My review is for Funplex ONLY! I am not sure how people spend an entire day here because my kids were over it after about an hour. The games totally ripped us off (see pics) several times and the employees had no idea how to fix the problem. The games can get a bit pricey and they are honestly not worth it. We enjoyed the bumper cars but were saddened that the wait for the go-karts was more than an hour. We had planned to have dinner there but I was turned off by the café. The workers seemed uninterested in serving us and I was afraid they would give us the stale pizza that I saw behind the glass. We decided to just get churros which were $3 each. The wife and I took her nephew here for his birthday. We went on a Saturday morning and the place was not too busy. I was pretty surprised at the activities provided here. The go kart, bumper car, laser tag were much better than I had thought. The bowling alley seems to be in very good shape and fun to play but we did not try it this time around. The arcade games weren't bad either. The crane games seemed a bit gimmicky as I was watching other patrons playing and the claw was not set to grip at all. Great option for kids on a cold or rainy day. Wristbands for $30ish Are the way to go. Because otherwise, we stayed for about an hour and a half and it was about $18 for a kid to do laser tag once, bumper cars once, and a few arcade games. The wristband would let you do the activities and the arcade games and unlimited for a day. They need more chairs for adults to sit around, but there's not a lot of competition in this space so it is a good place. read more

It's disappointing that the owners rather make a few extra dollars off the prizes/toys. Who wants to spend $100 each time on a pretty small variety of arcade games and walk out with a dollar store item. Kids = easy money. Especially in the area that this arcade is located the ticket to prize conversion ratio was not something that management took into consideration when realizing how much more money they could make If prizes were attainable. Happy kids = happy parents that will spend even more $$ at your establishment. But for a $100 when I get between 1500-3000 and a silly sonic figure is 20,000 I'm just shocked that it would take so much thinking to realize it's worth spending a little more and making a lot more yet they got it wrong here LOL. Dave and Busters for the same amount your walking out with an entire collection of sports balls or an actual PlayStation or Xbox game for the same amount. Forget going on a Wednesday. Got my shiny Geek Badge! Yay! Another playdate. We came specifically for MagiQuest. The crew and I went on a mini roadtrip to Great Wolf Lodge during Labor Day weekend and the kids were intoduced to MagiQuest. They loved it and since, they have been nagging us to go back. We realized Funplex had a kingdom, so we decided to come by. I got their Ultimate Value Package. For 35 bucks, it comes with the Magiquest wand, a topper, 2 ribbons, and 2 hours of quest fun. We literally spent every second of our 2 hours in their magical fantasy castle. I found myself, and my other mom friends, running like chickens, back and forth. I guess we were the ones enjoying the quests more than our kids. The concept of the game is highly interactive, and outrageously fun! Definitely WILL BE BACK. We definitely used our heads today. The arcade games were very easy for our group of kids, ranging from 2-8. The area was very clean, with helpful staff throughout. On our way out, we decided last minute to hop on to their Go Karts. Runs on electricity, so no worries on the smelly exhaust, nor was it loud. We were so glad they offered double seated karts, I'm not so sure if I can see my 5 year old daughter drag race on that Grand Prix circuit! read more

