Recently moved to Cincinnati from Washington DC where my main transportation was biking all around the city. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to biking in Cincinnati but I decided this past month to fix up my bike that's been sitting in the basement and get out there! Living in Northside, I've heard a lot of good things about Spun Bicycles so took my baby (the bike) down to the shop. I was greeted by Dom, the owner, with a huge smile and an energetic energy. I instantly felt welcomed and taken care of as he grabbed my bike to check it out. A little air in the tires and a little fixing up random parts on my bike, no more than 10 minutes later, my bike was ready to hit the road!! Dom welcomed me into the neighborhood, told me about events going on around town, and showed me some of the custom bikes he's working on. He's so personable and truly has a love for biking that shines through. He's my new go to guy for all things bike related so I couldn't be happier he's just down the street. Thanks y'all!! read more

We were greeted right away at the door by a masked worker who listened to the problem, disinfected the bike, took it inside, and had it diagnosed and repaired in about 10 minutes at a very reasonable price. Just as the pandemic was hitting in March, I went to Judi and Dom for a long-overdue new set of tires and a tune-up. Their safety measures were way ahead of the curve, and super reassuring -- curbside drop-off and pickup, bleach spray, and masks before masks were cool! Seriously, they were really on-point with that stuff, and the tires and work were outstanding. My bike's been in excellent form ever since. Even better, a couple weeks later when my five year-old son's chain started slipping, we knocked on SPUN's door, and they tightened it up free of charge in about five minutes! My son was starting to get frustrated with his malfunctioning bike, and SPUN turned that frown upside down. It was incredibly sweet. Best bike shop in town! read more

As a small business owner I have a passion for what I do and can quickly recognize this in others. I pulled up to Spun today and had the privilege of seeing Dom helping a family with a child's bike. He was so excited for the family and eager to help them find just the right bike. This bike shop made me feel really good about being new at cycling. I took apart my bike to paint it and then had no clue how to put it back together. These guys not only put it back together for a sick good price, I also gave them the opportunity to upsell me a couple times and they instead gave me better more affordable options for additions to my bike. This is the least pretentious most comfortable shop I've been into. I've been to a few that didn't make me feel very welcome. Spun is the anti that. read more

Dominic and Judi, along with all the folks who fix folks' bikes, are dedicated and committed cyclist-enthusiasts (they ride everywhere and were married on a bike!), and they really know their stuff when it comes to all things bike. I was involved in a motorist-bike accident (I was on the bike) in April, and Judi worked tirelessly to ensure claims adjusters had estimates; her effort is very much appreciated. Had a shifting problem with my Spun Masi Giaramondo while on the Ohio-Erie Trail. Milford bike shop could not fix. Took the bike back to Dom and Judi who were very apologetic that I had my ride interrupted. Dom worked on the bike, swapping out several parts and ultimately decide to contact Masi and persuade them to replace - with an upgrade! Dom and Judi then refitted as my original touring configuration - all at no charge! Dom even let me use his bike while I was in town and my bike was unavailable. I've patronized 1/2 dozen bike shops over the 25 years I've been riding. Spun is the best hands down! Very knowledgeable people, good prices, and unparalleled customer service. I just recently made my most important bike purchase of this year from Spun: a Burley Bee trailer to haul my grandson around in. They did not have it in stock (I didn't expect them to), but it only took a couple of days for them to order the trailer and have it arrive in their store. I was surprised to see that Spun had already set up the trailer so it was ready to use when I picked it up. You do not get that kind of service from the large retailers. I had 2 vintage Schwinn bikes and Spun cleaned them up, tuned them up, and replaced the tires in a short period of time, and the customer service was excellent! Judie, one of the shop owners, told me she could order it for me free of charge and have it in a week. Four days later, I got a call telling me my bike was there, built, and ready to go.
