The service and food are outstanding and a pleasant surprise for my wife and I after a long day on the PA Turnpike. We found ourselves for a second time at The Forum. Trust me it's a 5 Star Road Warrior Menu. I only took a couple of shots of their menu but trust me it is expansive. "Holly" took great care of us as we chose to sit at the bar this time. Mixed great drinks and even offered us a chance to sample the Cheesburger Soup. I know that sounds weird but it was spectacular and worthy of a "Diners, Drive in's and Dives" episode! I honestly do not know how they get these ratings. Their menu is huge, way too many items, which is always concerning. So I ordered the Italian Sampler. Don't order the Italian sampler. The marinara sauce was basically a tomato based ice cream sauce - SWEET. The pasta for everything was over cooked to the max, mushy but stiff on the outside...yep, microwaved. Cambridge, OH...who knew. The Forum delivered WOO!! We were starving. We were heading out to do some shopping. So we wanted something quick. I do not like chains and avoid them at all costs. Boy, were we glad we did. We started with a Greek appetizer (sorry can't pronounce or spell it at this point); it was with feta cheese, red peppers and homemade pita chips!! YUM!!!! Then we got a chicken-bake and a chicken gyro. Italian and Greek-all done RIGHT! We had lots of leftovers and might have been better off sharing (only 2 of us), but the food was too good to not try multiple dishes. We stopped in Cambridge as we were traveling through Ohio and decided to have dinner at The Forum. It was a great decision as the food was absolutely wonderful! My spouse and I each ordered the Greek salad but it was much more than the typical Greek salad. It included dolmathes, spanakopita, and tiropita. It was the best Greek meal I have experienced and that includes all the food we ate during a two week vacation to Greece. The service we received was also exceptional. Our server was friendly and efficient. I wish The Forum was located close to our home in Indianapolis because we would dine there frequently. People living in or near Cambridge are very fortunate to have this jewel in their town. I urge travelers passing through on Interstate 70 to stop in The Forum for a memorable meal. read more

Not a lot of options outside of chains on a Sunday so we tried this place based on Trip Advisor's ratings. The restaurant was clean, servers were very nicer and prices were reasonable. Their menu was relatively large and covered many different types of food. Unfortunately I am a believer of the saying "Jack of all trades is a master of none." The Forum proved that. Our appetizers were okay, (the Fajita Nachos were made with ground beef) but came out fast. Our mains were average also. My experience was hindered by receiving a piece of cold Prime Rib (I'm not totally faulting their cooks, I asked for rare and they just didn't sear the meat long enough to warm it). I sent it back and it was returned quickly, was warm, and tasted great. Like I said, this place was okay but I'll get something else if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Stumbled upon this gem about a year ago going through Cambridge. Ordered the pasta sampler and it was delish! Have been back several times even though I live about 45 mins.away! Last time got the Greek sampler appetizer the Spanikopita(sp?) and stuffed grape leaves were my fav! Will always stop here when I'm in town and hungry! Held an 80th birthday dinner for 22 at the Forum over Memorial Day weekend. We had reservations and our long table was set and ready for our group when we arrived. We had one primary server who was assisted by several others. The service was wonderful and everyone 's food came out exactly as ordered. We ordered three of the Greek sampler appetizers for the table. Each of the selections on the sampler were excellent, particularly the calamari. I ordered the pork chops which were grilled to perfection along with a baked potato and side salad. The menu had a lot of variety to choose from between the Italian and Greek cuisine. They had a decent wine list, which they were changing, with fair pricing. A great experience from clean restrooms to exceptional service to great food. We'll surely stop back again. read more

Had dinner at the Forum when stopping overnight in Cambridge on our travels. Surprised to see the nice ambience. Ordered the saganaki as an appetizer and was not disappointed! Very good! My husband and I love to stop here when in the area. The food is delicious with the Philly Cheese steak being my all time favorite. They have pasta, pizza and sandwiches. The breaded ravioli is also very good but my ultimate favorite is the tiramisu for dessert. The service is usually spot on with attentive servers. Only 4 stars this time because cleanliness was not up to par on our recent stop. Someone must have called off for the day because the the carpet hadn't been swept all day. read more

