La Locanda Del Cavallo If you're looking for a true fine…read moredining experience in the Lehigh Valley, you need to try La Locanda Del Cavallo. From the moment we sat down, it was clear this wasn't just dinner -- it was an experience. The bread alone was award-winning quality. The squash harvest soup was absolutely amazing -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It was a five-course meal, and every course delivered. The cheese and cherry ravioli was an incredible sweet-and-savory combination that had me savoring every bite. The roasted duck had unique, complex flavors and was definitely delicious. I also tried a bit of the shrimp -- even though I passed most of it off -- and it was excellent. And dessert? I don't even know exactly what it was, but it was outstanding. What really sets this place apart is the full experience. We were given a tour of the property and learned about the incredible history of the building. Barry, our waiter and tour guide, was absolutely incredible -- attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the restaurant. The private tour and the information he shared made the night even more special. We also had the privilege of meeting the owner and chef, Brondo. He was a pleasure to meet -- very cool guy and an exceptional chef. Everything about La Locanda Del Cavallo is on point: Great service Great atmosphere Great people Must-try food While the food was fantastic, the entire experience is what makes it truly unique. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Upon arrival, there was so much to see......mindfully decorated dining areas, amazing furniture & antiques, kitchen spaces, and the back where the gazebo and outdoor seating area was. Our Amazing Host was Barry. He was definitely entertaining. He narrated an awesome tour which elaborated about the history of the restaurant and everything in it. The 5-course meal was fantastic; the portions were definitely great. We started with a beef soup with homemade bread. Then they served a homemade ravioli and meatball. The next course was a large lobster tail and prawn with 1/2 of crab cake. Thankfully, we took a tour before the next course to take a breather. Lol. We were able to choose from five entrée items, and we chose the rack of lamb and the veal osso buco. The dessert was custard cake with a side of fresh whipped cream and custard.... EVERYTHING was delicious!!! We also toured the main kitchen. Chef Brondo was great, and I am certain he is making his late Mother proud. I cannot say enough about this experience!! Note: it's a BYOB!

Our order included the following: * Deep Fried Brie served with caramelized onions: $15.95 * (2) Soupe à l'oignon Gratinée - traditional onion soup: $14.95 * Jambe D'agneau Braisée - new zealand lamb shank braised in port wine reduction served over israeli couscous, carrots, mushrooms and onions: $36.95 * Steak au Poivre/au Poivre Vert - two 4 ounce medallions of filet mignon with black peppercorn rub: $39.95 * Pommes Frites (hand cut french fries) $8 This place has the casual look and feel of a Paris bistro, and I really like the vibe. You can sit at tables or the large bar, we chose the former. The service was very good, accommodating and friendly. The food was nicely executed. My lamb shank was tender and tasty. I sampled the steak and thought it was nicely cooked, loaded with flavor and also very tender. The brie was tasty, and didn't seem to heavy, which was surprising as it was deep fried. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular here.

Any way I had an escargot appetizer. I love snails. I wish they had frogs legs! I had the lamb shank for the main course. My wife had the bouef Bourgogne pot pie (apologies for misspellings ; auto correct is fighting me on this one). The food was excellent. The service was good. They make good cocktails and I a sazerac , something I last had in New Orleans, a long time ago. The ambiance is pleasant and parking is easy. The prices, about what you'd expect. We had dessert and coffee. Oh the bread is very good. Highly recommended!

Three Oaks delivers a technically competent steakhouse experience, but at premium pricing that…read moredemands more distinction than it offers. The aged steaks are well prepared, and the 500-degree plate presentation does what it is designed to do. The sizzling plate may impress first-timers, but it is straight from the national chain playbook and no longer feels special. It preserves heat, not originality. Sides are à la carte and priced aggressively for what are essentially standard steakhouse accompaniments. They are fine. They are not memorable. At this price point, diners reasonably expect at least one dish that shows some imagination. The wine list is the biggest disappointment. It reads like a Pennsylvania "Chairman's Selection" circular rather than a curated cellar. Safe, widely available bottles dominate, with little depth or personality. For a restaurant positioning itself as an upscale destination, that lack of curation is hard to ignore. Service was professional and the dining room attractive. If you want a reliable local steakhouse and do not mind paying for it, Three Oaks will meet expectations. If you are looking for distinction or a reason to return beyond convenience, you may find it difficult to justify the bill.

The place is beautiful with great seating not too condensed as well as bar seating. Service was second to none. Pleasant and friendly (Darcie was great). The food was great. We had: Wedge salad - great Bread- great Sides of green beans and fries - great Fillet and cowboy rib eye omg. These were both cooked to perfection. The biggest struggle was saving a little to bring home for my son to try. We loved it. Thanks again.
