Had been hearing a lot about this place, so I decided to finally give it a try. The pizza is good -- no complaints there -- but I do think there are other spots in the area I'd personally choose first. Still, I'm glad I tried it. One thing that stood out right away was the size. I ordered a large for pickup and the box alone caught me off guard -- it's huge. The slices are massive, definitely bigger than your typical pizza, so you get a lot for what you pay for. I also ordered the Old Bay wings. They were flavorful and solid, nothing over the top but definitely good. Overall, a good experience. While I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it, it's a solid option to keep in rotation.
Solid meal! Overall, we enjoyed the 14" $16 Meat and Spaniard pizzas along with two juicy IPAs. I may try making my own custom pizza next time. Love that the Garage is on Toast local too-- always great to accrue reward points. Definitely will be back for happy hour and as our local go-to spot!
Ok, wife was NOT onboard as we were parking, and she picked it. As we go inside and she sees the beer list SOLD, totally on board. Nick, our server was great answering questions and pointing us in the right direction. We settled on a Porter and Octoberfest with a white pizza, the Spaniard. Really good!! No sauce, a little salty from the olives and artichoke. Bathroom was clean, no frills. Recommend giving this place a shot if you like beer, pizza and sandwiches. This is not a get dressed up place, but seems like a Great hangout, relax and enjoy place. Enjoy!!
I stopped here for lunch on a Sunday when driving through the area and I'm so glad I did! I snagged a seat at the bar, luckily, because the tables both inside and outside were full. The bartender was prompt and friendly. He took my order within a few minutes and the food was out within 10-15. I had the crispy chicken cob salad. The chicken was two large, crunchy pieces. They were juicy and flavorful. The rest of the ingredients in the salad were fresh, including the slices of avocado. The white balsamic dressing was tart and refreshing. They have TVs around the bar that were playing spots when I was there. The counter is wide enough to comfortably enjoy your meal and not bump into anyone on either side of you. Parking is plentiful and spacious. Definitely worth a stop in!
This was our first time visiting the actual location and it was super cute! There's bar seating inside and a few tables outside, which is nice. They have a huge selection of beers, but you do have to scan a QR code to see that menu--food menus are available physically though. The servers were really friendly and attentive. We each got a sandwich and shared an order of wings. I personally would've preferred the wings to come out first before the sandwiches, but everything still tasted great. Overall, everything was really good and we'll definitely be back!
This was our second visit to The Garage and we really enjoy it. They are a small space, but have a ton to offer. We enjoy sitting at the bar, but they have tables and seating both inside and outside. They're wings and steak and cheese were really good. The wings were crispy and full of flavor. The steak and cheese was perfect for sharing with the wings and is a perfect combination with beer. I saw a lot of people ordering pizza, and it looked delicious. We'll have to go back and try. The Garage has a ton of drink options and caters to just about everyone. Everyone working there is very pleasant and efficient. Great spot to check out if your in Frederick.
This place is back in a business park near the airport. We went on a rainy day so no outside seating but it had picnic tables and a garage door to the inside. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of beers and a 14" sausage and mushrooms pizza. The pizza was great. I can see why it gets high marks. We will definitely be back for another pie. Service was ok. It was busy. I tend to like bartender's that interact more, that's just me.
Kiddo and I went to The Garage yesterday for our monthly date and the food there did not disappoint. Service is great and attentive. Kiddo had the spicy buffalo chicken Caesar wrap and I had the Reuben. When they said Spicy it really means Spicy - we love it. Both are very good paired with their homemade chips. Wow! I've complained for years that our local town just doesn't get it on pizza. We have some great crusts but the typical top shelf pizza place skimps on ingredients- even on a pizza designed to be loaded up. Trading 65,000 miles around the country in the last 4 years I've had what is considered the best pizza in a number of towns and states. I had given up on Frederick until we had this gem. Amazing crust cooked just the right amount of time and as you can tell there was no skimping here. Also not just thrown together but they took some time. Frederick pizza has been redeemed!
Ambiance The Garage in Frederick, Maryland, is exactly what it sounds like, a real garage turned into a casual hangout. Plenty of beer on tap, a steady weekend crowd, and a busy energy on a fall Saturday afternoon. There is some indoor seating, although it was packed when I came in. The vibe feels lively and relaxed. Some outdoor seating with a lamp if the weather is in the 60s. Food: I only tried the loaded tater tots $8 and a single truffle fry, and the tots were excellent. They were crispy and topped with more care than the usual bar version (not just random shredded cheddar cheese and too much sour cream). Tzatziki sauce, slightly pickled red onions, green onions, a kind of mozz or harder cheese, and the option to add Tabasco all worked well together. The bacon stood out with a slight sweetness that balanced the salty topping. The portion was generous for the price and felt like a real value. Overall A fun and busy spot with great value. I would return without hesitation, especially for those loaded tots.
It was a little odd walking into the establishment as we were literally walking into a converted garage. However, the place was well set up looked great and had a fun ambience to it so we sat down to look at the menu after selecting a few of us chose some sandwiches and some pizza and fries and ice water and iced tea and soda. We ordered a Pastrami Reuben which was incredible in its amount of meat. Huge sandwich that was served with homemade potato chips . We also ordered a smash burger which was equally large and also quite delicious. The show stopper was the 18" Garage Hawaiian! A most outstanding pizza with the right bite, perfect char on the crust, thin and topped with Asian pulled pork, pineapple, honey sriracha glaze and scallions. It was absolutely heavenly and large enough that we only ate 1/2 and took the other 1/2 of the pizza home for another meal. The food topped off with the excellent service really made this a wonderful dining event for our family after coming back from Baltimore, Inner Harbor German Christmas village. Not easy to locate without a GPS as we thought we going in the wrong direction a time or two. Well worth the stop!
Well.. we're not big fans! For some reason, the GPS took us to the Airport Inn instead of the Garage. We were able to ask someone for directions. It definitely looked like an old garage on the outside and the inside. The place was very full and lively! We ordered a cheese pizza and The Garage Hawaiian pizza. We have to say that we didn't like either. There didn't appear to be any sauce on the cheese pizza or not enough. The Garage Hawaiian pizza was very dry. The meat was dry and the pizza itself. I heard this place has good sandwiches, so maybe we'll try those next time but we weren't a fan of the pizzas.
We ended up here after trying (and failing) to find parking in downtown Frederick close to another establishment. My husband is disabled and we are big people so walking a few blocks is not possible right now. We had three kids visiting us. The menu looked very kid friendly and did not disappoint. We arrived and were instantly greeted at the door. The restaurant was busy at 2pm on a Saturday but not so much that we were ignored. We ordered the kid food first (grilled cheese, squish burger, and kid pepperoni pizza). Then we ordered a white pepperoni pizza and bbq smash for us. The prices were reasonable one you get past the $14 kid pizza. The food was all delicious. My biggest two complaints were that 1) the kid grilled cheese and burger came out after the pizzas (including the one we ordered 5-10 minutes after ordering kid food) and 2) the kid portion sizes were ridiculous. The grilled cheese was the largest grilled cheese I have ever seen (but it was amazing) and the kid pizza is a 14" pizza. So I'd say order kid food way before pizzas and make sure kids share if getting grilled cheese or kid pizza. Another thing I always comment on is the furniture. Because we are big people, we always are careful about where we go to make sure the furniture can support us. We had no problems with the furniture here (although I forgot to take pictures, others have). There is a roll up door to a patio area with detached picnic tables that I'm sure are amazing in fall or spring. We will definitely be back. read more

