half. My dad ate the other half and my fries! It was amazing and cooked perfectly. read more

My husband and I stopped in for the first time for a late Saturday lunch. We both enjoyed our 8 oz. garlic ribeye dinners with salad, baked tater, and Texas toast. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the flavor was great! Portion sizes were good, especially for a $12.99 steak dinner. Not sure why the ribeye dinner was a dollar less than a ribeye sandwich, but I'm not complaining. Our waitress was very attentive and provided great service. Next time I'm in the area, would definitely enjoy another ribeye dinner! read more

Kathy B was our server and she made the best of a less than great situation. The cook had called in sick so she was handling the entire dining room by herself. It was busy and there were some delays, but she did a good job. But, then they were out of the two things I looked forward to ordering - the prime rib and pork chops. So, the KETO plan went down the drain. On the other hand, the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. LOL! I could have ordered the ribeye like my boyfriend but they are usually way too fatty for my liking. I tasted his and it was delicious. It didn't look overly fatty either. I'll go back next time we're down there. Everything was reasonably priced and the atmosphere doesn't require any fancy dress up clothes. I've lived in Lincoln my entire life and I've eaten at Rick's several times growing up. I always used to love going there when I was a kid, the staff was always nice and friendly and the food -at least for children- was adequate. But, that was when Rick was actually the owner. Now, with the new owner, service is on a downhill spiral, I've showed up and seen one of the managers drunk before. The food anymore is not good and EXTREMELY over-priced. We tried this place last year and the result was disappointing but this year every time we go by this place it is packed so we decided to give another try . My wife ordered the ground beef dinner cooked medium rare . It was barely cooked at all . I Ordered the 8ounce Ribeye Medium rare . It was the tough and loaded with gristle . I also ordered my salad with raspberry vinegarette dressing, I got ranch . Coffee was never refilled one time and service was rushed and poor . My advice is to go to Northtown grill ten miles south in Warsaw. They have the best food in the area and their steaks are as good or better than JB Hooks or Baxter's on Lake of the Ozarks . Why the Lincoln Inn is packed is a mystery to me . I will not eat here again . read more

Friday night all you can eat catfish. Way too much breading for us, and seemed like an unusual breading for fish. Service started off slow, but got better. Would not get the catfish again, but hear their burgers are good. read more
