    Coconut Shrimp

We were staying at Oyster Bay on night one of our honeymoon in Saint Martin. Famished and searching for an amazing dinner spot, out of convenience we decided to give The Infinity a shot despite the negative reviews... Oh wow I am so glad we did, as absolutely everything we ordered was fantastic! We started off with a couple apps at the bar, the chicken wings were tiny but crispy and perfectly cooked. The coconut shrimp were homemade and so yummy. For dinner we were offered a spinach soup appetizer. It was soooooo good we ordered a giant bowl to share. Out of this world!! My husband ordered the grouper entree and I ordered the red snapper. OMG everything was fabulous!!! Dinner was so amazing we came back for breakfast before checking out. My husband ordered an omelette and I ordered the ham and cheese crepe. OMG the crepe was outstanding I literally could not get enough!! The omelette was delicious as well but the kicker were the potatoes that came with the omelette. They were sautéed with rosemary and onions. The remaining onions/oil was a perfect pairing with my crepe. I'm still drooling thinking of it! All I can say is had there been at least 1 Yep Elite review I would not have hesitated in choosing The Infinity for our dinner option. Hopefully this review will assist others in making the right choice which is Infinity!!

If you're ready to wait several hours to be served then come here! Every table was complaint of the service. People have been waiting for at least 45 minutes including me. They were more concerned with my bikini top than ensuring proper service. Then another lady came in and the same waitress that told me I needed a shirt never even mentioned that to her. So I took my shirt off and then the manager came up to me and told me I needed a shirt so I asked why nobody approached the other lady and only me! After she did tell the other group that she needed a shirt on and they went outside not before complaining about it. If they focused more on service and less on clothing and discriminating only certain people for swimwear and not everyone I think it would be a better experience. Nevertheless... never coming back to this place.

This is a must try. We enjoyed our first night dinner in the island. The people are very nice and welcoming. The restaurant is casually elegant overlooking the ocean and infinity pool. We were happy with their fettuccine alfredo with chicken and sea bass entre. We also tried their caprice salad and they were delicious.

The food and amenities were great and walking up and down the boardwalk. As women traveling without male companions this felt like a safe choice. The service was great at the beach bar and restaurant but the service was lacking at front desk, during reservations, and the inside bar. Overall we'd stay again. This area of SXM is pretty low key at night. Great for shopping ,eating, and beach time.

Took what seemed extra time to cook the same steak longer. Then comes to dessert- again 2/3 were great but the third person ordered a coffee and this came when we were done with the two other dessert dishes. Took very long. One person in the party forgot their phone. She went back and was treated so rudely. The person rolled her eyes and was very very reluctant to give back her phone. The unpleasant experience of this at a fine dining establishment between meal, dessert and treatment upon returning- really really disappointed!!!!! Sadly- we were excited to even try again but with staff grunting and rolling eyes. Nope! Not worth our $300 plus bill.

One of the owners Max was there both nights we went and we were impressed by his attentiveness, kindness and the pride he took in the bar and drinks he was serving. He was so passionate that it was contagious; seriously - if someone was giving out tattoos I probably would have gotten a Ratafia tattoo on the spot and signed up to be a groupie. The most impressive thing Max pulled of was the fact that he made a gin drink (Clover Club) that my husband actually liked even though he's sworn off gin since a night of drinking and getting sick off of it in high school! I couldn't believe it. He took the time to explain the ingredients in the drinks, why they work and was even making the fresh ingredients for the drinks while we were there (raspberry syrup, chickpea water, etc.). We also had a charcuterie board one of the nights and it was fresh and great compliment to the drinks. Max even shared a sample of Ratafia with us and the story of why they chose to name their bar after it. Oh and we especially loved being able to catch the sunset from the patios so don't miss that if you go!

Visited 6th and 9th August 2024…read more My companion and I decided to visit Darkwood Beach for a beach day. It's convenient since Darkwood Beach Bar & Restaurant serves food and drinks, which means we did not have to worry about packing lunch. The only problem is that it's a bit spendy $$$, so be mindful of that. As soon as we arrived, we ordered our meals. I ordered the Darkwood classic burger, which was topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, plantains, and pickles.. I asked them to hold the pickles on mine. All burgers are served with a side of fries. I wanted to substitute regular fries for sweet potato fries, but they were out of sweet potato fries. My companion had the local lobster entrée, which came with two sides. He chose sautéed potatoes and plantains. Both meals were delicious. The burger was massive - I resorted to eating the meat only and left the bun because it was so much food. It was well seasoned and reminded me of a smash burger the way it fell apart with every bite. The lobster was done in buttery garlic sauce, and it was perfect. Eating it was like an orgasm in your mouth. Yummy! The potatoes were amazing too, and the plantains were fried golden brown. For drinks, we just opted for local passion fruit, which were $ 5 USD / $13EC each. My friend joined us later, and she had the local lobster as well as wings. The wings were well fried and tasted delicious, too. If you want to use the umbrellas ($10USD/$26EC each) and beach chairs ($5USD/$13EC each), you also pay at the bar. And there is a 10% service charge added to your total bill. Once we finished ordering our food, they informed us that it would be about 20 minutes to prepare. We swam until then. When the food was ready, the servers brought it out to our chairs, where we were located. The day was beautiful, except for a few scattered showers, but the beach pristine with white sands and turquoise waters. I would highly recommend Darkwood Beach even if you do not eat/drink at Darkwood Beach Bar & Restaurant. As previously stated, the beach is pristine, and the water is not too deep, so it is ideal for small children or novice swimmers.

The restaurant is in the same parking lot as the restaurant and beach. We stopped to eat with maybe an hour and a quarter before the shuttle was to arrive. It was island time... the food arrived unevenly between 10-15 before the shuttle. We didn't have time to finish and had to take most of the meal to go. It was advertised as fresh mahi but either it was overcooked in a rush or wasn't fresh. But that's not to say it was bad, just average. The waitress seemed annoyed with us overall. The music was really loud, even when we were sitting behind them. And since we were visiting on a Sunday, there are no split checks. So unless you're paying cash, someone picks it up the whole bill. For what it's worth, We did like the vibe of the place. And the views were pretty terrific.
