4.2 stars for the Go Karts at the Funplex. This was my first time go karting. Came here with the kid cousins. It's a bundle of fun. I'm long-legged so it was a bit of a squeeze in the small karts but it was awesome. These karts can actually go pretty darn fast so you can really cruise around. Maybe I'm getting too old or something and too cowardly to not brake at the curves but all the little kiddies around me were lapping me like crazy LOL. The Funplex is indeed FUN! :P read more

We brought our son here for a Saturday excursion. He loved it and guess what we did too! He didn't meet the height requirements for the bumper cars so we found other rides for him . He found the gym ball pit A#1. The arcade games were interesting as I enjoyed playing the Jurassic park game and the pac man game. His dad loved the 3D game where you where glasses and choose which objects you'll shoot as the seat vibrates. I definitely look forward to coming back in the near future. Very disappointed- my parents bought two season passes for our kids for Christmas. When we went to purchase the passes in Mid December we weren't told that parents now need a band as well. We had summer passes last year (2021 Summer) and were never told that accompanying adults need passes or bands as well. We took our kids today to finally use their season passes and were told that parents must also purchase a band. Luckily they gave us a full refund of the memberships but not of the $200 in game play cards - the we now have to purchase bands to use! Younger son left crying and older one swore he will never go back. We have been loyal customers for several years. Three birthday parties held here and three years of season passes. After today - we will never go back. We can buy season passes to Six Flags for our family of 4 for less $$. I understand they feel like they compare to Six Flags - but if that's where you're going you should match them in amenities and / or pricing. Currently they offer less to do and charge more $$. This place is terrible. They can't manage the number of people that they sell tickets to. If they sell reservations for 3:00 and you're still waiting to get in at 3:45 this is terrible management. This place is fun yes but it's criminally overpriced to be an establishment for kids. Entry fee? 45 period except for 2 and under. Season pass? $123 with no tiered discounts of any sort for multiple children in 1 family. Cabanas? $230 with no service whatsoever. I live out of town and brought my 5 nieces and nephews here. I quickly saw that it was pointless to pay the 45 each so I bought them all season passes. The Cabanas are a joke. The customer service is a joke. I can slightly overloook that because there are kids working here so I get it. My real issue is with management, ownership, being content with the price gouging they are doing to these families. The price for a family of 5 to visit here is comparable to a getaway. It's simply not worth it financially. But because we will do anything for our children, we pay it. And I see that they are building a hotel right next to the resort which I'm certain they'll continue the price gouging over there. It's sad. read more

We were invited to a birthday party held at the Spkashplex. Since our family follows a vegan diet, I called the birthday mom and she said they will have the kids eat pizza and cupcakes. I spoke to the supervisor TWICE and she said they will not allow me to bring in a non dairy cheese to put on the pizza, but it's ok to bring in an entire pizza and they can warm it up for my kids, cupcakes were ok to bring too. We brought 2 daya pizzas with us and handed them to her as we walked in. 2 HOURS later, all the kids get served with their food. All but mine. My 5, 3 and 2 year olds are watching the other kids eat as the manager (of the new shift) comes up and says they will not heat up our pizzas. I grabbed some chocolate I had in my bag and gave it to my kids while I tried to fix this, but he will not do as the other manager said they will. He first started by saying their ovens are dairy and it's not safe, then when I said I didn't care about that he said he will not heat them up because there are vegan options on the menu (fries and pretzels) that the birthday mom could have ordered for them, and if he agrees to bringing in foods from outside, he is loosing money. I said I understand, but we were told something else, and the kids are now hungry, and why wasn't I approached 2 hours ago, when I could have fed them elsewhere and come back? The fries came out and my kids had some. My husband and I just couldn't understand how someone can be this heartless, especially when it comes to children. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could . Do not go here for your child's birthday. It's crazy expensive and you are treated like crap. The bathrooms are filthy .The management push you in and out if the party room faster than your herd cattle. They are completely under staffed for the amount of parties they book and the employees have no problem telling you as much.. they shuffle the kids from one thing to the next with really no time at any station; the place is a zoo. To top it off they don't even help the host of the party carry presents or other items out to the car or at least to a loading area and then complain that it has taken you too long to take your stuff. I have been a trip director for my camp for the past 10 years and we have never had such a bad trip. The sales people were very nice and what I thought was genuine but when we got to the trip everything was restricted for my campers. They have a number of rides that you cannot go on were unbelievable. They built a new bowling alley and got new rides that they duped me into buying a package for that did not include anything my kids wanted to do. The Funplex is overly expensive and disappointing for my campers. I know that we will never be coming back here again. They should change the name to The RestrictedPlex. Terrible. Before you pay...And all your kids want to do is play laser tag...check the availability of the laser tag. We spent $130 for the kids to run through the warrior thing ONE time....Blow thru all their credits in 3 minutes because each game uses a ridiculous amount of credits per game...to get to the laser tag at 2:45 and be told they have no open games until 5pm. Stay away from this cesspool and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. We went there for my sons birthday and got him the "unlimited band" which allows for unlimited video games, rides, 1 hr bowling(shoes not included) and water park access. What is really allows for is 5 shooting video games in the back row and limited rides. Most rides you have to pay extra for along with most games. The games and rides were 5-20x time credits. So yes you get extra for dropping $100.00 on credits. But it's used up in about 15 minutes due to the high cost of the games. The water rides were closed because of weather and bowling is super expensive after that first hour. When asking the staff about what rides are part of the deal they were very vague. To see the disappointment on your kids face after they get turned away from each attraction is heart breaking. We ended up ditching the funplex and hitting up Dave and busters. It was cheaper, food was better and we had places to sit while he played. You've been warned. Stay away.... read more

