My son and I ate at The Fried Egg for breakfast during a baseball tournament. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had THE BEST Corned Beef Hash ever. The biscuits were ridiculous. They did not have the traditional biscuit texture. Very light and airy. My son had a massive waffle covered in berries. He couldn't eat the entire thing. Very good place for breakfast.

A great local spot for breakfast or lunch! This menu is massive and has something for everyone. It mentioned a typical wait of 30 minutes, but we got seated right away. Great service and the food came out quicker than we expected. All of the food was good, but the skillet was a definite winner.

There were so many employees so we were seated quickly and waited on fast! The server was efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic large portions. I can't imagine people eat everything on their plate. I got a biscuit and this thing was huge. Look at the picture. The largest biscuit I have had for breakfast and it was very tasty. great location easy in and out of the parking lot .

A breakfast-all-day establishment that serves large portions and lunch menu items as well. I got the Fried Egg Skillet which was large enough for 2 meals. and very tasty. The service was eggscellent () and the restaurant is very clean. St. Martin watches over it.

What a wonderful place to have breakfast! We drove from Fort Wayne to purchase our new car at Denney Motor Sales in Wabash, In on the afternoon of June 3rd. We didn't have time to eat breakfast before we left home, and when we left the dealership, we were starving. Randy Denney recommended the Fried Egg restaurant to us because they serve breakfast all day. The moment we walked in, we noticed right away that the restaurant was clean and bright and the staff was friendly. Our server was helpful and attentive and explained the popular menu items. We highly recommend the Cinnamon Roll pancake. It is incredibly good. We can not say enough about how delicious they are. Enjoy them with a cup of hot coffee. Yum. We wish we lived closer to Wabash so we could enjoy this restaurant more often. We highly recommend you visit The Fried Egg restaurant for breakfast. You will be impressed.

Amazing place. It was busy but they sat us quickly, provided great service, and had huge portions! I got the fried egg skillet and it was amazing. She got the Idaho omelette and I have included a picture of that. Finally, I love chips and salsa. (I fancy myself a salsa and salad connoisseur). I recommend their "spicy" salsa verde.

My Cousin treated us to The Fried Egg today. We had a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. The restaurant is doing some things right with Covid safety. They are limiting seating capacity and staff have on masks. They have signs up for guest to wear masks but very few people were. At times I noticed the servers weren't all keeping them up on their mouth and nose. They did have have hand sanitizer in a couple places. Ok the food. #1 Pork Chops with, eggs, hash browns and toast. The chops were a good size and you get two of them. #2 Country Fried Steak with, eggs, hash browns and toast. The steak was tender and covered with gravy. #3 Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with eggs, bacon, and sausage. The pancakes were amazing. #4 Two egg meal with bacon, hash browns and toast. They did a perfect job on the over medium eggs and the bacon was the perfect crisp. We all really enjoyed our meals. Our server was friendly and moving at a good pace. She told us it was her first day back since foot surgery. She did an awesome job. Everyone please wear your masks, even if you think Covid is a joke you may actually protect someone and not even know it.

Visiting the area and wanted to have breakfast before the Mother's Day crowd arrived. We were happy to see that the Fried Egg opens early, we arrived around 7:30 AM. Already a decent sized crowd. The hostess seated us right away and our server was at our table quickly and got us some coffee. Large menu. I ordered the cinnamon pancake platter with eggs and bacon, and my partner ordered the regular pancake platter. The food arrived soon after and was very good. Regarding COVID: None of the staff was masked. Coming from Monroe county, Indiana, where there is still a mask mandate, it was weird to see servers not masked. However, it is a county by county thing and each county is different.

Based on the cars in the parking lot this is a good choice to stop for breakfast. We were quickly seated and waited on by our server. The coffee was served hot and fresh. We decided to split a Texas Breakfast Sandwich with hash browns. We told our server we were going to split it and she actually already brought it plated for us on 2 plates. There are lots of options on the menu.

I would have rated this five stars had they enforced people wearing masks. All of the staff was wearing a mask which is great but there was no sign on the door upon entry about wearing a mask until seated. The entire place was extremely clean, including the restrooms. They were strategically placing people, to encourage social distancing at least. I had the cinnamon roll pancake platter. The eggs were extremely fluffy, bacon was fried perfectly, the sausage was cooked perfectly, and the cinnamon roll pancakes were wonderful. Butter and syrup on these pancakes would have just ruined them. My husband had ham, eggs, and fried potatoes. He said everything was wonderful, as well. We were taken care of very efficiently. She kept our coffee full, checked on us in perfect time and everyone was super friendly. We will definitely stop back by when we are in Wabash or passing through.

The restaurant was a lot more kitschy than I was expecting, which I loved. Our waitress had a wonderful energy. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had several unique items. I ordered a Scottish soda called IRN BRU. I love trying food and drinks from around the world. It tasted like an Orange Crush soda. Our waitress said they were known for their Cauliflower soup. It was cold outside so soup sounded perfect. I also got a pepper jack grilled cheese. The soup came in a huge bowl. The combo of the soup and grilled cheese was very filling. My friends ordered the sticky pudding. I had a bite and it was delicious. I cant believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I throughly enjoyed it and cant wait for my next road trip.

In fact it is my favorite restaurant of all time. Sunday we stopped again. I had the British chicken curry and the fatoush. It was amazing as usual. That fatoush is so refreshing! My wife had the pork chop which comes with these amazing mashed potatoes with mustard seasoning that will blow your mind. She can never finish because it's so much food, which is OK with me because I help her out some. My favorite way to eat this is to mix a little mashed potato, mustard and pork chop together into one delicious bite. We were too full for dessert, but the times that we had the dessert here were spectacular as well. Thank you to all the people that work at Paynes, please don't change anything, you are the best!

Surprised no one has covered this place…read more Party of 4. We arrived 15 minutes before primetime. (you know a/k/a 3:45 on a Sunday for the blue plate crowd) Probably not a good time to review service standards as it seemed as though we rented the place. A fairly fresh refurb is evident - spiffy and polished. Promptly seated, quickly attended to by our server. Waited no time on fresh decaf. 2 of us tried out the new farm house meals (dolls), 2 others got the old standbys (guys - surprised? you shouldn't be). So there's a table of Chicken Noodles, Chicken pot pie, Sausage Chili and Sausage gravy w/ eggs, home fries and biscuits. You know what?... that above average standardized comfort food can hit a sweet spot. Our food was just as anticipated. Predictable comfort food promptly served. No quibs. And the parking lot was hoppin on our way out at 4:20!

Empty tables everywhere still hadn't been cleaned, it was just filthy. Floors were dirty, when they did clean tables it was with a rag that had been sitting on a table, previously used over and over. When a new customer came in, they would grab the same dirty rag and rush to clean another table. Our food took 35 minutes to come, when we placed our order there were 3 occupied tables. And to top it all off, my daughter got food poisoning from the chicken fried steak. I would recommend you eat anywhere in Wabash but this restaurant.
