This is how close you are to the water, local Coast Guard patrolling.

Great location while staying at Porto Cupecoy Marina! Great marina side dining. Everything is made fresh to order. We had stopped by the day before asking about fresh seafood and Chef Carlos said stop by Tuesday . I asked if he had fresh warm water lobsters and he said yes. He said he could cook it any style even Lobster Thermidor . I was excited. I had had lobster Thermidor for the first time in Massachusetts at the Black Whale, amazing! We came back the next night to Big Cee's and because it is "slow season" we had the place to ourselves. We sat inside but overlooking the Marina. She got snapper dinner and I got the Thermidor. When server brought it he apologized saying they only had large ones! While eating dinner the local coast guard came through checking things out! The marina is very close to the French-side border.

    GIANT Lobster Thermidor! Delicious!

Service by JP was perfect, professional and well timed. We were well cared for and he had great suggestions and a wonderful smile. All of the other workers were also gracious and friendly. We got to meet Big Cee himself! The setting is gorgeous! Waterfront, clean and just beautiful. Loved the tv showing undersea videos as if on a dive. Food was incredible. Super fresh and delicious. Drinks were perfect. "No" isn't an answer here and nothing is a problem. Huge lobster thermidor! Thanks so much! We'll be back and recommend you highly!

The waitress Elizabeth was awesome! So friendly, professional but fun! The food was amazing starting with the apps and ending with dessert. The mahi mahi was Incredibly fresh & packed with flavor. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly & the rack of lamb was incredible. We enjoyed the waterfront dining atmosphere!!

Hidden down the steps in the Porto Cupecoy plaza. We sat at the tiki bar called Steve'z where you can order from any of the plaza's restaurants. We went with Big Cee's. They have a lot of classics on the menu but the menu does seem a little over. There were nachos, coconut shrimp, fish and chips, among many other items. The coconut shrimp wasn't bad and served with a chutney. Nice crispy to the shrimp. The fish and chips was nicely done as well. The batter was crispy and fries were served piping hot. Nothing wow'd me but it filled me up.

Nightly special, appetizers of coconut shrimp, crab dip and of course gin and vodka martini

As I stated before the waiters and servers were top notch. With that said, the kitchen was the issue. My wife ordered a lobster bisque or should I say a soup. To add insult to injury, there was literally one chunk of lobster that was almost half inch in size. The family did enjoy the bread, but the main meals had several misses that caused this restaurant to be a two star. I will start with my wife who had the lasagna. She said it was really good and could have been a dish from Italy (We were there last December). My daughter had the gnocchi and a side of meatballs. She stated the gnocchi was bland, but the meatballs were good. My son, started as a couple failures. First he ordered a beef tenderloin fillet. After being told that they were out he ordered the New York strip medium rare. When the food finally made it to the table it was rare. After sending it back the second one was cooked better. However the steak you could taste the rosemary, but was still no salt. Once adding salt to the steak it tasted good. He ordered a side of pasta which he really enjoyed. Finally, my order, I ordered the whole lobster. To start, the size of this lobster for $79 was a joke and if the lobster was good, I would have felt better! Not having a Caribbean Lobster before I was not sure how it was supposed to be and I wished I would have asked when I took my first bite. The lobster was supposed to be a grilled item. I was so looking forward to this lobster to be TOTALLY disappointed! The lobster was actually over cooked. I only found out after I was leaving because I asked how the consistency was supposed to be. If you only care about scenery and pasta this is the place for you! Anything else, there are a lot of options in the area to choose from.

When we walked in they handed us 2 menus and pointed to the stairs. There's a narrow catwalk with a few deuces along the windows. Service was quick (by Caribbean standards ), with drinks delivered promptly, even during a busy lunch rush. There is no rum punch on the menu but they have it and it's refreshingly delicious. My husband ordered the Diablo cocktail - also yummy! I read that the conch fritters were great - I'm not sure I'd say "great." They are flat and a little dry with more a suggestion of conch flavor rather than discernible chunks of conch. Still if you've got a hankering, it's convenient and they are tasty - especially the sauce. They come with 3 in the order. Hubs ordered the fish sandwich with fries and enjoyed it although he noted the ketchup was sweeter and thinner than US style ketchup. He liked it. I ordered the pan fried (grilled) grouper that came with a home-style cole slaw and seasoned rice with a few black beans mixed in. Tartar sauce came in a squirt bottle and lemon on the side. The fish was seasoned well and priced great. I heard others around us raving about the fish and chips, too. There is a vegetarian section on their menu but I don't know how easy it would be to get anything vegan except a salad. At the end you walk up to the bar / hostess area to collect your check and pay. They take visa and Mastercard and have prices on their menu in both the local currency and US dollars. They clearly are happy to cater to cruise ship passengers! Great laid back place.

Service was good and the place wasn't very busy at all. We were immediately seated and our order taken. Sadly, for our taste, the fritters were dry and lacking of any conch flavor. We also ordered wings and they were ok. Topped the meal off with a rum punch and went back to the ship to eat. The rum punch was the best tasting item we had! Traveling the Caribbean, we've tasted much better fritters!

Took what seemed extra time to cook the same steak longer. Then comes to dessert- again 2/3 were great but the third person ordered a coffee and this came when we were done with the two other dessert dishes. Took very long. One person in the party forgot their phone. She went back and was treated so rudely. The person rolled her eyes and was very very reluctant to give back her phone. The unpleasant experience of this at a fine dining establishment between meal, dessert and treatment upon returning- really really disappointed!!!!! Sadly- we were excited to even try again but with staff grunting and rolling eyes. Nope! Not worth our $300 plus bill.
