Came on a recommendation from friends. The ambiance is just as you imagine in st. marten. Off airport road going toward Phillipsburg. Started with escargot which were buttery and garlicky. Delicious but not enough bread to dip into the lucious sauce. Ordered the lobster. It came split and with rice. Hubby had the crab salad wrap which looked great and he said did not need anything. Seasoned well. The lobster itself was a bit rubbery but rice was good. Still good but 3 minute too long on the grill. All I'm all very good. I'm sure when the cruise ships are in they are busy.

Lovely place to get breakfast brunch. Parking right outside. Made to order freshjuices, crepes and coffee orders. Casual and local . Charming interior and owner is vested in employees. They are also open for lunch .

Eggs Benedict, potatoes, avocado, and coffee. An excellent start to the day.

I can't speak on any other meal here, but my breakfast experience was top notch. I promptly received attention from the waitstaff, initially receiving what might be the most delicious cup of coffee I've ever had. I then ordered the eggs Benedict, and the lovely waitress suggested an addition of avocado on the side. The food arrived promptly, and I was quickly impressed by the quality of the dish. The avocado was a nice addition, the eggs were poached perfectly, and it was nice to get the flavor of real, honest-to-God hollandaise sauce. Great service, comfortable ambiance, convenient location with ample parking, and delicious food. Hard to beat that combination. Traffic wasn't too bad on the morning I stopped by, but it certainly can be busy in this area, so keep that in mind.

Stop here first after you land on the island, before you do anything else-come and see Miss Sally at Vesna Taverna (except on Mondays because that's her day and she is actually closed). Her food will not disappoint and she makes the best drinks! Very awesome atmosphere (open air with some ac). Sally has a wonderful personality and she even provided a high chair for our 2 year old daughter and made her some mashed potatoes and fed them to her while we were eating! Such a lovely woman with top notch service! This was a great introduction to island food (for me) as it is my first time here on the island. Everyone working in her restaurant was so nice as well!!!

We stayed at the Azure Hotel (love it) in Simpson Bay and I found this restaurant on Yelp. I arrived just before opening and was greeted by Sally. She invited me in and seated me, despite that they weren't officially open. I looked over the menu and the French Toast was calling my name. I was pretty hungry, so I also ordered an Eggs Benedict plate and a coffee. I dug into the Benedict's and the accompanying potatoes. They were delicious. I started talking to Sally and enjoyed her outlook on life and her love for her job. I then had the French Toast. It honestly didn't look too fancy, but once I tried it, I was sold. My experience at Vesna Taverna truly made my first full day on the island. I will certainly be back.

Waited 20 minutes to be greeted by a waitress and no such luck. Unless you have time to burn don't bother.

Solid food. Solid atmosphere. The only down side is the parking is cramped because the main road is right in front.

Elvin is the most memorable name. He was everything that a waiter should be... hospitable, nice, sincere, kind, and attentive. When we had service with Elvin nothing ever skipped a beat or was amiss. The other servers were okay but nothing out of the ordinary where we had a lasting impression. As others have mentioned, service lacked at times. The infinity has an outdoor and indoor space. The restaurant is decent. Ambiance is that of a typical beach resort. The menu is American cuisine favorites. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served the American way. No specials or specialties dishes just what you see on the menu. Let's get into it! Avocado Toast - Good! American Breakfast: Great! The potatoes varied from day to day but overall hard to mess up eggs. Calamari- Good! Red Snapper- Delicious they know how to fry a Snapper! The better half loved it! Shrimp Tacos - Delicious, simple but tasty! BLT sandwich - Perfect Overall, if you're staying in the Dawn Beach area of Sint Marteen and need a bite to eat, this is the place to come. Decent eats!

Visited 6th and 9th August 2024…read more My companion and I decided to visit Darkwood Beach for a beach day. It's convenient since Darkwood Beach Bar & Restaurant serves food and drinks, which means we did not have to worry about packing lunch. The only problem is that it's a bit spendy $$$, so be mindful of that. As soon as we arrived, we ordered our meals. I ordered the Darkwood classic burger, which was topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, plantains, and pickles.. I asked them to hold the pickles on mine. All burgers are served with a side of fries. I wanted to substitute regular fries for sweet potato fries, but they were out of sweet potato fries. My companion had the local lobster entrée, which came with two sides. He chose sautéed potatoes and plantains. Both meals were delicious. The burger was massive - I resorted to eating the meat only and left the bun because it was so much food. It was well seasoned and reminded me of a smash burger the way it fell apart with every bite. The lobster was done in buttery garlic sauce, and it was perfect. Eating it was like an orgasm in your mouth. Yummy! The potatoes were amazing too, and the plantains were fried golden brown. For drinks, we just opted for local passion fruit, which were $ 5 USD / $13EC each. My friend joined us later, and she had the local lobster as well as wings. The wings were well fried and tasted delicious, too. If you want to use the umbrellas ($10USD/$26EC each) and beach chairs ($5USD/$13EC each), you also pay at the bar. And there is a 10% service charge added to your total bill. Once we finished ordering our food, they informed us that it would be about 20 minutes to prepare. We swam until then. When the food was ready, the servers brought it out to our chairs, where we were located. The day was beautiful, except for a few scattered showers, but the beach pristine with white sands and turquoise waters. I would highly recommend Darkwood Beach even if you do not eat/drink at Darkwood Beach Bar & Restaurant. As previously stated, the beach is pristine, and the water is not too deep, so it is ideal for small children or novice swimmers.