The FunPLEX IS so much FUN. [Our party host was actually lovely; we do thank her for all her efforts.] The organization: the "Party Pick 3" package was booked 9 weeks in advance: GoKarts, Bowling ($40.00 extra) and Laser Tag. A party package of 3 events books for two and a half hours. Everything was bought and paid for advance of the party, including the required 10% gratuity. There was a secret party-schedule for the events (Surprise! No one told us) for our 3 events. Then! Wait for it . .. the FUNPLEX party staff required our party group to wait in the general public's super FUN 40 minute GoKart line! Our party kids got to work on their patience and tolerance skills, but, ultimately becoming frustrated and deflated. THE icing on the birthday cake was this: we arrived at the Laser Tag site and, guess what?? OOPS! Sorry! We were told, "your group missed your Laser Tag time slot by 20 minutes!" (well of course, because we waited in the general line for the Go Karts!) Holy FUN! A slot we did not even know we had. Our party was scheduled to end at 5:15 pm but the staff said . ... hey, your time slot can be rescheduled for 5:50 pm!! WOW. So amazing. The FU-Nprofessional party events manager was called over; he placed us in a 5:20 slot, for after our party was scheduled to be over. Without any other choice (besides an even later time), we took it. We then talked about possible compensation for the laughably ridiculous scheduling screw-ups, by this time no great surprise, the FUNPLEX KEEPS your REAL money for themselves, no matter what! You, like us, may be offered some extra points on an arcade card as compensation, so you too can spend MORE time at the FUNPLEX, staying even later than you had planned after the party! Half our party kids were gone by 5:15. So only half the kids got to play Laser Tag! Luckily, The FUNPLEX honored their own time slot for the BOWLING activity AND they honored their own time slot for pizza and cake, while the frazzled party parents texted all the other party parents to see if the party kids could stay late at the FUNPLEX to play Laser Tag! Such a blast and not stressful AT ALL! If this sounds fun to you, by all means, fork over the $450-$550 it costs to book a party here! If this does NOT sounds fun, go ANYWHERE else. The FUNPLEX is so exhaustingly hilarious. Maybe you will be able to find management's integrity somewhere at the bottom of the Claw Machine arcade game. We could not find it anywhere. read more

Very pricey for what you get. My son went to Dave & Buster's and had a better time based on the experience/games and prizes won. I spent double the amount of money at Funplex and my son ended up with 1/2 the amount of prizes (but I think we were not allowed to claim the full amount of tickets as my card showed 1500 e-tickets after visiting). Asked a question regarding the difference between e-tickets and regular tickets and never received a response. Save your money and time and go to Dave and Buster's instead! read more

Funplex looks like an oversized trailer on the outside but you won't believe the amount of fun that awaits inside for all ages. I would say that it is comparative to Dave and Busters by one that is not as up to date and feels like a mom and pop indoor entertainment space. There are ticketed games and a handful of adrenaline rides. There are not a huge amount of rides to choose from but you will more than likely want to ride them over and over again. The highlight for me was the go karts. There are different levels of speed for the cars and the track is a modest size with a decent amount of curve for thrill. I attended this place yesterday for my child's friend's birthday celebration. For starters I would like to brag about the birthday hostess by the name of Cayla. This girl was by far amazing!! Truly the best hostess I've ever seen at a kids' party. Regardless of how shy my daughter was she did her best to get her attention and welcome her to the party. As she took the kids to each destination she was observant in watching out for those in the party. She catered to the kids and most importantly to the party parents. I would totally request for Cayla. She gave me a feel of having great compassion for her job and for kids. Food: we had your usual pizza, chicken tenders and cold cut sandwiches. Everything tasted good. It was your average "boardwalk" food. They don't give out tickets anymore. Your tickets/points are added to your card that's used to swipe for every game and ride. If you're like me and have tickets at home, they will add them to your card. Not sure what they would do if you loose your card. I'm assuming you loose your tickets/points. Not all the machines to refill your cards were working. I find the arcade games a bit pricey. Each credit is worth 50 cents. Most games at 2-4 credits. read more