This place has gotten much bigger since I was a kid & there is a lot to do. the foam area is fun for adults and kids. my only complaint is the price... credits and wristbands arent cheap and the credits go by fast... my son is just 42" and he was denied going on a ride that was for kids 42" and taller but it wasnt worth arguing with a teenager over that denied him. The water park is extremely small. There is absolutely nothing to do for children under 4 and there were a total of 3 slides. You can say there are 6 slides but they are just 3 slides doubled. The park did not seem clean at all. The staff were probably some of the rudest staff I've ever experienced. It was not just one person, one area, it was every single staff I encountered could not be bothered, like I was annoying them by ordering food. I would absolutely never go back. On top of it, the price point is so high for almost nothing to do. In addition, my daughter had a rash covering here entire body 2 days after, I'm certain no coincidence. I had my son's party here before and it went smoothly. This year was awful. I wasn't informed that catering should be ordered ahead of time and even when I was speaking with someone he wouldn't even mention the requirement. I was there booking the party and mentioned to the coordinator I was ordering catered food and didn't mention the deadline. They called about the pizza cookie but never a mention about the deadline. We have the summer passes and have been about 4 times this summer. It's a good experience overall but a bit disappointing that certain attractions are not operating or just broken. The lazy river hasn't been flowing the past 2 times and you have to paddle yourself around. Some of the indoor rides and games are not staffed which is surprising during the peak summer season. Excellent way to spend an evening with the family. It has enough rides to keep anyone over 54 inches entertained. I especially loved their 3D Zombie game and the Laser tag. The downside with the laser tag game is you have to make an appointment that can take up to an hour for you to access. The other draw back is that there are no activities to participate in for 18 month old kids. So if your kid is under 54 inches you can forget about trying to take them on a ride here. I think greater improvement can be made in this area. Overall its a great place to have fun whether rain or snow because you are indoors. I love rear-ending women. And even more than that, I love getting rear-ended in return. And here at Funplex you can pretty much do that all day. Let me explain (you bunch of pervs): They have bumper cars and you can bump, re-bump and re-re-bump anyone you want. Yes, even the aforementioned rear-ending of countless women can happen here. True, the women aren't more than 15 years old but what do you care? It's only bumper cars, for heaven's sake! They also have Foam Frenzy, which is a three-story contraption where you can shoot foam balls from stationary guns, throw balls at each other. And at certain moments, you can stand in the middle of the thing and all the balls that have been captured will rain down on you. Lots of fun, especially throwing foam balls 100 miles an hour at unsuspecting kids. The reason I was there was because my niece was attending a birthday party. And Funplex really does go out of their way to make parties really enjoyable. The party package we attended came with pizza, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, fried raviolis and ice cream cake, along with unlimited sodas. And the best thing is that all this food was also available for the adults. The kids also got 20 tokens each, which is like $1 million dollars to 6 year old kids. All the games give out ticket stubs, which can all be collected at the end of the day and redeemed for various prizes. You know, just like they do at amusement parks. All in all, it was a really fun day. Since the kids were still young, we weren't able to drive the go-karts. But nevertheless, this is a great place to have a party for the kiddies. read more