Our family tried this place for the first time, it was awesome!! Small establishment, packed house. We sat outside (would recommend this place get larger picnic tables). The service was great, we had at least five different servers. Ask us if we were either ready to order, if we wanted anything else, refilled our waters, and bring out our food. We ordered the pizza, loaded tots, dry, rub, wings, pepperoni pizza. And had a couple of beers. The service at the bar was also amazing, she offered us testers of the beers on tap. We will be back!! Omg, the pizza is to die for! I'm not a red sauce person, so the Spaniard was perfection! Very flavorful, crust was great! The rest of the table had a Reuben with fresh cut fries, very good! Also had the crispy chicken Cobb salad which was perfect for lunch. Google maps needs to work on their directions a bit, but be patient and take the time to find it (after driving by it 4 times lol)' I wasn't sure what to expect walking into a true garage (though it's kind a cute). The service was great, very friendly guys!! Highly recommend, next time I'm back this way, I will be back! read more
If you've been here, you know. An outstanding little joint in the middle of an industrial park near the airport, The Garage offers wood fired pizza, nice sandwiches, friendly service and a warehouse-y feel when you eat in. I've heard about the place and many will convey pleasure through their personal social media channels, so I sought it out when I had some time to kill after work. Ordered the pastrami reuben, which came with some terrific hand cut fries. I was offered the choice of old bay or parmesan truffle seasoning, but just want with the standard salt and a bit of pepper. The fries were delicious and I wished there were more. The sandwich was HOT with gooey cheese blending in nicely with the meat of the reuben. It was tasty, but the grilled bread seemed just a little greasy coming right off the grill. I would have liked a bit more meat, but all the same, it was a nice tasty spot. Gonna try the pizza next time. But find it and enjoy it. read more