I came to this restaurant to fuel up before the OHIO SPARTAN Beast race, and was extremely glad I did. It was recommended to me by someone at the Ditty Deli in Zanesville. Not only that, it was conveniently located across the street from my hotel! Schwing. We ordered a vegetable pizza for the table, and I also had the blackened Salmon with a side salad and onion twister thingys.... Salad came out, was good. Pizza came out, and also was good. Kinda mix between deep dish and NY style..not thin, not thick. It was cut strangely, not into 8 slices, but like a checkerboard. So being round, some pieces had crust, but the pieces in the center did not. One of my friends was upset about this, and I somewhat agree...who likes a pizza without crust! It was good though, despite having black olives (which I don't like), but I was able to pick them off. The blackened salmon was fantastic. Again, who said you cant get good seafood in middle-of-nowhere OHIO!. I had fish the other day in S. Florida, and it didn't even compare to this. Overall, had a very nice time here. The place is pleasant enough, and the wait-staff was friendly enough (and food comes out quickly), but it's mediocre when it comes to the food. As friendly as my waitress was, when I asked her about the Elvis pork chop, she couldn't tell me much about it--she'd never tried it (nor could she really give me any recs from the menu when I asked). But it sounded good, so I ordered it anyway. First came a salad, which was all iceberg and not much else, other than some croutons and maybe a tiny shard of red onion. It came with Greek dressing, which was housemade, but the whole thing was bland. At the same time, warm bread came, and it looked promising (almost like garlic rolls), but it was also pretty bland. Still, redemption could be found in the main course. Or not. Unfortunately, Elvis had left the building, and the pork (It didn't have the look of a chop, but more, as another reviewer said, pork medallions) he left in his place was bone dry (i.e. overcooked) and a bit of work to chew (again, because it was over), and the Italian seasonings supposedly on it lacked flavor. So it was basically like eating cardboard that had been processed from a pig. The broccoli accompanying it was probably a little more cooked than I'd do it at home, but again, it just lacked seasoning. I ended with some baklava, which was OK. It lacked the texture or flavor of a really good one like we get at the good places back in LA, but it was better than the rest of the meal. I doubt I'll be back in this town anytime soon (ever?), but there are a lot of great small town restaurants. This one was staffed by nice people, but the food just wasn't up to snuff. Objectively -- 3.5 stars. Relative to what is available in Cambridge, probably 4 or even 5 stars. It is certainly a good alternative to the chain restaurants in the area. Friendly staff. Service was slow, but it was the day before Thanksgiving -- I suspect that they were short-staffed, it was noon and they were busy. Homemade warm bread sticks were nice. They made the wait for the food acceptable. The chili was unremarkable. Ground beef and beans in a bland tomato sauce, utterly unmolested by any kind of seasoning. A generous portion of shredded cheddar cheese was served on the side. The sirloin steak salad was good. The ample portion of steak was prepared as requested and sliced up into the salad. The honey Dijon was good. It seemed like there was almost as much fried onion sticks as there was lettuce. My wife ordered the tuna steak sandwich. This was wonderful. I never imagined char-grilling a tuna steak and putting it on a burger roll. Served with a nice homemade dill sauce, and fries which were lightly breaded before frying. The dessert (Turtle Cream) was to die for. The menu included a combination of Greek, Italian and American favorites. The place had a good crowd of what seemed like mostly local people with a few people off the highway. Definitely worth a visit if you need a break from driving and you are not in a huge rush. read more

