Last minute reservations for outside table dinner at 630 thurs. The theater had a lg crowd not a parking space to be had actually we could have walked or taken the tram.. not to self forget parking at night in Stuart take the tram or be ready to sightsee! We were seated asap nice seat outside lovely server! Started with corn salad and we all had different dinners from salmon fried chicken meatloaf. All were excellent! As was the service!! We had desert a carrot cake so big we all five split it! Was delicious! Great food the best company!!! Our favorite place in Stuart! Where to go when you are sharing dinner with special people and you want good food. Reservation is a must inside was packed so was outside!

Hit The Gafford last night. A beautiful Florida evening seated outside. Perfect ambiance. We had a very pleasant attendant. We started out with a Crab Bisque that was absolutely delicious. A little twist with a bit of chile pepper gave it a unique taste. I was excited for the rest of the night. Next we had the parmesan roasted cauliflower. Cooked perfectly but it really didn't have much flavor. Disappointing. For our entrees my Wife had the Street Corn Salad and I got the Mabel's Fried Chicken. The Corn Salad was ok but didn't seem to be interesting. Same could be said about the fried chicken. Nice tender chicken breast with a nice flaky crust but really no distinguishing flavor. Green beans were perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes were ok as was the gravy. Bottom line: after the incredible bisque, the rest of the meal, although ok, was a bit of a let-down. I will return however.

The Gafford was always on my list to try when we lived in the area, and I'm so glad we finally went when visiting Stuart earlier this year! It is such a great choice for a nice dinner downtown! My scallops were crispy and charred on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside. Don't miss out when they're on the menu! (They were either seasonal or a special).

Stopped in for our anniversary and this place did not dissappoint located right in the center of downtown with a very convenient location for shopping and activities after! Everything came out fresh and seemed very high quality. Good variety menu with all types ranging from meatloaf to fish they have you covered. The meatloaf was outstanding not dry at all and super filling and packed with flavor throughout the entire dish including the outstanding garlic mashed potatoes it was paired with. The owner even came over and asked if we need anything which was an amazing touch since most places the owner is never present which gave us the mom and pop feel we love

This is the place to go for a thick juicy filet, but the appetizer "tuna tartar" is to die for.

Palm City Social - Street corn guacamole

Palm City Social

Palm City Social gets four stars from me, although the road to those four stars involved some…read morepatience, a hearing-aid shutdown, and enough waiting time to briefly reconsider several life choices. Making the reservation through OpenTable was easy, and from the outside, Palm City Social makes a great first impression. Nice-looking place, inviting entrance, and everything suggested we were in for a polished dining experience. Then we walked inside. The dining room has more of an upscale food-hall-meets-diner-with-a-bar vibe, and the acoustics are... ambitious. Every conversation, fork, glass and chair seemed to ricochet around the room like it had somewhere important to be. I wear hearing aids and eventually turned them off because apparently they were doing their job a little too well. Silence, or at least partial silence, was an improvement. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. The issue wasn't personality. The issue was actually seeing her. She took my cocktail order and a water for my wife, and about 15 minutes later the bartender arrived with both. At that point, I was happy to see anybody carrying liquid in our direction. Then began The Wait. A table of four was seated directly behind us after we arrived. They were promptly greeted, told the day's specials, and had an appetizer order taken while we sat there wondering whether we had accidentally selected Palm City Social's new "Invisible Table Experience." I was sitting with my face in my hand watching this unfold when I learned, entirely by eavesdropping, that the restaurant apparently had specials. Good to know. Eventually -- voilà! -- our waitress returned and told us about them. At that point, I was afraid if we said, "Give us another minute," we might not see her again until dessert, so we ordered immediately. I went with the Chicken Milanese, and my wife ordered the Kung Pao Cauliflower. And because I was now conducting an unofficial field study, I started a timer. Exactly 30 minutes later, the food arrived. Fortunately, this is where Palm City Social earned back a lot of goodwill. The Chicken Milanese was excellent: panko-and-Parmesan-crusted Bell & Evans chicken over piquillo pepper and artichoke tapenade, topped with baby arugula and local tomato in a white balsamic vinaigrette, finished with hand-grated Reggiano and fresh lemon. It sounds like a lot going on, but it all worked. The chicken was crisp and flavorful, the tapenade was an excellent accompaniment, and the fresh arugula, tomatoes, Parmesan and lemon balanced everything nicely. Very fresh, very tasty, and clearly prepared with some care. My wife's Kung Pao Cauliflower was also very good. Oven-roasted and glazed cauliflower with house-made kung pao sauce, chile nut crumble and scallions over coconut-herb basmati rice and local vegetables. Fresh, flavorful and substantial enough that nobody is going to mistake it for three sad pieces of cauliflower pretending to be dinner. So, despite the slow service, I'm sticking with four stars. The waitress was lovely, the food was legitimately good, and nothing about the service felt rude or careless. It felt more like they may simply need another server or two when the restaurant gets busy. My biggest suggestion: if you're sensitive to noise, eat outside. Next time, that's exactly what we'll do. The outdoor area looked much more relaxing, and I suspect my hearing aids and I will both appreciate the decision. I'd also probably come back for lunch and see how the place feels during a quieter part of the day. Bottom line: the food is worth trying. Just bring a little patience. And if you're sitting inside, perhaps some acoustic paneling. Or earmuffs.