Not far from home, "The Funplex" is definitely a fun place to be and personally, M & B come here quite often for the fun of winning games. Some highlights include the go-karting and the claw machines. BUT, there are quite a few things that can be improved such as the concessions, laser tag area, and most importantly, the games. We love playing the games but are very concerned that the claw games are rigged and immature. The purpose of these games is to have fun and win, but there was only one game that we were able to win. The customer service was horrendous I don't understand how you talk to people so nice with manners and they all have to act like rude zoo animals like if you don't like your job quit. The food was pretty good my suggestion is to eat outside we waited an hour just to order and 30 more minutes to get the food and the line wasn't even that crazy and you look inside and they're taking their sweet time drinking cokes. Worst customer service ever. Came here for my nephew's birthday and I honestly wish we had of went somewhere else. Had trouble with our lane and we asked for a manager. We never got to speak with one. They took long to fix the issue with our lane and our time ran out. They did not let us continue our game and we literally only had 3 bowlers left. It's not our fault the ball got stuck. We spent $300 to come in for 6 people and I am appalled that we couldn't get to just finish out the game. We understand there is a one hour time limit but time didn't stop while our issue was being taken care of. Cliff notes: -ruined my child's cake -overcharged me -brought out food late -bugs in the food Full story: My daughter had her birthday party there last week. I spent over $500 for 9 children, and was quite shocked at how poorly the event was put on. When I got there, the first thing they told me was they ruined my daughters cake. Mind you, I contacted the party planning office 5 days in advance of the party, per the policy. Instead of decorating the cake as requested, they gave my daughter a cake with the funplexs logo on it. Not even her name! What on earth ?!!! I noticed them charging me admission for adults simply waking their child into the water park. When it was time for food, they brought the additional catered food out (that I paid a premium for) ten minutes after the rest of the food. I had to go into a storage cabinet myself, to find serving utensils and napkins, since they were not provided. They DID provide two different types of bugs in the food, at no additional cost. When I complained about all of this, I was told they would take $10 off my bill (a fee they charged me for parents walking into the water park area to drop off their child) I wish I had brought my daughter and her friends to the splash plex to enjoy the water park, then went out to eat/party elsewhere, so I could have avoided a money pit and ruined birthday party. read more

