BACK UP EVERYTHING half the computers I've taken here came back with the hard drives wiped clean. The other half got lost & he doesn't seem motivated to do anything about that. 2. Call before visiting. some shops would call you if there's been a delay. Most will call or email when the work is done. That's not Jimmy's style, so if he told you it would be ready last week, save yourself a trip by calling to make sure. 3. don't bring the charging cable. he's got plenty that will work with most devices & will probably lose yours anyway. 4. be patient James doesn't have a great short term memory & may ask several times what your name is & what brand your computer was & what he was doing to it. maybe put the important info on a notecard affixed to the device. large print. 5. inspect the device before leaving with it. did he put all the screws back in? does it boot up? this could save you a trip or two. 6. Try it yourself first. there are probably a few videos online that explain what you need done. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE YOURSELF! you can do hard things well. if you get stuck or don't have the time, Jimmy's got you. 7. make your device unique Jimmy's got a dozen stacks of silver & black laptops & tablets. put stickers on yours or paint a corner with nail polish. bring it in a neon green box or something.

Benchmark IT & Telecom came to my house to help me with my new projector, this involved running a new HDMI cable and ethernet. The technician was on time and well versed. He showed me and my home respect and was very educated in his field. The install went great and fast and when complete he cleaned up his work area. Here's where Benchmark IT & Telecom excelled. An hour or so later, I found that a cable was knocked loose in my attic and I lost communication to some of my devices. I realized that this is something that happens sometimes with installs, but wondered how they would handle my call. I called the tech and he was very apologetic. He was happy to return and fix the issue ASAP. I unfortunately was not able to meet that day, but he gladly returned the next business day (with a second tech) and finished the job. To be clear, I know my technology, I've worked in this field for many years. These guys know their stuff. I will for sure call these guys for anything I need done Home Automation or Networking, they are trustworthy and great at what they do.