Grade F (all facets)…read more AVOID - This place is no longer what it used to be. We've been coming since it opened and this WILL BE OUR LAST TIME. Decided to stop in for tuna stack and guacamole (that we've previously enjoyed on prior occasions). Seemed odd that on a Thursday evening at 6pm the hostess asked if we had reservations. That should have tipped us off that things were different. The bar was full and the very loud. Our server didn't know what fish was on the special for the evening. We weren't enticed, so we went with our original order. Then the disappointment set in; the tuna stack was literally have the size of the ones we've had there. The mango salsa layer wasn't salsa it was bland chopped mango. The bottom layer of guac was about an inch and the chop tuna was light pink to white (at best). Needless to say the "shareable" lasted about three bites each for two people. Regretfully, we ordered the guacamole that was also disappointing. The portion was smaller than before and lacked flavor (seasoning). A few nuggets of corn topper and no cheese (as described on the menu). That "shareable" comes with a salsa that was the coup de grâce of disappointment; it was runny and lacked any semblance of chopped vegetables. It literally tasted like spaghetti sauce and not the good type. We pulled up our Yelp review from last year and sure enough the portions are not even close in terms of size or presentation. We showed the server our pics from last year's Yelp post and she said that she's never had that order. She gave the chef our feedback. Later on she came back and said the chef acknowledged the "salsa" consistency. He offered to make a fresh batch... our plates were gone by that time and we weren't about to take that offer. The grand finale ended with the check being delivered and our server telling us "an automatic 18% service fee is added to the check"... my wife and I looked at each other with utter disgust. We wasted $47 on two awful shareables and one unsweetened tea. It's sad to see yet another restaurant go down the drain so quickly. It seems like PSC went under new management and lost their kitchen and serving staff. Uploading a new pic of the "soupy salsa" to compare with what we previously had

Now, I must admit that I have ridden past this restaurant many times on my e-bike rides but never thought about trying a Greek restaurant for breakfast. So, this week, I finally gave in and trudged off to give the place a try. The Ambiance: Cute European style restaurant that has a cozy yet chic setting. Bar seating, inside table seating and outside patio seating are all offered. I might mention that my outside table felt sticky. Not sure if this is the type of table or a table that needed to be cleaned. Either way it was an uncomfortable experience. Couldn't slide my dishes and my arm sleeve felt like it was sticking to the table. The Service: Although my server forgot the honey I requested for my tea and instead of inputting the WiFi password in my iPad, as requested, briskly told me the WiFi password (she thought), which it wasn't, the service, other than that, was efficient and provided with a smile. (NOTE: Another server was more than happy to input the password for me without a hesitation). I might also mention that my server served my unusual tea request (which so many servers get wrong) absolutely on the money without hesitation. This may not sound like a big deal but, for me, it most assuredly is. The Food: I ordered the Big Breakfast which consisted of two eggs (I chose over easy), two sausage links, two strips of bacon, I chose a biscuit as my bread offering and those "must have grits. Along with this dish I of course ordered my, always a challenge to get, English Breakfast tea with honey and "steamed" milk. Although as mentioned above, other than the honey, my server did bring my tea WITH steamed milk! Good start! Within a few minutes, my dish arrived. Everything was just as ordered. The over easy eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the biscuits came WITH extra butter. Unfortunately, the sausage was your little "standard" link sausage, the bacon was on the crisp side and the biscuit was good but a bit gummy. Now on to the big question,, how was those grits. I have to say, all my friends were right. Those grits were by far, the best grits I've ever had. Creamy, but not runny, needing only a dash of salt, they were so good, I took two orders of grits to go. The Bottom Line: My "Customer so what" would I come back? Although the rest of the meal was simply OK, for the grits alone, you bet I'd return.

First course: I got the watermelon and goat cheese salad which was ok...I didn't realize it was served on arugula...not my favorite green. But that's my problem. My friend ordered the onion soup, which looked delicious. Entree: Three of us had the filet medallions, which were cooked perfectly to each person's order. I would say each of the two pieces were 2 to 2.5 ounces, certainly enough for a meal that also consisted of risotto and two of the largest grilled shrimp I've seen in a long time. One of us ordered the swordfish, shrimp, and asparagus entree. He said it was very good. The amount of food was substantial without sacrificing any flavor. Truly delicious. Dessert: The dessert I chose was a lava cake that came with a large scoop of vanilla and a bit of whipped cream on the side. Another ordered the orange creamsicle pie, which was also delicious and different. The wait staff was great...professional and courteous. The decor is beautiful, and it's not noisy! Highly recommend.