I order from this place. The pizza is good but the burn on the crust needs to be fixed. I bought 3 pizzas last time for a family reunion. 2 of the pizzas crust was so burned down it felt like eating charcoal out of a box read more

Place was unique. Pizza was good, nice flavor. Wife had a Ruben which she said was good. The one issue was she upgraded to fries and not chips. They were soaked with grease and not edible. When she told the waiter that she could not eat the fries and if it could be taken off the bill they convinced her that they would heat up good in air fryer. We did not argue and paid the bill. read more

I just heard about this place, a little off the beaten trail. I was a little worried when there were few customers there, but we were committed and ready to try new things. I ordered a simple cheese pizza. My wife and daughter something different. We all loved what we got. The cheese pizza had good bread, the sauce was great (a hint of sweetness, I think), and overall great flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean. There was a "bar" for patrons to sit and have a beer and a pizza, but was really just a counter with backless stools. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this restaurant. Looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer and sitting outside. read more

This hidden gem was such a great find on a nice afternoon. Their outdoor seating was very welcoming, and the service was outstanding! The guy loves his job and has a talent to make you feel welcomed. The tots are my favorite, and the steak and cheese were a completely different take for my taste buds, salad was fine nothing to complain. read more

What a great find! So grabbed a couple of hungry kids and made a special trip just to see what the excitement over the Rueben was about. This sandwich did not disappoint. We also ordered the steak and cheese along with a cheese pizza. The staff is friendly and ownership is involved and delightful! Order up! First time visiting the Garage on Friday. Food and service were great and very fast! The pizzas were perfectly cooked and we enjoyed the char from the pizza oven! The steak and cheese was good, next time I'll ask for extra cheese but the fries were the star- perfectly seasoned and crispy. Will definitely go back and do recommend! read more

The is the most unique place that I've tried so far. I love the theme of the restaurant as it has a large garage door near the front door. Very open dining area with a very nice bar with local beers from Frederick. The food was somehow even better. The wings were large, crispy, and sauces very well with a house made beer bbq sauce that I would highly recommend. I ordered the "Meat" pizza which came with house made pepperoni and sausage topped with caramelized onions. It was SO good and the onions added a hint of sweetness to the savory pizza. The pizza was cooked to a nice crisp (not burn or overdone) with their very nice pizza oven you can see in the kitchen. The only reason I don't give this experience five stars is the service. The sever disappeared for most of the time I was there making the man behind the bar cover down. It wasn't very busy and had to ask several times for a refill. He most certainly did his best to cover down. Will most definitely go back as the food and atmosphere is amazing. Great little hidden gem by the airport in Frederick. read more