Thanks to other Yelp users, we decided to pick The Forum for dinner will visiting the area tonight. Fantastic choice. I had the prime rib with baked potato and my other half went with a small pizza. First I must say the service was fantastic. Not only were we seated quickly and our order taken quickly, but I don't think I have EVER had my food come so quickly. This was during dinner time on a Friday night when the place was full. The food was fantastic. If nothing else, try the warm breadsticks. I could have eaten those all night. But the prime rib was fantastic and they understand what "lots if butter" for my baked potato meant. Pizza was a success also. If you are in the area, give this place a try. read more

It's a good thing that the waitresses are easy on the eyes to compensate for the food. Smart tactic to hire cute and friendly staff to distract the customers from the obvious lack of effort in the kitchen. This place attempts a top shelf appearance... but don't be fooled. I ordered the waitress's favorite, a pasta dish, called Olympic chicken and my wife ordered stir fry. We sent the stir fry back. It was entirely canned ingredients, and gross. The pasta was bland, and also canned ingredients. The waitress was not surprised that we sent the food back. Definitely overpriced for the poor quality food. I use too eat here 5, 6 years ago when i traveled through, which at the time I would rate 4 to a close 5. Today I gave the Forum a 3. The Onion Soup was very sad, fake parsley, croutons instead of bread, and one piece of cheese served warm. I ordered 12 inch 4 Toppings pizza. I agree with the other travelers. In this area of 70 that has very few restaurant choices, the Forum was a pleasant surprise. It was sooooo much better than the alternatives, e.g., Cracker Barrels and McDonald's. We all had delicious dinners: pork chops, steaks, and chicken breasts. Adult portions are large and come with two sides. Kids portions come with one. Although we didn't have any, the pizza liked great. Good breadsticks too. I think this place is just fantastic, especially for this area. My partner and I discover The Forum a few years ago while on a trip to The Wilds (itself a five star attraction). Any time we come this way, we make sure to time it up so we can stop here for lunch or dinner. This weekend my mom and I were able to stop on Friday on our way down and Sunday on our way home. Friday night we got the dish that sold us on this place, saganaki, a flaming cheese appetizer. So yummy served with hot, homemade breadsticks. We also got homemade chicken noodle soup that was served very hot. We felt we would be hungry enough ( we weren't) to warrant an order of nachos. The nachos were just ok compared to the other items, probably wouldn't get them again. On Sunday we both ordered the turkey, dressing, and mashed potato dinner. It was so good. The mashed potatoes were perfect and the dressing was better than anything my family has ever been able to come up with at Thanksgiving! It was served with chicken gravy, never my first choice, but the Theo brothers even got that right. In the past I have tried various soups, even some crazy pepperoni pizza soup, and they have always been good. The stranger they sound, the better they are. We've never tried any of the Italian dishes, I'm always very leery to order Italian at non-Italian places, but the pizza always smells good. If you're in the area, you're not going to find a better restaurant than The Forum. read more

Good family fare, very friendly staff, and clean - a great alternative in an exit ramp commercial area filled with the same old chain restaurants. Had the steak and crab cakes, which were simple, well-prepared and delicious. The rolls were hot from the oven and the server was sweet, polite and prompt - even while the tables were filled with large parties. I would have liked to have seen just a couple more Greek dishes on the menu, even the more commonplace ones. If you are the type who sniffs derisively at food that isn't locally sourced, artisanal, and prepared by moody hipsters, keep driving. But if you want a nice place to stop while highway driving, and can't deal with the corporate logos, this is a good, keep-it-simple mom and pop joint. read more

As a local resident, I consider this one of the best places to eat in Cambridge. My favorite meal is the Olympic Chicken, which is on the dinner menu, but also available at lunch time if requested. My second favorite meal at The Forum is the Artichoke Dip appetizer and a bowl of their French Onion Soup. The coffee is always good, and service is usually very prompt, even during their busier times. My only "complaint" would be that some of their Italian standards - like the lasagna and spaghetti, aren't really that great, they aren't terrible, but they aren't what make this place stand out.
