For our second Segway tour with Garage OTR we did the Holiday Glide with Santa. Our guide, Brent (I mean Santa) was great! Great bike store and service shop! Nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient staff. Josh was able to fix my bike tube within an hour, and a couple other adjustments he noted would help the bike run better which I really appreciated. Seems like most fixes can be finished same day if you get there early or next day which is incredible. It's right in OTR so you can explore shops, bars, and restaurants nearby if you have a couple hours until your bike is ready. They have a store with a wide variety of bikes (custom bikes, ebikes, etc) and bike accessories, and the service shop is next door. This is definitely now my go-to bike repair shop. read more

You were both so kind, so professional, so patient, so knowledgeable, and so much fun. I did the riverside tour and highly recommend it. It was a gorgeous ride. As for the Segways I had never been on one in my life and I'm known for being clumsy. It took approximately 5-10 min with instructor help to get comfortable and after that I was zooming around on my own in no time. Seriously, it's super easy. The Segways are incredibly intuitive. This is a bucket list item! Do it! I am already thinking about doing another tour. My only regret was not bringing cash with me for a tip. I reeeeally appreciate how great the guides were. On Thursday afternoon I went on my first Segway tour of Eden Park as part of a team building event with my employer. Our team of 12 met up in the Mirror Lake area, went through a safety & training session - the video is quite funny. Then our guides worked with each team member getting them comfortable with the Segway before our tour. I was really nervous but our guides were friendly and made everyone felt comfortable on the machine prior to leaving on the tour. Then we were off riding around Mirror Lake, up the hill to Krohn Conservatory, up to Eden Park Overlook to the Cincinnati Vietnam and 9/11 memorials and the Presidential trees. The tour was very informative learning new things about Cincinnati history. I highly recommend The Garage OTR and their team for showcasing our city in a fun, innovative way in town for a small group or team building event. read more

We went on a Segway tour around downtown Cincinnati last night, and it was one of the best things ever. I've never been on a Segway before. Luckily, I'm a freak athlete and picked it up in no time. I was a real Evil Knievel out there (aka Dennis). Best part of that, our tour guide didn't mind my wild (though safe and responsible) antics. Speaking of tour guide, let's talk about Ricky for a minute. Ricky was the man. I've had a lot of tour guides for a lot of different tours in my life, but Ricky was the cream of the crop. Not only was he turbo fun and super knowledgeable about Cincinnati (and the elusive Segway market), but he was incredibly accommodating and took all kinds of stupid pictures and videos for the family. He even went above and beyond by posing for a Charlie's Angels picture with my brother and me. If I could give Ricky 10 stars, I would. For now, 5 will have to do. After being given Living Social coupons for Segway tours for Christmas, my boyfriend and I decided we might as well use them (although I was pretty nervous to ride a Segway). We booked for a Friday afternoon on the Riverfront tour. Upon arriving we were given a helmet and a safety vest. Three instructors went over safety and helped each person individually get acquainted to their Segway. This was so beneficial. All the instructors were extremely nice and calming -- especially after I mentioned that I was nervous. Bill went over the mechanics with me and told me to trust the machine. Our large group of 14 was divided into two groups. I was a part of the seven that was lead by Bill. It was a great experience -- he was extremely knowledgable and just seemed to enjoy his job. I never felt rushed on the tour (as I thought that I would). Even after living in the Cincinnati area for most of my life, Bill introduced us to a lot of new history that we weren't familiar with. My boyfriend and I are already planning when we can go on the Eden Park tour. I cannot recommend this experience enough -- you have to try it! read more

It must've been at least 20 years since my husband and I bought our last bikes, and realizing we are not as young as we used to be, decided purchasing electric bikes made a lot of sense. After doing a good bit of research, we wanted to check out the Medeo bikes made by Gazelle. We couldn't find a bike shop in Louisville that carried the Gazelle brand, but fortunately the Garage OTR did. We called ahead so Shawn was expecting us and had the bikes ready for us to take on a test drive. The bikes were as good as I expected, and the customer service Shawn gave us was even better. He made sure the tires were fully inflated, the bikes were adjusted to fit us perfectly, and he helped us get the right gear to go with the bikes. We also needed a bike rack; Sean recommended a Hollywood rack that could handle the weight of two electric bikes. He and a coworker installed the rack on the back of our SUV, making the needed adjustments to fit our bikes. We couldn't be happier with our purchase; even happier knowing, if we have questions or need any help in the future, we can count on Shawn and the Garage OTR. read more

About a month ago, we did the Riverfront Segway tour, it was outstanding. The tour guide was informative and the segway riding was fun. Was also organized very well, as the beginning of the ride, you didn't have to deal with much pedestrian traffic, and by the time that you did (towards the end of your tour), you'd developed some confidence/ability on your segway to effectively deal with it. To be fair, we had a private tour, as there were only 3 of us (my wife, my son, myself) signed up at this time, so it made it even better. Last night we did the Spring Grove Cemetery Tour. It's a really nice tour. It was a bigger group than the last time we did segways (I think it was about 10 people), so we had two "guides", both we friendly and helpful. The tour was informative and fun and you got a lot of good riding time in. Well worth it. We want to do the other Cincinnati Segway tours, so we'll be coming back read more

After getting tangled up with Cincinnati's recessed trolley tracks, I was pretty sure I had some damage to my rear derailleur. Being on vacation without the right tools, was looking for a quick repair. The Garage was open on Sunday, I consulted with the repair guy over the phone and brought it in on Monday afternoon, fearing I would have to do without the bike for the rest of my vacation. Despite his huge backlog, he confirmed my diagnosis and repaired my bike WHILE I WAITED. Then he charged me way LESS than an emergency repair should cost. All the while, professional, courteous and answered my questions. He even lubricated the appropriate parts without me asking. I rode the bike the next day, the repair left me better than before the damage. Please use this establishment for bike repairs! read more