The Funplex highly exceeded my expectations when visiting. I loved everything about this place from the location, attractions, friendly staff to the cafe food. This is your one stop shop for birthday parties and a fun filled Daycation with your family or friends. Fun for ALL ages. Many of the reviews addressed the expensive cost of their trip here, however, I found that to be the total opposite of my experience. Many amusement parks require that you pay for parking and when I arrived I was able to score a spot right in front of the entrance at no charge. This place has a huge and spacious layout. I love this aspect. The admission price of the SPLASHPLEX is $26 which is worth every penny. If you wish to purchase a Fun band to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor parks, you can as well for $39.00 to enjoy both for the full day. There are two 3 FT pools, 1 lazy river, 4 Water slides. This is a great place for young children ( 4-12) to enjoy water fun. Parents can feel safe. I had a amazing time riding the water slides and soaking up the sun in the pools and lounge areas. There is a huge tipping bucket in the first pool. It has a buzzer to remind you when it will spray, so watch out folks ! The staff are professional and monitor the children sufficiently. They are very skilled here. The locker room/ changing room was spacious and well equipped with a shower room. You may bring your credit card to purchase a locker from the machine. This place is very up to date with technology. When I read the reviews I was lead to believe it would be jam packed. We visited during the week to avoid the weekend traffic and that made for a very enjoyable visit. We basically had the whole park to ourselves. No crazy lines or insane crowds. Many summer camps were visiting for the day but we avoided them by arriving at 2:00 when all the camps are on their way back home for the day. ( Thank me later) We stayed at the SPLASHPLEX until 7pm and enjoyed the indoor attractions until closing at 10:00 p.m. I was able to enjoy all of the amenities here and my daughter had an amazing time. I found this place to be very relaxing as a parent. All the lounge chairs available at no cost to visitors is such an added bonus. The grounds are clean and the staff ensures that they are professional and courteous. That made for an enjoyable visit. Many of the staff members were welcoming and always willing to offer a helping hand or answer a question. The Indoor amusement section is very similar to many of the rides at Coney Island, featuring Go Karts, Bumper Cars, Foam Ball Frenzy and laser tag I believe. The arcade games are current and you win tickets just as you would at Chuck E. Cheese's. The Foam Frenzy room is a interactive playroom with foam balls you can shoot on 3 levels through a vacuum. There were young children and teens and adults about 20-25 playing in this room. So much fun. All this place is missing is Karaoke, a bubble Foam beach, pool and bowling. The Go Karts were a good time, however, they became bumper cars with all the Jersey teenagers riding who haven't passed their road test as yet. THE EATS! I was expecting mediocre cafe food. I was wrong. The price was right at $10.00 for a combo that includes choice of chicken tenders, burgers, hot dogs or pizza with fries and drink included. The quality of the chicken tenders and burgers was impressive. Fresh veggies on the burger was an added bonus ! The food was very good. Hats off to the chefs. I enjoyed an ice cream cone at the end of the night that was super sized at only $3.60 I spent about $27.00 on food for me and my daughter for the day. I'm a nanny, I brought three kids here, MORE THAN ONCE the "ride operator" (15 year old kid with five minutes of training) neglected to buckle them into the ride. Celebrated my daughter's birthday here last week on a Saturday at 2PM..... Daddy's gift to his little girl. She selected the MagiQuest package and invited all her classmates. When we first arrived, we were assigned a hostess and a helper. They gave me a rundown of the activities that would take place and when. Then provided me with a printed schedule so that I carry it with me to know what we are doing at all times. She then proceeded to take all the children's lunch orders and drink selections. She then confirmed the food order we placed for the parents. We provided the parents with a time to come back for the children if they didn't plan on staying. Once lunch was settled, our little magicians received their MagiQuest training and wand, then proceeded to the quest in the castle. For the Quest the kids are handed a magic wand that when used on the items in the castle, in the correct "quest" order, will activate the item and add it to that childs "done" list. The kids had an awesome time, some of the younger ones needed assistance in understanding the "Quest" order some of the times. Once that was done, we moved back to the party room for lunch and cake, then the children were provided with goody bags and coins to use in the indoor amusement part of the complex. At this point, I highly recommend you have all the kids parents back, because this is when the children join the general public at the site. After reading some of the comments in the yelp reviews I was a bit apprehensive expecting total mayhem; a few reviews mention Saturday's being crazy there, however I did not find it that way. It was much less crazy than what I normally see at Chuck E Cheese. What I loved: Of all the places I have hosted parties for my children, this is the one where I felt the most pampered in. Everything was taken care of, the kids we supervised and the hostess was always checking to see if we needed anything else. The package we selected included Goody Bags, Tokens, Cake and we added food for the adults as well, therefore all we needed to bring was us. It wasn't as chaotic as I had expected. Fun fun fun!!! This place is awesome! I brought my niece here over the summer and boy did we have fun! Skip the tickets and just get a day pass it's the best bang for your buck! They have a pool, go karts, games, laser tag and rides! We didn't use the pool but it looked pretty clean. We did however ride all of the rides and surprisingly they packed a punch for this small venue. Make sure you play laser tag! It was awesome fun! I felt like a 12 year old again! I was running and zapping everyone! They also have a zombie ride which is similar that is a must try especially if you love the walking dead! I reminecse about how long ago this was "Sports N Games" a place that was a little more attractive to people over the age of 15. There was battling cages, bowling, loads of arcade games and a ball pit where it wasn't restricted to adults. Ah the good ol days. Funplex is marketed toward the kiddies, that's fair and does a fairly good job as an indoor amusement park with even more attractions in the warm weather outdoors. The problem is unless your under the age of 15 or a parent of the former the fun goes out quick beyond go-karts/bumper cars and laser tag there isn't a whole lot to do. There are some arcade games depending on what you like. The go karts, bumper cars and laser tag are ok but after about an hour or so (mostly waiting) you'll be ready to call it quits. The staff here mostly comprised of teenagers on their first job are ok for the most part, the food is the standard junk favs of a movie theatre or carnival. The place is sizable but why did they funnel everyone into 1 entrance? There used to be 2, even after my beloved sports n games died. The prices are just ok, it would be worth it if you weren't standing around most of the time so it's best to come on a dead day for cheap entry and less kiddies running all over the place. If you're a kid it's a great place to be, and is conveniently of RT 10. Mild fun for anyone older but you'll probably want to seek out Dave and Busters instead. read more

Every thing is very good here..definitely a great way to spend $25 dollars per person. The life guards are on point. Making sure things do not get out of hand. Definitely a good place to be.
