Established in 2002.
The Fulcrum Group was founded in Keller, Texas by Steve Meek and David Johnson to help organizations get more value from technology through stronger relationships, better guidance, and practical support. The name “Fulcrum” comes from the pivot point of a lever: a small point of leverage that can create meaningful movement.
That idea still guides the company today. We believe technology should not just be maintained. It should be used as leverage to reduce risk, improve productivity, support innovation, and help leaders make better business decisions. Over the years, Fulcrum has grown from a North Texas network support company into a Texas-owned managed IT, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, cloud, VoIP, automation, and AI strategy partner for DFW organizations.

Meet the Business Owner: Steve and David M.
Steve “The Doctor” Meek, CISSP, is co-founder and president of The Fulcrum Group, Inc., a Texas-owned managed IT, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, cloud, VoIP, automation, and AI strategy provider based in Keller, Texas.
Steve has spent more than two decades helping CEOs, city leaders, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, nonprofits, and public-sector teams make smarter technology decisions. His work focuses on cybersecurity, AI readiness, Microsoft 365 optimization, strategic technology planning, and helping organizations turn IT from a cost center into a business advantage.
As host of the Talk To Th3 Doc podcast, Steve explores leadership, ownership, cybersecurity, AI, and business technology issues facing SMB decision-makers. His goal is simple: help DFW leaders move beyond cheap, reactive IT and build smarter plans through better visibility, practical roadmaps, and a No IT Jerks culture.