On Sat April 28, 2018 around 7:30 I was visiting Cincinnati from Dayton. I was on Rosa Parks St slowly turning right onto Freedom way. There was a segway tour on the same corner, waiting on the crosswalk light to turn so they could cross the street. The tour guide( older guy, shoulder length or so grey hair), with both hands, slammed his hands onto the side of my vehical, yelling at me. I stopped several feet away and he and the tour crossed the street. Once they crossed the street he came to where i had stopped, only on the opposite side of the street, and continued yelling at me. A short time later I was up near fountain square where about 100 or so ft ahead of me the same guy flies out into the street, outside of the crosswalk, right into traffic, causing several cars to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting him as well as the memebers of the tour who followed him. Upon returning home I looked over my car to discover the mans handprints as well as scratches on my car. read more

My 86-year-old dad and I took our first Segway tour today. We did the Riverfront tour with Max as our guide, and it was outstanding. Max was patient with us while we got the hang of steering, even though he had to repeat his instructions a couple of times. :) Max had lots of informative and entertaining stories about the city, and everyone in the group learned something new. It was a little crowded on the sidewalks as we headed back because it was nearing lunchtime, but most people that we passed had a smile and a wave. It's obvious that the Segway crew is on good terms with people in the city. I highly recommend this tour, and look forward to booking another one soon! read more

I booked a tour online for my husband and myself. We went to the shop and explained that my husband had been feeling dizzy most of the day and we were unsure as to whether it would be safe to ride. The owner (Shawn) was there and assured us that it would not be and didn't hesitate to offer a refund. I decided to go alone on the tour. It was only three on the tour as the other three who had made a reservation didn't show up. This was my third time on a tour-the other two in other cities a year ago. The tour was enjoyable and Max was a great guide. He watched out for our safety and was very informative about the area. Thank you all for such an enjoyable trip. Recently took one of their segway tours with a group for orientation-bonding. As someone with a triple-A personality, saying I have control issues is an understatement. Despite all that- the staff at the Garage went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and ready for an amazing afternoon. They spent a significant amount of time beforehand individually working with everyone in the group until we were all on the same page. The tour itself was mainly in the OTR area and around the Ohio River. There were stops every 5-8 minutes highlighting landmarks or interesting sites downtown. Our guide was highly educated on Cincinnati history and even taught some of our group who've been born and raised in the city a few things. The routes they took provided spots and views I didn't know existed in the city. The landscapes were beautiful and the segway a great way to take it all in. Definitely a great way to spend a few hours with a group of friends- check them out! read more

I was so glad they started the trip with one on one training, because it really does take a while to get used to these crazy machines. My husband and I really enjoyed this experience! We learned a lot about Cincinnati and we got to have a lot of fun on the Segways! Personally, I am not a dare devil, so it was a little stressful at first as I envisioned myself falling off the Segway. But, as soon as I got used to it and gained a little confidence, I had so much fun! Personally, I loved the parts of the tour when we were in parks because I found driving around downtown stressful as you have to dodge cars and pedestrians. We did the riverfront tour, and a good portion of that tour is driving from the office to the riverfront, which involves driving around downtown, crossing roads, and dodging pedestrians (who might not be considerate enough to move out of your way, even if you clearly don't know what you are doing with the Segway). After you get to the riverfront, it is smooth sailing for a while and it is so much fun! At this point you will probably feel a lot more comfortable with the machine so you can relax more. Then at the end you have to go back through the downtown area to get back to the office. I don't know if the Eden Park tour perhaps has less downtown driving time. If it does, it would be a better option for the less daring traveler. Our tour guide was funny, kind, and informative. He really knew what he was doing with the Segway, and helped us avoid many mishaps throughout the ride. I highly recommend this very unique way to experience a new city, and gain a fun new skill! I took the Eden Park tour with my dad. We had both been on segways before but it is not too difficult to learn. I will say that this ride was more technical or challenging than others I've been on but don't let that deter you. It's totally doable. The tour was a fun ride and informative. Jake was our guide. I've lived in Cincy my whole life and didn't know most of the info he told us. Also Jake was always calm, cool, and collected no matter what was thrown at him (a young girl wiped out but she is fine). His quiet confidence helped the riders build their own. We took the River tour with Jodi and what an unforgettable experience! When we walked in we were immediately treated like we've been there before! All staff was very friendly and welcoming. You watch an 8 minute video on safety and basics of the segways (or whichever transportation you choose) then a brief 1 on 1 lesson and then you're off! It is a perfect way to see the sights of Cincinnati and in around a 2 hour period! We will definitely be back to do more tours! read more

We did a Segway tour with these guys which was great! Our guide was knowledgeable and witty, and we got up and running on our Segways pretty quickly. Their safety video is also enjoyable to watch and very well done (unlike most). The only downside is in how much you're sort of parented throughout the tour. You have to wear bright neon yellow safety vests, which (unless you weight more than 200lbs) are way too big, and you won't have much opportunity to really open up the segway and play around. You'll also need to travel in single file line most of the tour. read more

It took (3) tries to finally take part in the Riverfront Tour due to the weather, which was frustrating. Otherwise, I have no real complaints! Our Tour Guides were super friendly and very helpful. The views along our trail were awesome and riding the segways were just sooo much fun. I went with (12) folks from my group (Do-It-All-Crew) and EVERYONE had a lovely time.