I am a child at heart. Luckily, so is my wife. So for her birthday, we went to Funplex. Funplex is similar to almost every other warehouse turned into an arcade. There's a bunch of crappy rides, a lot of arcade games and a few better things. It is a tad expensive, but definitely a lot of fun. The best thing is the Go Karts. You can get a band to ride all day for free for $20. The karts are electric, so they're not loud or overly hot like they can be other places. The tracks is indoors, so it's open more often and it's a well designed track. There's a nice straight away, a couple turns good for passing and one great hair pin turn. The speeds are surprisingly fast and the staff enforces rules exactly right. They stop the race for dangerous driving and deliberate crashes, but they overlook the occasionally rub while passing. The wait is not bad. I went on them 4 times and waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes twice and 20 minutes once. There is also Laser Runner, which is just Laser Tag. This was pretty good. The room you play in has barriers laid out well. The barriers have small holes in them, large enough to poke your gun through for sniping. The wait time on this is very, very long. I went on three times, with wait times of 30 minutes, 1 hour 15 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes. You can get an unlimited band for this for $23 or for this and Go Karts (and a couple other things) for $28. There is a giant 3 story structure for the kids called Foam Frenzy. It fabric bridges and ball pits and guns that shot foam balls. I was too big to go on, as I was for the Freefall, which looks pretty pathetic. The Bumper Cars were okay, but nothing special. All of these rides are included in the bands I mentioned above. There's a snack bar serving very typical snack bar food for basic cheap snack bar prices. It's a little hard to find. You're best looking up the Bed, Bath & Beyond next door to get there. It was definitely crowded. On a beautiful day in mid-May, I had to fight my way through the crowds. The prices are not much cheaper than a real amusement park and there are fewer rides. Given this, though, it was a lot of fun. The Go Karts in particular are great. read more

There is a police officer stationed inside the place at night. Not sure if that gives me a sense of security or makes it more worrisome. Don't think I'll be back. I have been here many times over the years. I bring my son here after school as a reward or to shut him up if he keeps bugging me to bring him. If you go during the week the cost is much less and there are far less people. Make sure you tell them if you have AAA because there is a discount. Some of the claw games seem to be a little rigged as they were almost impossible and the wristband allowances for kids under a certain height limit was a little incorrect. My bf and I are the biggest kids I know. We love to do all fun silly things including driving to NJ for go kart racing. We came while the kids were off on winter break so they were definitely out and about. We had some time constraints so we we only paid for one ride on the go carts, had we had more time we probably would have went with the unlimited rides for $20. Instead we paid $9 for one ride. The cars are electric so they don't go as fast as other go karts but nevertheless we had a wonderful time driving around. I was a bit nervous that I was going to bump some of the other drivers but the track is fun to drive around with some interesting twists and turns along the track. Once we were done racing we had some time to play some of the arcade games. It was definitely a fun afternoon and i wish we had had more time to be big kids! read more

I rented a cabana for $100 from 10-2 this Sunday, and it was the biggest waste of money ever- and just pure aggravation. I spent until 11:30 trying to find someone to address the fact that our tv and fridge didn't work- and that the water bottles that came with the cabana were warm. Finally, after traipsing around the park and talking to several people with walkie talkies, I finally went inside and kwame came out to our cabana. He took my kids food order, and said someone would be over to look at the tv and fridge. By almost 1pm, still no one had come, so we up and left. I found Sasha, our waitress, inside to pay for the food, and her response was "I'm sorry, I don't know what else to tell you." What a waste of money. Never again. read more

The Funplex offers many fun diversions for the children in your family but at a potentially high price. I highly recommend NOT purchasing the Peak Extreme band, given that although there are a handful of fun rides for the kids, they may not want to, or be able to ride them enough times for the cost to be equal or lesser than buying individual tickets for each ride. Peak period means lines, especially for the go-karts (very fun), where we waited for an hour on what looked like a relatively small line. The much less expensive Off Peak band may end up saving you money. I brought two very active children here during peak period and ended up losing money on the Peak Extreme bands relative to what I would have paid had I purchased tickets separately for each ride. As for the food: I found it to be good, but again, expensive. A pizza with pepperoni and a pitcher of soda cost $24, which I found to be a bit on the high side. The downside is those who comes indoor to play after the water park leaves wet stains on arcade seats and bathroom stalls.
